Yep, General, and Roy has a big smile, with The Master of the Night returning soon.  I'd say your assessment is pretty accurate.  The only thing "I'm not Art" gets is the PremRat corporate game.  Jorch likes to keep that Master happy.

Noory started the "split show" term a few years back when he started having two 2-hour guests instead of one 1-hour guest and a 3-hour guest.
Its probably easier for him to not have to come up with 3 hours worth of questions for a guest, with only 2 hours he can do one hour with Q&A plus another hour with caller questions.
In contrast, Art in the 90's could handle a full 4 hours with a guest easily plus an extra hour at the end with open lines.

That may be part of it, but i think Noorie has dumbed down the current C2C audience to the point where they have a difficult time with the same guest/topic for longer than 2 hours at a time. Besides destroying the show he probably is responsible for dropping the average C2C listener's IQ into double digits.

Actually that might be fun with Art at the helm.
That's the only reason I liked open unscreened lines with Art; what would/could happen next where would Art take it.
Otherwise it gets dull fast with no chance of "magic happening".

That wasn't a ceasefire, he just said "thanks for the plug" it was on his Facebook and just his response to David talking about Art's show last week. He was confused and said something just like that, that now he needn't be afraid of Open Lines & prank calls, not that they would or should stop.
