Noory's plans for tonight's c2cam extravaganza: :D

Alien Abduction & Brown Mountain Lights
Fri 04-11
For decades, alien abduction has been reported around Brown Mountain in Burke County, North Carolina. Now the phenomenon is dramatized in the new film, ALIEN ABDUCTION, produced by Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction) and Mike Fleiss (Hostel) and directed by Matty Beckerman. In the first half of tonight's show, Beckerman will join us to discuss how real events were tied into the film, and Joshua P. Warren will explain the true, paranormal backstory, and the role he played in the film. Followed by Open Lines.

I can't decide if if I should listen to this or alphabetize my Family Circus clippings collection.

Jorch's logic:

I get along just fine w/o reading my guests' books so why bother with the cooking instructions for these pizza rolls.

I thought Brown Mountain was the place where a phantom light is frequently spotted moving in the woods? It is thought by some to be a ghost carrying a lantern on the mountain side and has been seen for a century (I think?). Is this the same place? Aliens could carry lanterns, I guess, although the light would be hard on those big eyes.

Cherokee Indians were familiar with these lights as far back as the year 1200. According to Indian legend, a great battle was fought that year between the Cherokee and Catawba Indians near Brown Mountain. The Cherokees believed that the lights were the spirits of Indian maidens who went on searching through the centuries for their husbands and sweethearts who had died in the battle.

The Brown Mountain lights are real, unlike most things on C2C.
I was lucky enough to see them a few times.

Birdie

Thanks! I must be thinking of somewhere else, because it was only one light, moving slowly. It is surprising they haven't been able to figure out what causes these lights.
Some how, I don't think we will get unbiased, science-backed info about this phenomenon from Joshua P. Warren. But it will be fun (I hope).
Edit: that is cool you got to see them!

A facepalm right out of the gate as Jorchie accidentally throws out the term "blue moon" when referring to the "blood moon" coming this week. Blue...blood...meh, what's the difference right?  :o

Reminds me of a Monty Python joke where a BBC announcer is giving pointers to a newbie:

"Now remember your announcers training: deep breaths, and try not to think about what you're saying."  ::)

"Science-fiction thriller"  ... oops, giveaway there .. but quick to point out it's .... "based on reality."

Pumpkin-man, Dog-man .... aren't these cryptids ever females?

Birdie

Just looked at the photos on his blog. Look like lens flares and maybe a stray hair from the photographer blowing into frame. There is a mist, but I don't see the obvious face in the mist, as noted in the caption.

Hey, that's my new avatar: Jorch secretly loves Robert the doll

Birdie

Ok. I am now officially creeped the fuck out by Robert the doll. I had heard of him before, but not the entire story. The idea of seeing the doll's shadow running around in an empty room gives me the willies. Dolls and clowns. *shudder*

That being the case, UFQuacks avatar should send you screaming from the room.
It's got Robert the doll and a clown in it.

People's astral bodies are getting abducted too.  A tinfoil hat is not enough protection, better sleep in one of those shiny sleeping bags.

Just tuned in to hear Jorch mouth a lot of platitudes about people being at a breaking point and sumpin's goin on. He just crystallized every reason why I can't listen to the hot mess he delivers night after night. No analysis, no attempt to explain the situation in Nevada, just jumping on the usual emotional response bandwagon, agreeing with every lunatic theory from his callers and foreseeing uprisings all over the US because sumpin's goin on. Yep, something's happening but you don't know what it is, do you Mr. Noory?

You hand in your ticket
And you go watch the geek
Who immediately walks up to you
When he hears you speak
And says, "How does it feel
To be such a freak ?"
And you say, "Impossible"
As he hands you a bone.

And something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones ?

Joshua P. Warren is kicking himself, for not selling a phone app for astral protection.  ::)

and........we were back to the PIZZA ROLL DEBACLE again last night......really, George?  Really?   ???

It's a pretty safe bet that "Marvin" was really Gary Leggiere, "The Mad Martian." If so, he's got about as much chance of C2C telling his story as Mike Bara does of getting Angelina Jolie's panties off.

What creeps me out is thinking about Noory chasing Robert the doll around a room.

What happened to the abduction movie guy? I tuned in for Hour 2 to hear him but I get Dopey asking Simone about that stupid ass doll on Key West for the hundredth time.

And WTF is it with Noory's night in Boise?  It's a joke how he now mentions it so often. I'd think maybe he got laid there, but this is Geo. Noory I'm talking about.

Robert the Doll has his own Twitter account.
I would love to go to The Florida keys, mostly to see the Hemingway cats.

Ha, Jorch's big night in Boise.  "The Night the Lights Went Out in Idaho?"  Nah, "The Night Jorch Drove Old Boise Down."

Jane

This may not be the right section to place this but I just listened to a John Wells interview on Red Ice Creation. He spoke about his firing and gave as reason #2 for his leaving was his high number of listeners. He stated that on average George Noory has a total listenership of 275,000. John said his listeners totaled 750,000 to 1.2 million on his one night. He stated that sometimes his one night total was greater than Noory's  weekly total. George must have gotten jealous. If I were a corporation I would keep the host who brought in the most listeners.

And as always - George Noory Sucks

Have no doubt that PRN's in radio for profit.  Wells is, as always, full of crap.

The last time in Key West there seemed to be more chickens on Duval Street than cats, but the transvestites outnumbered both of them combined...needless to say it was a very short stay.  Not that I have anything bad to say about anybody--oh that's not true.

Sounds like a good time.

Someone should transfer the spirit within Robert the doll into Gnoory and Gnoory's whatever into the doll. #FREAKYFRIDAY  8)

My local AM station runs promos for C2C. But uses John B Wells segments as the advertising promos. Even just today after his being fired for a few months.
