There's been talk of people wanting an app for the new show. My question is how easy would it be to add the ability to call the show from the app? Simply using internet traffic instead of cell service?

I know there was a Skype line for DM, and if that's the answer it's fine. I'm just one of many who despises Skype. (Not the principle of it, just the execution of it.)

Skype is the best tool out there, with great audio quality to boot.   I find it very easy to execute.  Plus it is backed by years of development and experience.   

As far as adding the ability to call the show from an app?  (From my point of view being an app developer.) The easiest way to do this would be to have your phone dial the number after pushing the button.  Or your phone could automatically open Skype and go that route.  To do it any other way would require a VOIP component built in which means more effort, infrastructure and money out the window.

Radio would be nice though. Would probably help get more exposure and more callers. There are few live call in  podcast shows because it is really hard to get callers.

I refuse to get excited about radio broadcast of Midnight in the Desert -- yet. That said, Art Bell is the one person who worked me through all the technology changes during his years of broadcast. His early discussions of dial up Internet service are memorable. When he got the latest version of Windows and said how hard it was to learn, I listened and figured that if Art could learn it, I could, too.  When the Sirius broadcast became available for Art's return it had problems Art publicly acknowledged -- like cutting off after 2 hours or no access to Sirius with a message that the server was too busy. I didn't like it, but I hung in there and made it work because I wanted to hear the show Live. Whatever happens in late July or early August is going to be BIG. I am sure of that.

Yes.  If we were lucky, someone would show up with a nice, huge section of cardboard to lay down, and everyone would take turn break dancing.  Then, we'd head out to a drive-in to see Gremlins.  It was awesome.

I don't believe 9/11 would have happened without any help from the inside.
Dave would say: "There are no coincidences, but on 9/11 there were a thousand."
Also, I would not completely rule out Alex Jones being a business partner of Art Bell. I know Art doesn't like him, but business is business, and until Art reveals who the "big player" is, it's still a probability. Considering all Art said about what he needs, Alex Jones is the only player that I know who already has all these things and could share them. (bumpermusic-contracts, free streaming, paywall option, radio presence)

Vikings is a great TV show. I love it.

+1 for Vikings . It's one of the few shows I follow & I don't watch it on TV. I also heard about it online first. Internet has pretty much replaced traditional TV+Radio for me.
