Who...all I can say is, I can't wait! When the cleaning person gets a load of that fatass pantload and reports back to the ss office, oh boy!!!  The gift that justs keeps giving.  I can't wait. Went to the doctor yesterday and he saw me with both my re-injured knees and immediately signed the approval for my getting a housekeeper. Thursday I go to orthopedics to arrange for surgery on my injured left ankle.
As I said in an earlier post that no one pays attention to, this week WE are busy
And frhom time to time both Kathy and I will bitch at each other.
This whole moving/storage thing has been very stressful to us and our cats.
And both our nerves are on edge.

I'm overcoming my common sense to say something here. I must be stupid.

I work ass, and I clean my own house, but stuff gets away from me over time so every couple of months I pay a friend to come in and do the deep cleaning. I do my best to take care of the daily chores. This is not bragging, it is normal daily life. Like wiping your butt. It just has to happen or you don't have a life. I can't really afford to pay for a cleaner but like I say, a few times a year I come up with a hundy or more to pay a nice lady for a few hrs of assistance. Win win.

But, even though I'm paying her with $ that I earned, and I'm working my job while she cleans at my home, I still feel weird about someone else cleaning up after me and my 11yr old. I don't understand how anyone can be comfortable with accepting payment from someone else for a third party to clean a neglectful clutter/hazmat zone. WTF?

Yeah, and while I'm physically working and doing all this active generation of an earned living, I've got a bitch of a torn meniscus in left knee (yes it hurts, no synthetic analgesics) which I can't currently afford the surgery for, but I'm working on it- the bum knee and the funds to fix it simultaneously. Won't go into the right ankle which hurts like crap at the end, sometimes in the middle, of a long day. Some evenings I gimp myself to the shower (It's called personal hygiene) wondering how many days I can keep this up. Yeah I know, sign up for Obamacare. I get it. Yes I paid the fee on my taxes for not assimilating btw.

I also enjoy working. Go figure. It's the want to that keeps me working, not the tired or the pain which stops me. And honestly, when I can't do some shit for myself, or can't afford to pay my way for something we need, I get disappointed with myself and resolve to do more, better. I just don't like, dig this doing less than nothing crap and expecting the welfare posse to come save your ass from yourself. Do you even wipe your own butt? Geez...

Just posting to let you guys know I spoke with Open Lines Gerry's family and he is out of surgery and apparently it went well.  The doctor said he should hopefully have full use of his hearing and the doc was also able to salvage the facial nerve they were worried they might have to cut.   I'll let Gerry post more about this when he gets back to bellgab.   I got the chance to meet up with him on Saturday before his surgery - actually spent the night at his place and he's a good guy despite what some of you might think of him.    I wish him a speedy recovery, and if/when I hear of anything else that's important regarding his condition, I will let you all know.

Falkie, do you ever have, err uhm, issues with your cats leaving their litter box to complete their business? Stress is at the top of the list for cats to experience litter box behavioral issues. And with your penchant for collecting nice things, I imagine it could take quite a while to locate the source of the odour.

As I have said before, my 2 cats mostly stay outside because one of them is afraid of Boop since she guarded the front door and hissed at my 3 cats and frightened them. My most sensitive cat, Fuzzy, is now afraid to come in and she, Fluffy, Little Girl get fed wet food in dishes outside my front door and water and dry food is left out for them every day and the dry food is taken in at night because of racoons coming up here if I leave food out overnight. Fluffy, being long ago bonded to me, comes in at night. Boop, Fluffy, Fuzzy and Little Girl all know how to use the cat box and are neT kitties and the boxes are sifted and cleaned on a regular basis. - the only reason anyone asks this question is to imply that my house reeks of unchanged litter boxes, which it does not. I buy 25 lb bags of litter atba time, use baking soda and cat box liners and soak the changed boxes in the tub with Lysol deoderizing cleaner and thoroughly rinse and dry them before they get refilled, as I have done for 38 years, NOT with the same sets of boxes. When they wear out I buy new ones. If there were cat box odor in here, my obsessive apartment manager would make it a point to mention it and she hasn't.
Soon I will have a housekeeper since I re-injured both knees and it will free up my time to do things like cat box maintenance and laundry.

Aldous, you have NO idea what you are talking about and post a post that seems to mimic my ailments seemingly to justify your hateful rant by saying you suffer from a similar condition.
I fell and fractured my right knee years ago. Nothing was done to fix it except for sending me to physical therapy which did nothing to stop the pain. My knee surgeon ( which I finally got referred to after 11 years) says the kneecap has cartiledge chips floating under it as well as bone chips and the fluid that develops in the kneecap is a result of the knee trying to lubricate the damaged area. My kneecap needs complete replacement and he wants me to lose weight. I have had trouble doing that but am no longer GAINING weight and am eating healthier with a lot of salads and drinking a lot of water.
He wants me to go back to physical therapy but I have done that in the past and his NOT being an orthopedic doctor he does not understand that it is not a PT problem, the kneecap is permanently damaged and has been getting worse for years. If they had fixed it in the first year, I'd probably be walking fine today.
The left knee was injured in 1996. Its repair was never done because I became homeless then. When I fractured my right knee, I favored it and weakened it.
Last month ( and last December as well) I fell and further damaged both knees.
Both Kathy and the doctor saw and heard me scream in pain yesterday in the doctor's office as he examined both knees and my damaged left ankle which has the ligament sticking out of it the size of a large walnut. It also causes me excruciating pain and along with my legs, I can't put weight on it without screaming.
I go into the surgeon on Thursday to arrange to get surgery on it. The boot they gave me to wear did nothing to stop the pain and I was told it would have to be operated on to fix it to allow me to walk normally.
Both my knees are now filled with fluid and the right one hurts 24-7 and feels like its burning ss if someone poured gasoline on it.
As for your bitching about my getting a housekeeper, that program is set up to HELP people who cannot do basic tasks due to injuries. I and Kathy have busted our asses off to get this place cleaned up but when I cannot put any weight on my knees or foot, I can't KEEP the place clean.
I am disabled physically.
Numerous doctors have certified that to numerous agencies and departments.
The programs out there are there to assist those people who need help.
If you resent it on a general basis because YOU work and resent your tax dollars being used to fund the program, then lobby the legislature to abolish those programs along with Congress.
If you resent it on a specific basis and only apply it to ME, then it truly shows how much of a jerk you truly are.
I am NOT faking my disability.
If you dislike it, too bad.
Drone and Gerry have both heard me scream over the phone as have Cunandero and MJ as well.
They KNOW I am not faking it.
I also had 2 major asthma attacks this morning with the usual effects as well.
That's another one of my ailments that will NEVER go away.

My knees and left ankle are all in pain as I write this.
By the way, I looked up Planet Fitness while I was posting this. Nearest gym is in Oakland. If they open one in this area I will join it but I assume that once I have ankle surgery I won't be walking anywhere for awhile.
