no. my apologies. I just thought Art wants to make a (paranormal) talk radio show, not become an investor or buy a company, but maybe I'm just too shortsighted.

No apologies are necessary. Art does want to make - "the best" radio talk show that he can make. My suggestions do not sublimate that purpose or intent. I, like some other of Art's listeners/fans, throw out random ideas to Art so that he can ruminate over "other" possible scenarios that he may not have yet considered. He used to throw that idea out to his listeners/fans from time to time. He would ask his listeners/fans to vote on guests, or to come up with a topic/subject for one of his telephone lines. Once he would hear an interesting subject/topic that he wanted to have discussions about; he would restrict/designate one of his phone lines exclusively to that subject/topic, and have his listeners/fans call in on that restricted/designated phone line about the chosen subject/topic that Art would choose from the many suggestions called in to him.

Maybe it's just the pessimist in me but I fail to see any good news in this post.

The sticking point is the music. Well either the music can be used or it can't. If this is a sticking point in the negotiations then that can't be good news.

The only good news so far is that our hopes can still be up that this will be worked out by the end of the week. Or not.

I hope it's resolved and that this big player isn't the only player/option out there.

Is Keith negotiating this?

falkie... if you're going to post images, use the [img] tag or don't post images at all.  there's no need for you to attach two random and useless images at the end of every post you submit.  you used to attach far more than two images at the end of each post until i lowered the limit, so i'm guessing if you could do 30, you would.  i've asked you multiple times now NOT TO DO THIS.  these images take up space on the server and then get included in weekly backups of the forum which is already a huge amount of data every week.  i'm now going to go delete every attachment you've ever submitted ever ever.

No news yet. The deal is actively being worked on by both sides, I will let you all know the moment we have a deal because until that time THOSE PEOPLE would screw with it. For all I know they have already tried to steal Falkie away for their bumpers.

I thought the big player might have been Live365, but here's a rough breakdown of music costs:

Check the listener hours maximum (5000) and then add the cost per additional hour at .05 per hour/listener. 10,000 listeners x 3 hours x 22 days = 660,000 listener hours - 5000 = 655,000 x .05 = $32,750 + $199 = $32,949 per MONTH.

And wait until it goes to 20,000 listeners?
