Hey, SciFi.  I'm about worn out on the entire sorry saga of the past few weeks, at least for now.   As I understand it, though, PremRat had been working with Sirius for awhile to get C2C back on Sirius.  Was this common knowledge?  Even still, there was no guarantee C2C was going to resurface on Sirius.  At what point was this a done deal?  Before or after Art left?   Did Art know about it or find out about it at some point during the epic six week tenure of Dark Matter?   

Art had just spent part of the first Dark Matter show detailing his issues with Premier and then there's been the ongoing soap opera of events between Art and Noory for the past several months.  I have a hard time believing Art was going to be thrilled about potentially serving as a lead-in for C2C on Sirius.  Assuming streaming was the main issue, can you imagine Art being happy with such an arrangement on Sirius?  I'm thinking he would have left anyway, no matter when he found out about it. 

Anyway, enough of the Colombo recreation.  The /b/ site just about fried my brain last night when I inadvertently wondered into that "pleasure palace," so I'll save us all the porpoise porn. 

Yeah, I just want a freaking good radio show. One gets sent to the cornfield, the other degrades and TMZ marches triumphantly on.

I think it puts it in a different boat. The original assertion that was going around that Premiere cooked the whole thing up to get rid of Dark Matter doesn't hold up to scrutiny simply because Art quit for the reasons he stated. Noory wasn't sitting there thinking "Hmm, if we crank down the quality of the stream, it will drive Art nuts and he'll quit!".

I don't know if he would have left or not over C2C coming on after him, only he can say. I would think it almost certain that he would have had a problem with losing his fourth hour due to the overlap, if that's how it would have been worked out. I'd have been angry about that.

But Art's adamant that Dark Matter wasn't viable, which seems to me to suggest that it was going away no matter what. As unpleasant as the thought is, they might also have been preparing for that eventuality.

I think I'll (attempt to) listen tonight, if only to hear Noory's interview with Oberon. That man can tell stories for days if you let him and has massive quantities of tangents that he will quite willingly go talk about, so Noory will have many opportunities to make it interesting.

If he succeeds in making Oberon dull, he will have firmly moved me from the "Noory kinda sucks" column into the "Dave $noory Sucks" column.

I mean, really... He says that quantum mechanics are starting to show parallels in rules to the rules of magick and Noory asks how long it has been like that?

Answer: Three years. My friends and I thought physics was too far removed from magick and we decided to change the laws on a whim. We do stuff like that. Thats why pigs fly now, because we changed the laws of aerodynamics to include curly tails as valid shapes to generate lift in low velocities.

That picture with George and Tommy riding in the car at the parade. I know it was posted a long time ago. Although just seeing it again reminds me. It just looks so out of place and cheezy / sleezy. I think it is just weird. It seems just wrong. I don't know why. Maybe because it seems fake? However I don't think that's why. I just can't put a finger on it. I know old cars I guess. That could be why. That car is nothing special. However I think it is a lot more than that. Just the whole situation seems really cheezy. I am not trying to be mean. It just really is odd and out of place. Seems strange. Of course the piece of paper taped on the side didn't help the situation either. But that's not it either. I just can't place what makes that picture and situation so weird and cheezy / sleezy.

The problem with the picture is that George thinks he is cool and he is just lame. He has had so many authors on C2c kissing his butt just so they can plug their books for so long he believes it.  He is a narcissist and thinks he is God's gift to us all.  I remember years ago when he and Barbra Simpson used to cover the weekends for Art.  He sucked then, but it wasn't the arrogant suckage of that we have today.  He used to say ( right after he took over C2C) he would retire on 12/21/2012 but he seems to have forgotten that.
