I did not say I was Retiring did I? I said I was going off the air because of this increasing problem with a Stalker. If some time can pass without incident I would be happy to do a random show. The big problem with this has been I had a fixed routine making it way to easy for this fool.

I think what I was trying to express is I did not want to stop doing the show I love but rather had to given the current situation, not a important difference I guess but Retire to me means a personal desire to be done which was not the case.

Art & Gabbers alike, I think I've just figured out two (count them, TWO) options to get Art back.:
1) More Stalkers.  Wait, here me out on this:  This is Carlin-esque thinking. You get more stalkers, and then like ally cats, they will fight for the turf... the coveted blind spot on the lawn.  They will then raise a raucous and then after one kills the other, NCSO can shoot the victor in the head.  Eventually this will lead to a Art Bell stalker fight-club.

2) Art comes on every night, and at the end he could announce a false retirement. "Alright everyone. I'm quitting. This time for good.  See you tomorrow."

I think what Art should do is take the 2 weeks off for the holidays, get his battle plan, and set an example for Asia that they WILL NOT succumb to threats.  Yes, the trauma for kids can be tough, but teaching a child to just do whatever the armed man says is NOT the best philosophy.  I would rather have my kid be instilled with an "Awe HELL naw." mentality with dealing with whackos.

I've taken to calling this guy "The Spook", because whomever this is must be getting his sick jolly's by spooking the spookiest radio personality.  This doesn't mean he's a government or corporate spook, just someone who's really sick and needs to be put down like a dog that's biting children.

I won't list all the ways you could trap this guy, because odds are he's a lurker here even if he doesn't ever post he surely has found the sanctuary that is BellGab, and MV's sweet bosom, but some motion sensors tied to triggering bear mace come to mind.

My husband cancelled the moment he got the email.  I don't think it's worth resubscribing for a month. 

Art cannot 'sub' as host every now and again.  It's a three hour show, for goodness' sake.  The nut could hear him on the air and await outside the guest house for Art to leave at night.

All listeners can hope for is an occasional surprise call and that's not really enough. 

It would have been nice if this move had been planned out properly and things done methodically and with planning. 

If the cops are not pursuing this, the lurker will not be caught, so the only 'hope' is that Art will move and feel safer elsewhere.  He has so much invested right where he is, that I doubt that will happen. 

All in all, I hope Keith had enough forethought to save Time Traveler email addresses, just in case this situation, by some miracle, reverses itself.  Is that too much to hope for?
