Last night at the end of the show (going on 3 a.m. my time) when Noory does his thanks or whatever he is doing, he mentioned a couple of names that I've never heard before and did leave Art's name out!

Let's hope it was a start at complying with Art's request.  If so, great.  Time will tell.

Art sold the show, end of story. Art got out of talk radio. What the hell did he think would happen? If he was that worried about legacy, he should have kept the show or at least the show name.

My, hasn't the mood on this forum certainly improved from a week ago.  How soon till it plummets again?

Let's just be honest and realistic.  Art is a great radio broadcaster - I think the greatest ever. He is also 69, and has back issues and a life outside of "us."  But he is honest in wanting to come back on the air, loves to ride the airwaves, and has a proven record of top performance far and away surpassing mercurial events that kept him off the air from time to time.  He is human, like all of us (well, make that all but a few of us).  We should just enjoy anything Art can give us, and hope it is more as opposed to less.  And do our best as a group to see that it is more.

This forum and the people in it help to invigorate Art, and we should take that role seriously.  Those of you who agree, come up with good ideas - I have already seen a host of them, and we know Art reads them. All.  With Sirius Radio and Dark Matter I, there were absolutely fantastic promos made, publicizing done by many of us, etc., and we need to do it all again.

If this doesnt last as long as we like, so be it.  For me that will undoubtedly be true, for I want Art on the air till his dying breath....and hope his life can be extended indefinitely.  But, barring that, I am going to do my best to make sure this lasts as long as it possibly can.  I hope all of you to do the same.

i'm not necessarily sure they stole it so much as it was a matter of inertia and just keeping the show sounding like the show.  however, i agree... i'd like to hear art using the chase again.

I haven't listened to even 1 minute of the Snorge for a very long time.  I listened to the intro of the other night's show on YouTube, hoping to hear what he had said about Art's return.

I'm pretty sure he said 'near' the Pacific Ocean that night.  No idea if that's now his new intro or if he adlibbed and misspoke.. aw, who cares

Oh wait he can't, he sold Coast to Coast AM to PremRat long ago.
I'm sure Art wants to distance himself from the C2C brand.
Like it or not The Chase is part of the C2C brand now.
Let go of the old and embrace the new and improved Art Bell.

I'd be just as thrilled if he had little Asia Bell tooting a recorder and banging a pot with a wooden spoon as his intro music.

About the solid gold video -  I've never ever seen that before either. During the 80's I heard the song because it was played a lot, but I've never seen the Matthew Wilder - Break My Stride (Solid Gold) video either or even knew that it exist.

Not sure if being buried on i heart media and occasional weekend host of c2c is a bigger gig. They seem to add more and more weekend host so he really isn't going to be hosting more then a handful of days over the course of a year. Unless he gets the full time weekend host gig which seems unlikely.

He did add some depech mode/ the cure songs. Other than that, most of the bumper music is Art's .
