Do You REALLY Think Art Will Be Back in 2015?

Here is a twitter post Keith made a couple days ago when I was getting those issues:

Dark Matter Radio @DMRadioNet  ·  Jul 24
For the record, the noise/music you hear from time to time, drops in when I loose connection from here to the streaming server. #DMRadioNet

onan

I'm waiting until July 2015 to make a decision.

I have noticed recently that the Dark Matter Radio Network has appeared to get overloaded during their more popular shows like Fade to Black, causing loss of stream for minutes and buffering. Keith has alluded to network problems on his webpage too.
What will happen when Art Bell returns to use this streaming network and of course increasing the load by many orders of magnitude?
Would that cause the same (or worse) streaming problems he complained to Sirius about and the same result perhaps?
Art wont use this lame network. He will team up with Alex Jones and broadcast nighttime, while Alex broadcasts daytime.
Alex Stream is infallible and can handle the millions of listeners that he has.

There must be some show out there that would be happy to have him fill in when he wants.  If he truly wants to do more, he could then decide to expand a little

Rumour has it that there is a little syndicated show that calls itself "Coast to coast" that is always looking for a weekend fill in to give their rather atrocious week day host a couple of days off to goof off prep for the next weeks shows.

i think a team of hosts, is the wave of the future... just sayin

Dude there is 0 chance of that happening. Art has stated he does not agree with Alex jones.
Never ever, going to happen.

He will also not work with premier, and has stated as much.

How so?

C2c is team suck outside of 2 nights of knapp a month.

malliard

well, younger people will not want to listen to the same hour for 4 hours on internet radio...
so if you get a bunch of different interesting segements or mini shows... fast pace interest...
never mind... it will never happen within this walls

I can't see Art going back to a corporate network gig.  Even if they were to offer him creative freedom, part-time, etc., crawling back to conglomerate radio would be a sell-out.  It's not like he's chasing fame & money.
...

Most people Art's age are out golfing or sitting at home picking their nose and relaxing.  When and if Art returns it will be no doubt be a smaller, independent, low-key effort and I'm fine with that.

And what's with the Alex Jones jones?  Why on Earth would Art want to connect himself with that nut case?

I have founded a volunteer organization, no need for remuneration.

Same here.

People Art's age are retired from jobs they probably would say they liked, but with someone like Art radio is his passion.  And it's not physically demanding (at least I don't picture it being so).

I would suggest he start with a smaller scale next time - one or two day's a week, and even take some of those days off when he feels like it.

I said it 2 years ago, and it`s still true to this day:  Art just doesn`t play well to a small audience and he is not patient enough to build a larger audience.

I was highly skeptical of his satellite radio venture; and I remain equally skeptical of any podcast/internet nonsense in the future.

Art`s only viable option is to kiss and make up with Premier Radio and take over the weekend slot of C2C AM.

me, too.  when the announcement came that art's return would be on sirius, it was like being told you're getting a new car, only to find out it's a 74 vega.

It was an attempt at humour that went terribly wrong.  I think hell would freeze over before Art would become Noory's weekend lackey...

Alex doesn't mind if Art does not agree with him. That is not a problem. It would simply be sharing a great network, Art could say anything he wants, no censorship, have a crapload of listener - worldwide, and I am sure they could come to a fair deal about how much money Art gets out of it (for using Alex's infrastructure). Probably would have to do with how many subscribers Art manages to attract.

Only reason I can see for Alex not to do it - Arts record for quitting, and possibly antagonizing Noory/Coast where he is a guest occasionally.

Are you shitting me?! Howdy, pards. A voice from the recent past. I haven't thought about AB for, literally, months. Moments ago he sprang to mind for some unknown reason, and I thought, "I wonder whether that old fraud is still going through the motions with a webpage." Lo and behold I read the "plan to return in in 2015" blurb. I'm baffled. I'm flabbergasted. I'm so shaken I've been startled out of a (how long has it been anyway?) several months' retirement. I'm so startled, I had to see what was the haps with BellGab.

I truly can't believe it. Is there anyone left to listen to Art? I'm certainly not inclined to, since (even if if Art hadn't gone off in a fit of pique and essentially told all his allegedly beloved fans to kiss his ass) his last show pretty much sucked great big Doctor Pol-style Black Angus bull balls. The guests were lame, Art's interviewing was poor, and the production values were pitifully lame. Not to mention that the Sirius deal which a whooooole lot of people tried to warn Art not to do turned out to be little more than suicide by incremental strangulation. Did I say, "Told ya so"?

I was so pissed off at the way Art showed his ass and ran away that I even reassessed my view of Dave Noory. It seemed to me that the real pro in the whole hooha was George. He was the guy, sucky, wooden and bone-marrow-deep dumb as he was, who acted professionally, showing up night after night, impervious to his own incompetence. That's worth something.

So. What have I missed? And who is Lily now?

The banning.
The great un-banning.
The great re-banning.

Other than that it's been pretty quiet.
Welcome (back) to the forum.  Post often.

Hey Sardondi, welcome back.  I got sucked back into this abyss recently too.  I don't have any good arguments against anything you said.  Just, next time don't hold back so much!

Well, hell. If Sardondi can find his way home, I'll pop in and say welcome back. Not a whole lot seems to have changed, but stay out of the Political forums unless you're partial to pig anuses.
