I was thinking of how cool it would be for Art to have that as his intro for the opening of his 1st show. Especialy since he'll be catching up with old guests. Although, I am dying to hear his new intro music so we would have to wait an extra day?   :P

Haha as cool as that would be I have a feeling Art has some amazing music picked out and I'm ready for that.

George knows very little about the world around him, and isn't really interested.

He is dimly aware there are things he doesn't know that listeners think he should, but he can't differentiate those from the things most people wouldn't expect him to be familiar with.

So he pretends to know all of it.  And moves on quickly.

I wish Howard Cosell was still alive so we could hear him yell "DOWN GOES NOORY, DOWN GOES NOORY." Just a matter of time Snorty. You are toast.

Got my Sirius up and running and enjoying the new toy right now. Stern + Bell is a great ticket for my money.

And here it is! The fourth trailer with a....world exclusive at the end!

http://artbell.com/ross-howards-video-promo-4/

All the trailers to date have been awesome but this one takes the cake!

I'm not sure which shows you sampled but it would have made it perfect (and only noticeable to probably no one) if the shows that were sampled were in some chronological order like it would be in real life if you were traveling towards earth hearing shows from the early 90s until now.

Art's show was great when you could go onto the web and see the images that were being referenced on the show.

I believe Art was the first to use the web and radio in this way.
Yes, Art was the first to link talk radio and the internet in this way.  It was genius.  He also worked with the folks who gave us internet video streaming and was the first to stream video of his show.  Talk radio has a lot to thank Art for.

Thank you Ross! This was fantastic. The ending with Art Bell giving the new intro gave me chills.
I hope you are feeling better and your medical problems are soon resolved. Thank you again.

That's EXACTLY what I did. The first clip you hear is from the 1992 episode with John Lear, then 92 with al Bielek, then it picks up as it goes along ending with 1999.
I figured some of the major fans could pick out what episodes the clips are from. I was going to put a year counter at the bottom of the video but figured that would be distracting. I wanted people to get transfixed by the images and audio and pullsd in

Thanks!

I have to publicly thank Art, Paul, and Keith. At the last minute I made a major request and as you can hear at the end of the trailer, Art came through and delivered a really special treat for everyone, one last reason to be excited for Monday.

I missed the part about the "World Exclusive" and was wondering how you got Art's Voice to say 'Dark Matter'. I figured it must have been cut and pasted somehow. Soooo cool that he did that for you.

On another note: I"M SOOO EXCITED FOR MONDAY! I can't believe Art is coming back!!!!

SaucyRossy

And I'll say thank you to everyone that's said such nice things about the trailer.

I was a bit worried it wouldn't be received as well because in the previous three trailers I used music so heavily to drive emotion, this one I went very minimalist and just let Arts shows speak for themselves (with some tricky sound editing), and hoped it would build tension to the end of the video.

I think the 4th trailer is the best one yet Ross. And since they have all been outstanding, that is really saying something.
Knowing what you are going through and yet you put this together--it makes it even more precious.
With Art Bell at the end, it is like a gift to all of us long-suffering Bellgabbers who have been on this forum for years.
You are very talented and we love you for being here. Be well dear friend.

Commencing countdown Major Tom....ten, nine, eight, seven,,,,,,,

I would LOVE to find that as a desktop background...

My Acer Laptop gives me the "set as desktop background" option when I right-click on your picture.  If you don't have that option then right-click and look for the "save image as" option.  Once you save the image, you can then set it as your desktop background through your control panel.

I think GN should not be named in this thread. I'm tired of talking about he who must not be named. This should be Arts thread now.

I also think this forum is going to get a lot more users in the comming months

That would be a godsend. I've missed stimulating conversation.

I just tested the free 30day no credit card Sirius trial registration running the Sirius player app on my desktop PC and netbook PC (thru my network router) and they were both able to play Sirius at the same time, even tune to different channels!
I heard before that the Sirius internet package only allowed one device to log in at the same time, but I didn't have a problem logging in with the same id+password on two different devices on the same network. Maybe the limitation only applies to devices on different networks, not on the same wifi or wired ethernet router sharing the same cable internet connection?

Im here to tell you all that Mr  Art Bell is awesome and he is the anti-George Noory.

IcicleTrepan

I see from Reed's website that he's still using the fake name and hocking the same videos and images.  I don't know how he can even bring himself to use the fake name when he was outed.  I know his story is entertaining but I hope Art takes him to task a bit.

Hey again guys,

I have an update re: Don Zaidle:

I got an email from Don today that he has sent his contact information to Paul Bowman, so the ball is in Paul/Art's court now :)  I hope he can get back on!

Found this from the c2cam website past guest list:

Don Zaidle
Books:    American Man-Killers

Biography:
Don Zaidle was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. From the time he was "knee-high to a grasshopper," his interest in wildlife was intense. Despite a patchwork career that includes stints as a private investigator, attack dog trainer, soldier, oil field roughneck, radio talk-show host and electronics engineer, his passion has always remained with the outdoors. So he parlayed this passion into a profession and became an outdoor writer.

As a writer and naturalist, Mr. Zaidle developed over the years a keen interest in what he calls "the macabre and esoteric nature of nature." It came, therefore, as no surprise that his first major work of nonfiction, American Man Killers would be the result of his interest in the macabre, and would combine his years of observation and his lifelong interests.

Don't think I've heard of Don Zaidle?

He did a show with Art on 1998-05-28 about various animal attacks on humans by bear, deer, dogs, it was pretty graphic and very entertaining.  It's one of my favourite shows.  Give it a listen if you get a chance and you're into that sort of thing.
