one bum is living on a monthly rent controlled by me. the other one passes out in the alley behind it. and yes, call me an oblivious person. these people should take care of themselves. but at least one is up and at em now. i take pride in the shit i do to help people.

How much is "a few hundred" a month? I still call shenanigans sir!

At the very least your money is ill-spent and at the very worst you're lying to your BellGab brethren. Which is it you snot-nosed poster? Which is it?

*with all due respect.

Did I hear right Chefist, that you might be set to go beyond 2hrs this coming Fri Night on Martinez Tonight?  Two hours went by like a half hour Sat night.  Being Bellgabbers, I suppose we could go non stop without even trying very hard. ;D

Brig, I have to get the live stream up...The Mudking has offered to help, which I greatly appreciate. I have a learning curve on exactly how to do it. Once I get it all figured out we will go as long as we want.

Thanks for your support!

"Hate" is rather strong...contempt more like it.
x2. I found this place a time ago after searching for "george noory sucks". years later, we watched the man , the radio god, Art, falter and fall time and time again. Did what we could to help him. He gave up.  Noory has been working from the start. Noory helps folks. Has here in fact. I love Art, respect his old work, but Noory is trucking on.

i quit listening to talk radio. its all political now, and it will get worse. I listen to siriusxm at home and and in my truck. theres a channel called Willies Roadhouse. Willie Nelson and a bunch of old country tunes. Sometimes I'll switch to Howard, but even his show is shit anymore.
Just want to say, I dont come around very often, but it's really nice to hear from ya guys.
edit-ya, Noory is ok. He aint going out of his way to be an asshole. He threw a bone to Falkie. That should say something. Hes got some compassion. He didnt hire Falkie because of Falkie's resume, just sayin.
editx2. either my bad f key is fucking my keyboard up or the booze is . lets see.  ???

Can you imagine, what a visible, tangible difference you could make here in Falkie's life? You've been pissing your money away on strangers, bitching about the way he is treated.

YOU CAN BE THE ONE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

An old man had a habit of early morning walks on the beach. One day, after a storm, he saw a human figure in the distance moving like a dancer. As he came closer he saw that it was a young woman and she was not dancing but was reaching down to the sand, picking up a starfish and very gently throwing them into the ocean.

“Young lady,” he asked, “Why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”

“The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I do not throw them in they will die.”

“But young lady, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it? You cannot possibly make a difference.”

The young woman listened politely, paused and then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves, saying, “It made a difference for that one.”

We really are the victims here, aren't we?   :'(

As long as we have bellgab, we have a safe space, a place of support and comfort for the politically incorrect people of the world.

Others may come and go, but the strong and true bellgabbers remain...

the irony. when I talk to them, I say a very cheesy quote that carried me along when I was hurting back in '01. It was from the movie Castaway. "I have got to keep breathing.Tomorrow the sun will come up, and who knows what the tide will bring". One little change changed my life. I tell that to everyone I help.
I was always an old curmudgeon. An old bitter piece of shit. Its an easy life, nay-saying and dismissing shit. But you don't get anything out of it either. Exhausting. I'm still drunk and bitter, don't get me wrong. But it's a lot easier to walk through life with your eyes open. I like helping people. I'm selfish that way. Because it makes me feel good too.

I'm into OTA transmissions...there is a small group of independent broadcasters that are starting up commercial free stations across the country. Here is the one in Tucson that I listen to almost exclusively.

http://www.radiolineup.com/stations/KRDX-FM

It's only on from 7am to 6pm, but the music mix is excellent...and no commercials, so one can't complain...

These are popping up in more and more cities...

If i ever talked to him personally, I would have  helped. I think the closest we got was in PM here on BG. I will never send money to someone online unless I know them personally. And I have. But I figure, if need be, I could help Falkie out. We will have to talk first. And if so, I am not talking about a pizza. It'll be a considerable donation to his gd cat food und or something... I do think the bs charity things hes doing goes in his pocket. I get he does that. But even Falkie, believe it or not BG,  deserves some quality of life.

sorry about your cat

Thanks, mang, he's a good kitty. I'm going to miss him.

But! Not yet!

December 1st his doctor gave him a couple weeks to live...but we're both too stubborn to let it go.  >:( He's skinny as a rail and weighs about a feather, but dammit we're not giving up!

He's still grooming, peeing some and pooping so the internals appear to be working...but let me tell you the Earth will be poorer for his passing.  :'(

It would be kinder to have him put to sleep. My mother died of pancreatitis and its horrible. She was medicated to the end but it was painful to know she knew she wasn't going to survive.

Shit the dude got CASES and BAGS of cat food last Sendathon. For some reason, he needed to buy MOAR cat food as evidenced by the "haul" videos.

Look, I feed hungry cats and dammit doesn't take CASES of food followed up by CANS of food donated by the taxpayers of California...just saying...You can always send the money to me, "I'll make sure it gets there."
