I agree with Bateman, she embarrassed herself. Keith, Art, and Heather all act like 10 year olds.

Totally agree. Please no more Gravity Sucks and starrmtn as hosts.   Let's be serious the audience wanted to see a fight and these two clowns were trying to shut it down. If they can't see that then they shouldn't be hosting. Also they both pretty much suck. One of them should check out their breathing problems. Themudking was a great moderator and I agree that Showroom Dummy should have his own show. Great voice.

It's really easy to be a cohost. Just volunteer in the GabCast thread when they announce the next show. Give it a shot. All you need is a good internet connection, skype and preferably a headset microphone.

What's amazing to me is that Heather never asked for any of this.  Art asked her to produce, she did a great job. She's obviously a huge fan of Art's and understands the show and Art recognized that.   Art asked her to take over, and I think she's doing a great job, especially considering that she really has no previous broadcast experience except for a few podcasts.  But it's apparent to me in light of recent events and upon listening to the last gabcast that there were a lot of people that she counted as friends who turned out to be pretty damn unfriendly.  It's really a mess.  And it's a mess that Heather didn't ask for, she's just doing what was asked of her.  I'm astounded at people's willingness to jump her shit and say that she's awful and to make unsavory allegations.  Fuck all of this

I hear you. Unfortunately, a lot of useless eaters have access to the Internet. It's real easy to criticize when you have a free, anonymous account. Maybe MV should charge $1 per month payable only through PayPal. If you're going to take pleasure in being a dickwad, you should be more than willing to pay $1 per month for that pleasure.

This, so much this. It's a lot of bitching for something that is essentially a free entertainment product. "but, but, I paid $5 a month..." Look at how much useless shit a person purchases day in, day out. $2 to $4 for a coffee how many times a week? How many cases of soda a month...$12 for a six pack of import beer if you're fancy or a 30 pack if you like the buzz...the 10 packs of smokes you go through in a week...it's $5, big deal. You would have wasted it somewhere else along the way.

When Heather was called out for trolling Noory and they compared it to people talking shit about Art, she switched it around and her response confused me so much that I forgot what her response actually was. She didn't even answer the question really. This gabcast confused me. Now I'm exhausted.

Yeah the whole gabcast was basically heather making a chewbacca defense for 30 minutes or so and everyone being too polite to call her out on it, or getting banned for doing so.

Heather didn't sound genuine when referencing her interactions with Bateman.. 
Calling someone to "rattle their cage" and then saying that she was "just having fun"  is a lot different than people typing their opinion on an internet forum. It's best to just be honest with your feelings/thoughts.  At least she did apologize towards the end of the Gabcast. I give her credit for that.

Heather mentions a few times that people should "do their worse", and "let her have it" (so far as peoples opinions/trolling) and that it "doesn't bother her".  Yet she questions "if she has any friends left ", perhaps the distinction between friends and acquaintance  has been blurred.  The opinions of my friends are important to me, the opinions of acquaintances, not so much.  It's human nature to be liked and accepted, but you'll make yourself go mad, trying to please anonymous people who may very well enjoy watching someone twist in the breeze..

It sounds like Art still has much control and input over the show. Its no wonder she isn't "making it her own" even though she states the show remains the same "out of respect for Art".

Heather was put in a very difficult position, host, or don't host. At least if she hosts, she has a job through the holiday season.  But not only does she host, she produces the show as well.  I think that it would be better for her if she didn't read any social media relating to the show.
It's an act of futility to do this show and expect people to be happy, no matter how hard she tries.
Unless Art Bell is in that seat, it will never be right, no matter what she does


I keep hearing that Heather is keeping the seat warm for Art for when he comes back.  I don't see a scenario that would enable Art to return.  If someone cant, for a few hours, be a few hundred feet from their own family to do a show, how do you overcome that?  Even if there was an arrest, that person would be out in days or even hours.


Overall a good Gabcast, I missed MV, there were a couple times where TMK asked for clarification that interrupted the flow of convo from the caller/guest.  At times it seemed as if there were too many hosts/callers at once.   I'm surprised at the level of interest I have in the Gabcast.

I'm looking forward to the next Gabcast and also the next Bellphiles(glad it was plugged so I don't miss it).
