WOW, the decent cops fed up with the bullshit of administrative and on the force corruption have finally banded together to do something about it. This will save a lot of lives on both sides. As far as I'm concerned, all administrative crimes should be removed and revoked, but the drug laws especially. The U.S. imprisons more people per capita than any other Nation and most of it is for drug "crimes". If you want to make something prolific, make a law against it, just look at prohibition. The "War on Drugs" has single-handedly destroyed more lives than any other campaign. Thanks Nancy Reagan. "Idaho State Police are handling the investigation, and have released few details about the altercation that led up to the shooting.

Meanwhile, angry calls are flooding the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Ryan Zollman told us he has not been able to sleep since Sunday's shooting.

He says that the week has been full of hate mail and threatening phone calls to his department."

"In the meantime, (Sheriff) Zollman says he and his staff are left dealing with backlash, and at times, threats.

I hope his widow recovers from the heart attack after learning her husband was killed/murdered. What a bizarre story. Likely the rancher wanted to humanely put down his bull after he learned of the accident- by the police who called him and told him his bull was injured- which is why he brought a rifle- versus the deputies who were likely try to kill it by peppering it with their service weapons after being scared of the bull. There is often a "shoot first" attitude by police towards any animal and often the type of weapons they have are not ideal for humanely putting down a large animal (it works fine on the family pets they shoot more usually.) I guessing, if it is ever released, it will be found out that the rifle caliber bullet killed the bull and what happened was the rancher, angry about the bull accident and also seeing it injured, raised his rifle to shoot the bull, the panicked officers saw him raise the rifle and/or shoot, and shot him- likely several times. I wonder why the witnesses (the driver and passenger who hit the bull haven't been interviewed or why that hasn't been made public?) I still won't advocate death threats or attacks on police but release the information to the public and discipline the officers depending on the evidence (civil lawsuits, firing, suspensions, criminal, etc.) And the rancher's estate and the driver should be handled civilly if there was some liability there (was the road marked for animal crossing or open-range and he was speeding, did the bull escape, etc.)
