From the wrestling forum where we used to talk Art Bell, there are still three people I know from there subbing for Art with the hopes he comes back. With that in mind, how many of the current subs do you think are hanging on for Art's return? Half?

Must make a person at least feel a little guilty for cashing inflated checks based on being strung along with no payoff in sight.

What is it that grown men find so appealing about wrestling?  I just find it odd why someone would watch guys fight in scripted wrestling matches. Seems weird. Is there something fun about it that I fail to see? let me know.

I haven't watched the modern "wrestling" in forever but sometimes get down the youtube wormhole, usually when a great wrassler dies, and watch matches from the past I saw as a kid. But short answer same reason people read a book, watch a movie, watch a sport, or watch tv. Entertainment. And, at least in the days, it was a simple modern mythology, in a way. Good vs Evil, Poor vs Rich, Underdog vs Champion, etc. I don't think (or hope) anyone bets on it and doubt many think it is true (though it is tough and takes a toll on the wrestlers.) Actually I find the real wrestling a little more creepy (young boys or men in singlets groping each other...before I'm flamed I know it is a tough, legit sport!)

Very one of the toughest because it is all in, evenly matched. Also because you get into that weird shit that normally HS girls deal with (weight issues.) I recall friends taking Ex-Lax, not drinking, dipping Cope or sucking on lozenges and spitting and no drinking (even in class,) running inside the hallways after school with what would look like Startrak suits, etc to make a weight. I always thought it was nuts though. Sat next to a dude in chemistry who was just constantly spitting, ugh, and smelled from whatever body process is likely seeking nourishment from their own body.
Having said that...I still find it a bit creepy for adults to watch wrestling if they don't have a kid in it and those who are into it too much. I know, that is wrong, but still.
