I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN FT. ROCK SAYS IT.

FROM THE SCORPION ARMY NEWSROOM : ART BELL WILL ANNOUNCE HIS RETURN TO BROADCASTING THIS WEDNESDAY. INTEL SUGGESTS HE WILL BROADCAST FROM THE NAVAJO NATION OR THE PHILIPPINES.

Er, to stir up interest in Jimmy's show?

Bingo. I've never listen to the show and let's face it I most likely never will. No offence but if it ain't Art it ain't Art. Now if this is just a stunt to boost listenership of Jimmy's show it will ensure that I never ever listen.

I'll predict that the announcement will be barely an announcement and will be buried at the end of the show.

Juan

Jimmy did not say the announcement would be on his show. He said that Keith Rowland had told him that Art would make an announcement on Wednesday. The place and time of the announcement was not specified.

The announcement will be that one of his cats will have it's own Twitter account

I get why people are tired of the teases. But I don't understand the distain of Art, Mr. Bell doesn't owe us anything.

I hope he does return his show is much better than snooron and stark raving clyde lewis.

To be fair to Art, it was Jimmy that said this blurb, and we have chosen to take it and run.

I am embarrassed to have invested so much energy, excitement, and belief that Art would easily sail past c2c.

I am relieved it is over.

this exactly.

I wish art well in whatever he ends up doing but I will not be coming along for the ride next time.

I agree that he has every right to retire and never do radio again, nor does he have to post in any forums or on FB.

What he does owe people is enough respect to stop with carrot dangling (if that indeed is what this is).

I don't know.  I kinda' think this is part of the ride.  After all, he IS a Showman.

What I do know is that whenever Art decides to power up again, I'll be there with my bags packed and my thumb out.     :)

With that hideous lineup of guests, I don't feel like I really came along last time.

Other than the opening segments, I think the Starfire Tor show of his was the last one I listened to when he was still doing C2C.

He'd have done well to shed some of his old guests such as Hoaxy, that Nostrildumbass guy, etc., and let them wallow in the muck that is C2C.  The "new" Art Bell show could've been something a little more evolved, something more worthy of a guy of Art's stature, but still edgy and interesting.  Oh well... What could've been.....

I also felt that he should have gone out in some new directions. His website put up some news stories about crazy sounding stuff I'd never heard of prior to show launch, and then focused on guests we were familiar with. I also wish he took some time out to chat with the audience a bit at the beginning, talk about the news, weather, life, etc before jumping right into the guest topic.

Was still cool to have him back though.

Also my prediction is that Art will be a guest on Jimmy Church's show once a week or so, which would let him sidestep the non-compete. Just a hunch.

Its funny the people who say they won't listen to art if he comes back. I would bet that most would. Lets face it your all members of an Art Bell Forum, obviously you liked Art at one time or another.

Also take into account other options are limited. There is limited stuff to do at night. If your up at 3am for work or just a night owl. What are you going to do? Similar Podcast are far below the product that Art Bell put out. Even Dark Matter was vastly superior to its alternatives. Clyde Lewis is a Lunatic, Wells rants and preaches too much, Noory sucks, Jimmy Church isn't nearly as good as Art, Steve Warner can never find time for the studio, etc. I believe i spend more time looking for something decent on netflix than I do actually watching Netflix.

If Art putting out a show, I am on board. Plus it is not going to cost anyone a dime, just a internet subscription which everyone already has, as the show will be streamed for FREE.

For what it's worth, I am putting together the home studio...

I know.

I just like your show. I wish there were more of it! Good luck with the studio, may it not turn into Nooy's imagination Hawain studio.  ;D

Keep us updated with photos as your studio grows!

Uncle Duke

Art's playing us?  Jimmy's playing us?  I don't put it past either of them, remember this is about ratings/radio face time.  Will Art come back?  Will Jimmy move beyond low A ball podcast?  Who knows? Sadly, I'm to the point of saying "Who cares?"

Steve Warner is the best post-Art radio I've heard, Jimmy is a close (or distant?) second, depending on his guests.  All the other DMRN shows are at best a distant third.  If Steve and/or Jimmy can't produce a consistently good program, C2C is (and will remain) the standard.  Sad, but true.

Agreed. I do believe steve and jimmy are both better than Noory right now.

I would go with a full on Noory studio just for the ambiance.

Meh. Fool me once ...

If Art broadcasts, I'll listen, but I won't get caught up in the preliminary hoopdeedoo again because I will be waiting for the inevitable shoe to drop.

Jackstar

Did Art announce that he would rather that I be unbanned? Because that's what my first thought was.

Look at the chatter that can arise from a SIMPLE, vague sentence at the end of a sparsely listened to show.

We do this to ourselves.

Until Art mentions the announcement himself, it means nothing.

Danger!UFO

Jimmy is doing a nice job. Give him a chance.

ANY announcement from Art should be welcomed.

The Dark Matter Radio Network is still in it's infancy. It is still evolving. Keith is doing a great job putting this together. Art will have a place to call home when he comes back.

That being said the DMRN is now a ready made channel that would be a great addition to the Sirius line up. DMRN could still stream on the internet. C2C still broadcasts and is also featured on Sirius, correct? Art could return. The other shows get great exposure as they promote their own websites/shows. It's a win-win situation. Yeah, maybe the Sirius bridge has already been burned but who knows. Stranger things have happened.
