Grinch and the orig CB special are the twin pillars of the season imho.  Rudolph used to be in there till I had my first beer, but those other two, will always live on.  I could probably write a philosophical treatise comparing the epiphanies of The Grinch and Linus.

I have a Linus Christmas tree I bought a few years ago. It's the one with just the single red bulb making the top fall over. Says more about the season than shitloads of greenery.

I quite like the Jesse Stone movies. I have been a fan of Selleck for a long time. The actual character written by Robert Parker is much younger than Selleck's portrayal.

And good news, there is going to be another Jesse Stone movie.

I have seen only three of them.  When I heard that the latest one, 2015's Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise, is coming to DVD in January 2016, I knew now would be the best time to watch them all, in order of release.  I haven't read any of the Parker books, but imagine they must be good, as these movies are consistently good.

Excellent.  One creepy movie. Price is excellent, of course. The scene where his deceased wife pays him a visit gave me nightmares as a kid.

Daddy And Them. A brilliant dark comedy with Billy Bob Thorton. A dysfunctional, drunken family gets together after one gets thrown in jail. It's the epitome of a character study. It's one of my favorite movies and I always rewatch it when I get the chance.
