Haha, ban him and his IP instead. Or, heh, put him on ignore! Art always styled himself a staunch defender of free speech, too. It's a damn shame to see it all was bloviated crap. The way things are going in the U.S., it'll probably change, but the internet would be a vastly different space if every website operator could be successfully sued for libel.

I remember the thread, but much of it seemed tongue-in-cheek.  That's why I added "seriously" in my previous post.  Would be great to revamp the boards/topics with the name change, do away with "his" boards and relegate him to a single, unmoderated one titled "Art Bell/Other Has Beens".

It's possible but it's just as possible that the explanation is just a number of personal and environmental factors (chiefly. the social media phenomenon) all combining and coming to a head.

This may be the most disturbing thing I have ever read on BellGab.

I agree Etouffee. Absolutely over the edge. Taking myself off the 22 year roller coaster "Ride. Done and done. Thought I might hang on to support Time Travelers to see if Art would make his way back. This threat from Art toward MV is a slap in the face to all of us that have supported Art for Decades! Art should know that his greatest support came from 95% of the people on this board. It's effing sickening to my core.
