Another scheme to rip off the taxpayers, Mr. Senda?  I don't think that one will work.

From the U.S. Department of Justice:

Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

http://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm

Well that's for service animals under Justice Dept rules.

"Different state and/or federal laws apply to different situations.  Under federal law, service animals are covered by the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHAA), and the Air Carriers Access Act (ACAA). Emotional support animals are covered by the FHAA and the ACAA. The California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Unruh Act offer equal or greater protection to federal law for people using service or emotional support animals."

"In addition to service animals, emotional support animals and animals that provide some type of disability-related assistance are permitted as a reasonable accommodation in housing...  Assistance animals can be any type of animal, not just a dog or miniature horse."

"For example, a cat that provides emotional support to a person with a disability could be permitted as a reasonable accommodation in housing because it is an assistance animal. However, the same cat would not be covered by the ADA’s more narrow definition of “service animal” and could not come into public spaces"

"There is no requirement that the animal be specially trained or certified, however, the animal must provide a disability-related benefit to the individual with a disability."

There's more but I gotta go, my elk just reminded me its time to take my medicine

Fabulous, so in principle every crazy cat lady can apply.

I'm all for animals, and shouldn't make fun.  But I remember that baby kangaroo story and had to laugh

I'm seeing more and more dogs being carried around in stores as 'service animals', for some it's another loophole

Falkie you claim to be a conservative? You are the embodiment of everything a conservative opposes.

Bullshit.
Conservatives receive Social Security and retirement benefits every day and YOU know it.

I think landlords should allow well trained, well behaved pets, within reason - it can be a problem finding a place that allows them sometimes.

Target and sometimes Walmart is filled with women carrying tiny dogs in pouches.
Some of them are rather cute and friendly.
Chihuahas are the new yuppie babies for women, particularly in Walnut Creek.
I've seen as many as 10 little dogs in the Target there at on time.

Many landlords are against them because some pet owners allow their dogs, cats, birds to do damage and move out leaving the landlord to bear the expense of repairs.
This building is a pet, dog, cat & other animal friendly building.
my former downstairs neighbor Sue, had this huge parrot in this huge wicker cage and a cranky old cat.
She met someone she fell in love with, got married and now lives in a house.
She was a sweet person and liked my cats too.
I paid $250 as a cat deposit when I moved in here and have two litter boxes in the bathroom across from me and they're regularly sifted and cleaned with fresh litter, liners and baking soda.
Have done that for years. My cats tend to go outside except when we go out and they sleep in here. Fuzzy, Fluffy and Boop do know how to use the cat box.
Fuzzy never saw one before when she moved in here and stepped in and used it the first time she had to go.
She's a smart little girl cat.
So is Boop and fluffy is smart as well.
Kathy loves all of them.

Bullshit.
Conservatives receive Social Security and retirement benefits every day and YOU know it.

Because it's not about receiving it you dimwit. For example - in my country I went to a public school and I am and always have been totally against them. My parents have been paying for the public school system in taxes for all their lives and still are long after I am out of it. In my little hometown there was actually no choice, because there were no other schools, probably few people could afford one after having to pay taxes for public schools, public healthcare and other public stuff (none of which work). At the same time I am not saying there shouldn't be schools or, better, school vouchers for children whose parents couldn't afford any school otherwise. This should be understood and explicity called and handled as welfare because that's what it is.

It is about your way of life. You got yourself in your situation because you didn't take care about yourself. You didn't think of improving your skill set to get a decent job, of saving any money for your older days, of securing yourself against bad health, of keeping your weight in order and - most of all - of having some people close to you who could help you outside of institutions provided by the state (at whatever level). How about living within your means? The most hilarious thing is that you actually seem to be uncomfortable in your life, which is a very good thing for someone receiving benefits. But your way of getting out of it is trying to pursue some ridiculous hobby and getting into horrible debt in process. Is that living within your means? Which part of this is conservative exactly?

This from the man who admitted to:

1. Not being able to get an erection.
2. In the past paying for "escorts".
3. Stating that his GF's thighs prevented him from being able to .......
4. taking money from escorts.

Interestiing.  So Falkie's cat could be certified as a service cat as long as she provides some disability-related service for him.  Like thinking.  Instead of a seeing eye dog, Falkie would have a thinking brain cat.  And since Falkie doesn't drive, the cat could be his chauffeur.

All I know is I've been subjected to more work-mandatory service-pet material in the last two years than the previous 10. And still have never seen a one in the workplace.

Me, I have been wading through reading Killing Jesus. So much information I did not know about much like in Killling JFK where I learned more than I wanted to about JFK's & Jackie's sex lives.

How does it work for you and Kath?  Do you put it in and then flip a coin to see who has to move?

From what I've heard, even industrial strength viagra won't get the job done for Falkie.  He has to make a splint for it with a popsicle stick and some duct tape.

*Actually, half a popsicle stick is more than long enough.  Maybe a third.

The way I see it in my fetid and warped imagination progresses thus: (Those of a nervous disposition stop reading any further)

Imagine if you will; two hefty bodies, snoring loudly...Senda wakes; he needs a piss..

He returns from the loo and goes back after remembering to wash his hands. He sees Kathy in the half light...her heaving bosom beckoning his gaze....Senda goes back and dries his hands...he returns to the boudoir.. "Damn;...He goes back and lifts his bulk on tip toes, and runs the taps (Faucets) and gives Charlie a good swill with soap and warm water.

He returns to the place where the object of his insatiable desire reclines...his returning has brought her from deep sleep..."George?"   George ponders: The way to a woman is foreplay..YES! "You awake Kathy?"

"Not really, why?"

Foreplay over, George makes his advances...He puts the full weight of his bulk on one knee on the edge of the bed...The tell tale sound of splintering wood shatters the quiet...Undeterred, George focuses as best he can without his sponsored specs, and homes in on the musky aroma that is presented to him...Closer, he reaches out and just then (Cont pp94)

You're implying there's something wrong with boyfriends. How so?

That aside; don't get too sanctimonious on Senda's behalf after the vile diatribe he took on Redacted. Remind us again what he suggested she do with the mic stand?

That's Natalie Dormer I think, from The Tudors and Game of Thrones.
