Well, acutally, that WAS by design. God said it was a women's punishment for having sex.
wasn't Eve punished with painful childbirth for eating the apple in the Garden of Eden?  8)

what amazes me about George is that he's dumb enough to say the stupid shit he says on air but somehow he's smart enough to continue breathing. it boggles the mind

Yes, you are correct, it wasn't a punishment for having sex.  On another note, I saw a show that had women who orgasmed while giving birth.  The women described how childbirth was a wonderful, pleasurable experience.

You'll never here about it on the Nooron show, because he sucks!  You'll only here about women and children in pain.

onan

It wasn't an apple, but the fruit of knowledge.

Carl Sagan made the suggestion that this story was metaphorical. That it was the change in society from a nomadic to an agricultural social system. Having a diet with grains, which are complex carbohydrates, helped our brains develop. In doing so, we understood mortality and now had death. Sagan also conjectured that due to a diet with grains our physiology changed and brains were now larger and in so being made childbirth more painful... he did a much better job telling the story.

The guest just made a comment along the lines of how frustrating it is when you are trying to get through to someone and they aren't listening.
GN: Yes it is.

GN: I believe Jane Goodall is dead.
2-3 minutes later
GN: Producer ??? has just informed me that Jane Goodall is alive and living in the UK.

Tommy not working tonight I see.
Tommy hanged himself when he heard ART was coming to get them

Happy hour at the Cafe Marrakesh's Oasis bar.  If only Tommy had been a better valet.

What is this business about Jorche doing 8 hours of show prep, you all speak of? Did he really say that, or are you all referencing this in jest. It must be in jest. He could not have said that and lived, what with lightening striking those who tell lies of such magnitude. Can someone please elaborate?

Checked out the program tonight, damn, could Coast 2 Coast get any worse?  O.K., I know the answer to that.  I guess it's better to have a boring subject followed by boring open lines. If the guest is really good then I might bother to tune in only to throw my radio against the wall when N00ry asks the most immature questions destroying anything intelligent and captivating the guest has to offer.  It's better to have stupid subjects in N00ry Land so I won't bother to tune in saving the price of a new radio.  Coast to Toast!!

A Coast-to-Coast instapoll has just been posted:
Which would you prefer George to perform on you in an emergency?
1.  Heimlich
2.  Mouth-to-Mouth
3.  Let me burn!
4.  Call the police, he is doing strange things with cue cards, he does not know what to do next.
5.  Wrap me up with gauze in a mummy fashion, it will be the only way I will ever be a captive audience.

I am brand new and figuring out how to use the site. But I just have to comment on George's misunderstanding of the Heimlich maneuver. He wonders why a choking person does not ask for help. If you can't breathe, you can't talk! It takes wind to engage the vocal cords. This is why the universal question to a possible victim of choking is "Can you talk?". The universal sign a choking person should display is to stand up and with one hand, make a throat cutting gesture across his or her neck. Someone trained in BLS (basic life support) will recognize the gesture and act quickly. You'll make an actual BFF! If choking and alone, use the back of a typical table chair; sounds difficult. So be careful with laughter, especially with meat in your mouth.

I just want to see George perform the Hind-lick maneuver. Right after he gets tested for Old-Timer's Disease.

Noory mentioned he is taking next Friday night off to go to his big Toronto event and John B. Wells is filling in that night.
So we get a 3day Noory-free weekend coming up.

What a bizarre series of calls.  First from a woman who wanted to discuss Obama's "$100-million" trip to Africa.  Noory had heard nothing about it.  The woman said the media, specifically CNN and Fox, had failed to report on it.  She didn't say how she heard about it.  After Noory again expressed ignorance, she was cut off.  Noory laughed, and then said "They do have a kill switch."  He later said that Coast did not cut off the woman, but "they" did.
Next call was from "Rico" who claimed to be calling from Brazil. Noory was well informed about the turmoil in that country and asked several relevant questions.  Tommy did not appear to be working - someone named Gina was, so maybe she prepares better cue cards.
The next call brought up choking, and Noory again said he didn't understand why someone choking would sit quietly, embarrassed and not say anything or ask for help.  As a previous poster pointed out, when you choke, you can't talk.
George Noory sucks.

Maybe that's what happened to Tommy..

Sometimes a person's first reaction when choking is to be embarrassed.  People have been known, when a piece of food goes down the wrong way, to quietly get up and go to the restroom.  They don't want to create a scene.  When they don't return, someone goes to check on them and finds them unconscious - or dead.  This exact scenario happened to a childhood friend a couple of months ago.  His son went to check on him and found him unconscious.  His son did what he could but his dad died.  I talked to his brother a couple of weeks ago and he said his nephew, even though he did everything he could, has been completely overwhelmed by feelings of guilt.  A tragedy for everyone involved.
