Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

American Buffoon: The George Noory Story.

Maybe Giaim would make it into a "TV" movie.

In the same spiel, he suggested that every time he returns to God's Chosen Country, he kisses the ground. 'You just feel better, don't you?' He told us that his Pope impersonation is something he has 'always done'. Don't believe a word of it. I want to go back to that 'always', though. It's my new Nooronese obsession. Snoorch pronounces it 'ow-weez'...

I thought he hadn't been out of the country other than his ill fated trip to Baja when he was nearly kidnapped.  Surely we'd have heard the stories if he had been.

Yes, the bizarro world version of "American Gigolo."  Richard Gere would be thrilled, I'm sure.  :o

I'm not sure about Gere and his gerbil but we're ALL sure about Noory and his pizza roll.  ;)

When that one caller talked about how he fell out of a tree fort when he was little, Jorch must have been wetting himself. But then the man said he was not hurt at all and it was a mystery. LET DOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN!!!

Didn't George have a dog, or claim to have one for a dog food ad he use to do?  And if so, how does he get through two hours of dog talk without mentioning his dog?
I recall Noory did mentioned that dog once during the interview, but not by name.
He said that he didn't have time to care for the dog since he is always travelling so he lets an old woman friend near St. Louis be the caretaker and that he is owner of the dog by name only...

A dog owner "in abstentia."  MIA.  Typical Noory.  Just like his relationship with C2C.

Add "Born in the USA" to his crooning list.

Oh yes, when the Snorge returns from the gulag that is Canada he sighs with relief, thanks god, kisses the ground, and brags about what a risk taking adventurer he is.

He did mention the dog's name a few times.  Sometimes he would say "Diamond the dog." Other times, it was "Casey the dog."  I have 3 dogs.  I never say, "Charlie the dog."  I say "Charlie or my dog, Charlie." Even back then, and this was shortly after he started, it struck me as forced, fake, and odd.  I think everyone knows now that it was just a prop for the commercials.

Good memory.  Now that you mention it, I seem to remember Casey the dog.  His inseparable companion which he dumped like a hot potato.  Like everything else George does, it came off as odd, weird, creepy, and/or phony.

Jorch elaborated on his 9-year navy stint. He says he took the retirement option just before his unit got sent to Desert Storm. Add coward to his profile. Unless his commander thought he was the weakest link. Not sure I'd want Jorchie watching my back in combat.

Did anyone hear george, years ago, speak of being assigned to the pentagon while in the Navy Reserves?  He gave the impression that it was quite an important job of course, but has never mentioned it again.  I would like to know if the job lasted one weekend, or the whole two summer weeks?  (he wouldn't fib about something involving his service to our country would he??)  But there was some question if George W ever even showed up at all when he was in the reserves, wasn't there?  Please clear your story up for us George N.

Completely uninteresting. This show is so generic and cookie cutter these days it's sad.
Sounds like someone whining to me.

He referred to his dog as "the dog" and then got rid of it? As if I needed another reason to loathe this person.

George seems aware the humans tend to like animals, he just isn't sure why.  It's confusing for him because we eat them too.

He says he goes back and forth between LA and St Louis.  I'm not sure where Casey was, but he said he kept it kenneled when he was at the other city.  Which at the time created a minor internet outrage.  That's when he decided he 'gave it' to someone that could take care of it full time.

George has had a lot of stories over the years relating how much he loves animals:  after 'giving' Casey to that lady, from time to time he would then say a person didn't have to 'take care of' an animal in order to love animals, that some people just weren't able to care for one - which always sounded very defensive and weird.  A few times he mentioned some older lady whose dog died and how he delivered a new puppy to her and how happy that made her.  Then there's the classic story about leaving a date right in the middle of dinner because she said she didn't like animals.  Or how much he misses the horses on his 'horse farm'.

I really hope he just made up having the dog - which is very possible since it usually came up when he was pretending to love animals.  I personally think he made up having a dog and all the rest of it because he knew people liked hearing about Art's cats and thought talking about animals was a cheap way to appeal to them.

Noory told the story again last night.
Somehow his tale of dumping some gorgeous woman and leaving her hanging at a restaurant because he learned she didn't like animals doesn't quite ring true. More likely she was the one that left him hanging there after seeing her 'blind date'  8)

I've heard him tell that story so many times, and he always mentions that he paid the bill as he was sneaking out of the restaurant.  Friday night he added that "lots of my friends told me I shouldn't have even paid for the dinners."

Talk amongst yourselves on that one.  :P

That's what I hope and tend to believe...Noory just made up the whole thing about "Casey the dog."  It seemed back in those days he was trying to emulate Art, to some degree.  "Let's see...Art would tell some stories about his personal life, I need to, too.  Art had his cats, so I'll have a dog." Of course, it all just came off as strange and phony, in the usual Noory manner.

Now that Noory seems to think he's a great success in his little world, he, fortunately, doesn't try to emulate Art and would prefer everybody forgot about Art.  So Noory has a choice of imitating someone else, which is strange and phoney, or being himself, which is strange and phony.

Do you remember Mr. Dressup?  His companions were a puppet child named Casey and a puppet dog named Finnegan.  I don't know if that's where Noory got the name from, but it strikes me that he couldn't even get that little detail right.  Interestingly, in my search I came across a Facebook page for "Casey the Dog," but it doesn't seem to be affiliated with Noory.

Sorry, I don't remember "Mr. Dressup."  I see it was a Canadian children's show?  When I hear "Casey," the first thing that comes to my mind is the train engineer and the TV show.   ;D

I know it is Father's Day But:
You know that you have no friends when. . .even your dog has his own Facebook page created and he refuses to friend. you.

Noory really likes to stay close to his dog KC.  . he pets him everyday and walks with him in the fresh California sunshine and makes a rug for him. . just look at the top of Noory's head.

I guess it must have been Canadian.  Can't blame George for that one then.  I know the name of the mythical engineer Casey Jones but have to admit I didn't know it was a television show.

That dead squirrel Jorch found under his bed was probably a long forgotten pet chihuahua. Probably a gift from Tommy on valentines day.

Yeah, that's believable.

I'm sure this has been asked before but does anyone have any indications that George knows he's this hated? I know he has mentioned haters before but has he ever mentioned this site or others that tear into him? I would assume George is ego-manical enough to Google himself on the regular, surely he must know he's mostly despised. Like an old man sliding into a hot bath, I take great pleasure in thinking he reads this site and knows deep-down that people consider him on the level of fecal matter. Any info to confirm this would be appreciated and thanks to all of you for making me laugh so much daily on here. Truly an elite group of "haters". ;)

He has to know. Just type George Noory into Google's search engine and "sucks" pops up before "net worth", "girlfriend", etc.

Very happy to tune in tonight to hear Knapp and one of my favorite comedians, Bobcat Goldthwait.
