...Listen here, you son of a bitch...

Fair enough, that explains that then.

Steve, sorry if I missed it but was there anybody else in the house or out in the hall? Anybody in the vicinity of the light switches that might have toggled them before you glanced over there. toggled them and duct out of sight.

Well it's not Cockney...which is very difficult for many of us here in the US to understand, especially spoken quickly.  Hmmm, he has some Scottish twangs from time to time...as far as "classy"...no, this accent would not be one of the aristocracy that is for sure...

I was just curious how it came across. I once heard a couple of British girls talking on an American radio show, and they were a couple of (to be perfectly honest with you here) slags. Really common sounding, to my ears, and the host was going 'oh my, we have royalty here!'. I don't think he was taking the piss either. I thought perhaps every British accent sounded the same, in the same way as you sometimes mistake us for Australians - a grievous insult, by the way, damn you all!!.

Nick Redfern comes from the West Midlands, where he would be called a 'Brummie', and they have quite a strong, rather comical accent. You can get even further down and end up in what is called the Black Country where the accent is even thicker and words like 'you' sound like 'yow', for instance. They're all bloody bumpkins to me anyway.

Well upon Rossy's prodding, I finally checked out Dark City.  Stayed up way too long through Art and Hoagie, and then listened to the Nick Redfern interview.  I always enjoy him.  Endorphins kicked in and I made the effort to catch Tyler Rogoway afterwards but I hit the wall.  Radio overdose.  :P  These shows are so addictive.  I really enjoy Dark City so far.  Kudos Bateman!  8)  I am now a fan.  :D

That is why I find it funny when people make fun of Americans different accents, which generally are based on region. Over there, in such a small country, you have so many accents-  not just regional- even in the same city, depending on wealth/education, ethnicity, trade, etc.

The latest episode is great, that MIB stuff is just plain creepy.  I'll be taking an extra glance at any short, pale skinned people wearing sunglasses from now on.

SaucyRossy

this needs a bump....when people get done listening to Nick on tonight's other side, if you haven't heard him on with Steve yet, LISTEN to it....it's great

Lights going on when I wasn't expecting them to? No, but the last time was many years ago when some girl's pesky parents did it.

Hands up, don't shoot.  ;)

AGREEEEEED! *bump* *bump* *bump* :D
I love this episode.  I am listening to it a second time right now (while at work).  And RCH interview with Nick was interesting and good also.

PrairieGhost

It was a great show. You need to have Nick back for sure. More black eyed children please!  8)

Once again, biggest month ever. Well into 5 digit downloads for August.

And thanks to those who donated - one person said it's like tipping your favorite bartender. So yeah, thanks.

Congrats Bateman! I'm sure it'll just keep getting bigger. You deserve it!

Frankly, I'm still surprised, but I'll take it.

Humble....

You're alright!

bateman

If you play your cards right.

I just had stickers printed up, but I'm not crazy about the quality. Thankfully it was only 25. I'll get another batch printed up and we'll see if they're better. If not, I'll just stick them all over the subway. PM me if you want one (for free).

And finally, t-shirts. Thinking about this for the first run.

Are you going for edgy or "meh"...this subject matter is not "meh"...have the city view scream CREEPY...that view screams Soviet Bloc.... 8)

A couple people on Twitter just said it was too plain as well. Hmmm.

Well you are open to suggestion! that is a good start...didn't go all Michael Horn! NX can do it up! I met up with him, Aldous and Eddie at the Rush concert in Phoenix! He's the real deal! Had a posse with him! Very interesting artisans!

Yes, your show is so awesome and the pic is very generic. Can you do something like this:

or this?

Oh there's a million different beautiful pictures I could use, I just worry about how well they'll print.
