YouTube is free, easy and unlimited.  I used OBS studio to stream live, which is also easy and free. And you don't have to save the recordings after the live session if you don't want to worry about YouTube reviewing and flagging.

It also has a free chat right next to the stream window, which I think is much better than the chat rooms like IRC.

It would be kinder to have him put to sleep. My mother died of pancreatitis and its horrible. She was medicated to the end but it was painful to know she knew she wasn't going to survive.
