Anyone know when the next Knapp show is?  I don't see anything on the C2C schedule for this weekend yet.

Knapp's regular c2c schedule is the 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month, and lately he has also been doing the 3rd Sat as well.
This weekend is only the second Sunday for this month, so it will probably be one of the other guests hosts.

I don't dig around too hard for youtube recordings, but there are a couple of Knapp's shows where this old dude who works at a convenience store or something like that literally films his radio playing C2C while he's working.  He'll interject a little comment or two (usually pretty inane) during the commercials.  It's absolutely enthralling in its strange little way.  You can hear him talking to people sometimes or you just watch this regular old crabby dude sitting there listening to the radio.  I'm totally fascinated by it.

I want to go to this convenience store. Let's all go!!

Thanks Morgus.  Well we got over the dreaded Noory Sunday, so we're heading in the right direction for the rest of the month at least.   ;)

This month is one of the few that has 5 Sundays and sometimes Knapp does the extra 5th Sunday, so here is hoping we get an extra does of Knapp this month!

I hope that if George Knapp himself comes by and sees that, he is not offended, because I love George, and I am overcome with the giggles by that image/typo juxtaposition. The way it comes from a guy named "Morgus" does not stifle the paroxysms even a little bit.

Oooh! Oooh! I just counted! That's twelve of them! One for each day of Christmas! Oh goody!

Ok, I'm not so sure about Rock Star Ghosts, but, well it is Knapp, so I'll give tonite's show a chance.

In the first half, George Knapp talks with researcher and writer Richard Thomas about a wide range of paranormal theories that could explain hauntings scientifically.

Next, journalist and research writer at Penn State, Matthew Swayne, will discuss true stories of rock star ghosts from renowned ghost hunters and researchers.

Not sure about the guest.  He seems a little green but at least Knapp is the host and he can guide Richard even though his phone sucks.  Knapp will still probably stick with the guest.  Art would probably have dropped him.  George N. would come back from the break and said that they lost Richard and can't get him back.

If Noory was the host I bet he would ask this guest about being "John-Boy" on the Waltons?  ;D

And then maybe would ask the guest how well he knew Earl Hamner, the creator of the Waltons.  He wrote some Twilight Zone episodes.  And then the usual comments about the cornfield and To Serve Man et al.  Of course Noory probably doesn't even who Earl Hamner is.

Why the hell is a caller talking about Illuminati conspiracy theories on a show about ghosts? I thought Premiere used call screeners.

Dang, ur right.  That's one of the worst phone connections I ever heard on C2C. Noory would
Have conveniently dropped him an hour ago.

Well, the first guest wasn't what I was hoping for.  He really didn't have a heck of a lot to say.  Hopefully the second guest will be better.  Maybe an Elvis ghost story.  Oh, that's right.  He's not dead.  ::) Except he'd be getting pretty close to 80 now if he was still alive.

I've had a couple margaritas so they could talk about recipes for bean dip and I'd listen.
Long as its not Nooron.  I need hard pharmicudical grade narcotics to listen to his crap.

Except he'd  get Earl Hamner confused with Earl Holliman and start asking him about his roles in Forbidden Planet, Nightman, and Police Woman.

"So tell me Earl, did she ever talk about what it was like to do that steamy sex scene with Shatner in Big Bad Mama? Or am I thinking of Anne Francis?  Speaking of which, it's too bad Honey West wasn't given more of a chance, because you two were simply sensational together in that. I loved watching the reruns on MeTV a couple of years ago.  They're not kidding when they call it "memorable entertainment."  Just like your iconic breakout comedic role as the desperate alcoholic cook in Forbidden Planet, which also happened to be the breakout role for Robby the Robot, who you cajoled into making rotgut whiskey for you.  How do you prepare for a scene like that?"

Only 15 minutes left for the "Stephen King" "Lennon" guy to get through...

You called it.  I hope Ian is listening.  :P

He got through.  That caller's nuts.  Stephen King did not kill John Lennon.  Seriously?   That's the sort of rumor that makes people think conspiracy theorists are nuts.  Mind flayer, Noory ought to book you. He loves psychics.

Well the second half was definitely a lot better than the first half.

I'm not a big fan of the split show format to begin with.  A show that's on every single night has the unavoidable problem of having to re-hash material as it is- why double the load?

I think Knapp is on so infrequently he is just trying to bring as many interesting stories to us as possible.

GN needs split shows because he can't be interesting and the cue cards malfunction after 2 hours.

MFM: GN...I see into your future...I predict tomorrow will be the worst show of your life. Stay home and call in sick.
GN: But I've done some really bad shows, how could tomorrow be my worst?
MFM: You will find a way, George.

Listening to that guest, bless his heart, was like listening to an interview with Karl Pilkington talking about ghosts, in more ways than one. At times it was uncomfortable. I felt kind of bad for the guy, who came across as a little in over his head. He even made George clarify at the beginning that he was "just a bloke who wrote about the paranormal sometimes."

I liked the caller who wondered if the increasingly widespread use of electronics was stirring up/charging/breaking down the connection between this realm and others. I thought that was an interesting question. It sadly did not get the subsequent intelligent discussion it merited, though.

And then there was the guy who got branded by aliens while he was driving.  :D

Damn I'm falling into bad Noory-based listening habits, programming myself to fall asleep during the intro.  Slept through most the show last nite.   :(

I think that the Stephen King-John Lennon guy has called Medved on conspiracy day too.

I don't know if he's for real or not. He's like those callers who call on this or that topic and gradually get around to the glory of hemp.

There was a guy named Dale who was the bane of the existence of John Carlson and some of the other hosts in this market back in the nineties. Carlson gave him his own theme music though.

Check out his website or even buy his book (I think he offers it in an Ebook.) He is serious about the bizarre theory and, somehow, manages to get calls in to many talk-shows. I recall another Bellgabber says he has signage on his car (or maybe person) and is around town somewhere in some West Coast city (I think.) In a way, I admire his tenacity and ability to get this theory onto the airwaves. Stephen King fan forums even talk about him.
