I too tested very high in high school. The guidance counselor called me into her office one day and told me I had tested at genius level and asked why I was only getting B and C grades. I told her I was saving my brains for college ... but she didn't find that nearly as humorous as I did.

Regarding Jackstar -- IMHO he was just another pompous asshole troll and I'm glad he's gone. No forum needs members that are total dicks to everybody over everything just to amuse themselves -- I don't care what their personal psychological situation is. Good decision by MV and good riddance.

It could have been the teachers... it could have also been the class material bored you to fucking tears and didn't interest you.  Grades sometimes have nothing to do with intelligence level.  If it was math related...  I had a hard fucking time with algebra, but aced geometry.  Was told that is sometimes the case...  What the guidance counselor might have been going off of how you did on assessment tests given at each grade level in school.  Those, and a specific test they offered some students to take is what my state used as a guideline to decide whether or not a student was "gifted."  I was told once that if my parents wouldn't have agreed that I should go to special classes that the school would have "strongly" recommended it.

How many other lurkers are like me? It's easier to just stop visiting bellgab because some opinionated asshat is threadjacking with cryptic references and insults, because attempting to argue is tiresome and unproductive. I know MV usually has a hands off approach to running the forum, and that's what makes it a generally fun place to visit. But if there's a crazy person ridiculing the people entering your business, it's going to tend to drive away customers.

Makes me wonder how much money MV lost because of you.   I think he probably lost a lot more business due to the general public not visiting when Art stopped plugging it because his show was gone, not just the lurkers and Jackstar haters.

Apparently... even though he thinks those tests are bullshit... there are "differences" in people who can accomplish feats like that.  BTW... in my opinion... some IQ test that someone claims they took and got such and such of a result... complete bullshit.  Someone doesn't grow up a dumbass then becomes a fucking genius at adulthood.  There's going to be other tests you took in life that's going to have results that others are going to notice.  And, there are many so called "IQ" tests that have a wide variety of scores. MENSA's wiki says that the highest standard score on most tests is 160.  I guess he might as well try to become the 27th member of the "Mega Society"... being just a regular member wouldn't be good enough for 'ol Jackstar...

Did he actually do a lot of reporting *before* he was banned?  I just thought it was funny that he was reporting after he was banned.
