You sure are brave Art.

Fidget, hate to say it, but you have the Captain Ahab/White Whale thing going on. Nothing can be gained from what you're doing here.

I respectfully disagree. Don't you think if Art could defend his position, he would? Let me get this straight... his family, he'll defend... Heather, he'll defend... the stalker thing, he'll defend... the what happened to his kids thing, he'll defend... DRMN, he'll defend... horrible emotionally tense stuff, he steps right up.

But that little bike chain gizmo thing, and the aftermath of his public blacklisting of it's inventor is off the table? You are an author, ostensibly... so you understand the power of the press... ostensibly.

It comes with responsibility, and in my case Art shirked it. He screwed me, and his listeners... and even more ostensibly, yourself.

Got kids? How is their eye hand coordination? Would you like it if it was 30% better? Bet you would, and when I have parents tell me how much it has helped their kids, my anger at Mr. Bell increases... because he did not wield his power responsibly.

What harm can come to Art by having a dialogue?

The answer should be none, but if that was true he would have done it years ago.

Fidget, that was 20 years ago man. You should have cut your losses long ago and came up with a reformed business plan to sell the fidgets if that was your aim. The internet blossomed in front of you in the late 90's, you could have pursued Ebay at a time where a turd could be sold there for $40, much less neat little fidgets. You could have taken advantage of the e-commerce free-for-all that the late 90's were and sold your product. You didn't. It's still possible for you to do that, you could be hammering away at social media to sell fidgets, yet you're here, all pissy about the long ago past trying to get the attention of a broadcaster that is well past his prime by anyone's account as far as commanding an audience. That isn't constructive.

Art Bell is not your future Fidget. You need to figure out what your future is.

Why does your entire empire rest on one radio wooster? So Art Bell isn't interested in whatever you're talking about. It seems kind of a waste of time to chase him for years rather than find other outlets for your... whatever you're talking about.

How nice of you to champion Mr. Bell. I'll not be bringing up the white knight elements of your bellgabian journey, but make no mistake... they are noted. Is Mr. Bell so fragile and embattled he can't speak for himself? No.
Your thoughts about building a business are novel, however in business one looks to the past to predict the future... so... I have two choices 1) gloss over (as you are doing) the role Mr. Bell played in firmly preventing me from sharing the truth when it became available, or 2) disregard it entirely... and go on like it did not happen. I don't (contrary to popular belief here) live in a fantasy land, so option 2 is off the table... for me.

I don't think you really understand the stigma that comes from such a public blacklisting, I do.

Call me crazy, but I think when Art asked me "Why would they write 1970" on my tickets, he was "in the zone" of what I was dealing with. I think when one guy (in this case me, but really any guy) proves a legal conspiracy, especially when predicted/eluded to on hundreds of stations in simulcast... it is news. When the Chief of Police reverses his initial assessment to side with a unanimous Citizens Police Review Board report.. it's news. I think when an individual sues a multi-million dollar company as his own attorney, and they settle before depositions... it's news.

Where is your coverage?
Blacklisted.
Have a good swim, hope ya' catch some big fish!

No they aren't, that's how you do it. The world consists of billions of people Fidget, at his height only a few million listened to Art. You need to be targeting the world at large, and out of those few million that listened to Art very few even remember your interview. Get your ass out there and sell fidgets. Fuck Art. Learn how to market that shit yourself. You want your shit to work, wallowing in the past isn't going to cut it.

Why are you mulling over that shit after this much time? I mean, none of it makes a lot of sense to me to begin with, so I'm left asking why the hell you're mucking around with this still. Get your ass to work selling fidgets. Like now.

Value Of Pi

This may be a slow news day, but there are still more important things to talk about. Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane died. That's a loss. There's hardly anyone making musical revolutions these days the way people like Kantner did in the sixties.

Ween! Those guys are from my area.

This stuff is fascinating and I had no idea all this was going on. I never listened to Bella-Haven or Haogland's show and missed out big time.
BH was actually pretty damn good for the short run it had.  I was always surprised how many people from here it drew (and the variety.)  Hell, until near then end it seemed that almost everybody could get along for a couple of hours...

And then- well, not so much...

Humpty dumpty, huh? The figure was 15 million when I was on, and when he blacklisted me. Biggest late night talk radio thing going.

I know you mean well, and I know (given a reasonable chance) I can explain it in a manner in which it can be understood. The fact that Art can't be bothered to invest the time and energy to even hear/see what happened ever since... deplorable  I did not start out a twenty year beef, Art's ostrichness is what got it this far. A mark of shame, it is.

It's really quite a story.

It is relevant to more than you know.

You'll see.

I'm going to have to agree with the dolphin on this one.  I can't see what Art has to gain by engaging you (I realize that you will answer "self respect" or the likes- but that is not going to get him posting the pages of arguments that it will take if he opens that can of worms.)

You may be 100% right (I really have not followed any of it as I don't have the time in my life).  However, the fact is that Sci-Fi is also 100% correct in his evaluation.  Set up an ebay account, set up an Amazon account, put up a website.  Hell, PM somebody here and ask for advice (if you look at the push to bring Bell back, you will realize that there are some very smart, creative people who are good at marketing.)

I get that you feel like you were wronged back when- but Art will be 90 and probably still not give you whatever you are looking for.  You may have to figure out how to go forward without that...

What?

You were a kooky guest at a time when Art was cycling through as many ten in a week. Why does he owe you anything? What are you talking about? This guy gave you air time, it's your own fault if you can't follow up on it.

Heck, I've been reading your posts on here for a very long time and I still have no idea what you're talking about. That's with an entire background of knowledge as a BG/AB fan. Think of how people who don't have that knowledge must think.

In a few sentences that don't involve Art Bell, what have you created? What does it do? What do you want?

Radio audiences are counted cumulatively for a week.  15 million is 3 million per night for 5 nights.

Anyone tuning in for even a segment or two is counted.  Someone tuning in for 5 minutes is counted.  Art probably had a good portion of fans who would listen to the entire show, but on any given night most didn't.

Of the people that did hear your call, how many are still around, are in the market for a fidget, or even remember the call?  All these years later, it's low thousands at most.  It was never 15 million.  I've met exactly one person who knew who Art Bell is, and that person thought he was still hosting the show long after Noory took over.

NO.

I'm gonna push ahead here for a minute or two, then get on with the future. Last year I made B of A patch all of their atms to obscure email addresses. I did it in person, on the phone, radio, and social media. I could have used the hole to hack, but I am not a hacker. I could get a steak knife and a bench grinder... make a torsion tool, and half-rake... the principal locksmith tools... and blow right through 90% of door locks in America... but I don't/haven't. I could put together a phony company and exploit capitalism any of a myriad of ways. I was an NASD licenced broker, I know how the game works. I was an extra in Mork and Mindy, have produced and hosted my own TV show, had my art in the first three minutes of a holiday Disney movie, have been H2S certified for access to oil & gas well sites in Texas, student council, junior achievement, peer counseling, library aid, and caddie.

I don't need Bellgab, and I don't need Art.

I just wanted the people to know the truth of what happened. It's a long sad story I have to tell to be accurate about my history.

Dude, call into the GabCast. I'm genuinely curious now.
