George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

In my post Noory's TV Pursuits - First Five Episodes, I did skip though portions of one episode, and when they did a close-up shot of Nooron's face while he's talking, I thought I detected a very slight weakness on the left side of his face, similar to a weak Bell's palsy effect. Maybe not.

NOTE: too bad the new Radio Trainwreck Show is on at 2000 EST - right when the hockey game starts - and I think my dad would think it's weird if I went into the guest room knowing I was going to participate in a web podcast from a forum I belong to  :o   Maybe I can pop in for 17 minutes between periods.

people are still watching hockey?

What if George has been struggling with results of a stroke which left him with a speech problem and a mental deficit? And instead of being an idiot anti-savant and a moron, he is instead a tremendous hero who has struggled in obscurity and loneliness, only to be mocked and derided by.....

Oh, we're going to hell.....

Perhaps I have some sociopathic tendency or something but it kills me everytime to google image search 'George Noory' and see how many different people show up!

my god man! why would you WANT to google GN pix?
oh the horror!
I would be afraid I would get some kind of Norrie virus or malware, Snoreware . yuck.

Just when I think I've read the most caustic (I've used that word too much today) anti-Noory post ever, in comes Eddie, with his usual aplomb, to save the day.  ;) :o ;) :o

For hater purposes of course: to see if there are any new good photoshops out there. This one struck me as kind of strange until I began to understand it:

I think this one was made by a Nooryite. It doesn't make any sense for one thing - if you think someone is crazy by the way they talk on the phone then you are definitely judging them. But it speaks to who Jorch's weird fanbase is. They don't actually believe in any of this paranormal stuff, they think the people who do are actually crazy. They look to George to because he obviously doesn't believe in any of it either, he seems to cast doubt on and act superioer to every single guest that comes on unless he's a) hitting on a female guest or b) involved in selling their product. He guides his flock through the mysterious satanic unknown and keeps it at bay. And just look at the birthday cards he gets and some of the stupid things that listeners send in. Here is one example, it's not hard to find more:

To keep the hockey motif alive, it was like a Phil Esposito goal, the puck was there in the crease nicely set up, I just had to poke it in.

The aliens are smiling because George told them about Jesus and now their souls are saved. Hooray!

I couldn't come up with a way to edit Sardondi's (rather plausible) theory down to a couple of words and preserve the delivery as much as I would like to; maybe someone else can.

On Friday, John B Wells is going to tell the world that George Noory sucks and that Friday is his last show. After John B Wells tells the truth about Mr Snoory, Mr Snoory will quit Coast to Coast am. That is my view point on the subject. I am not sure if that is the surprise but I can wish. BTW Mr Noory, You SUCK a lot.

You just can't make this shit up - the same "artist" who drew that, did these:

Of course I'm terribly biased, and would've used Steve Yzerman or Pavel Datsyuk, but your point is well taken  ;)

I had considered that for a short while.  However, if George had overcome a stroke to become the best and most popular night time radio host in history (according to him) I guarantee that we would hear it thrice nightly.  We already hear how he overcame a hot pizza roll a few times a week.  There is no way he could keep that accomplishment to himself.

CrabbyOld Bat

I dunno if Snorge had a stroke but I've often wondered if he had a cleft lip (also called a harelip) and maybe a cleft palate too since they frequently occur together. His mustache has always looked to me as if it's there to hide something. (If anyone remembers Stacy Keach, he had a cleft lip and used a 'stache to minimize its appearance.)

Anyway, a cleft lip could be associated with some facial paralysis which might be what some people have noticed. A cleft lip and/or cleft palate could also account for at least part of Snorge's apparent speech impediment.

All that said, Snorge still sucks and it has nothing to do with any cleft unless possibly there's an unnatural one in his brain.

I do not really dislike Hogue (he seems to at least be well versed on his subjets vs. the usual hucksters that Coast usually puts on who do not know their own subjets.)  However, when he claimed to have predicted this a year ago I had to go looking.  Taken from http://www.oshonews.com/2012/02/st-malachys-prophecy/ Pope Benedict may not be long for this world, or that he might even resign his post as pilot of a bark of pontificacy, marred by sex scandals, that has run aground, requiring a new pope.  Whether this is just Internet clap trap or a real effort to force him out, at his advanced age Pope Benedict cannot long remain. The odds are that we are perhaps a year or two, no more than five years away, from seeing the Roman Catholic Church choose what will be St. Malachy’s “Last Pope”

This seems somewhat amazing until you actually look at the prediction.  First, the idea that he is right no matter what happens (between 1 and 5 years is a long time.)  This would include the death of Ratzinger who had a couple of strokes, had a pacemaker and was (85 years?) old.  Predicting that an old guy with heart problems in a high stress environment might drop dead within half a decade is a pretty good bet.

Fine- he mentioned retirement.  Fairly radical considering that there was only a handful of popes who have resigned in the past.  While I cannot find it now, I am damn near positive that Ratzinger wrote a paper promoting the idea of a pope retiring MANY years ago. (try finding a paper written by the pope about retirement after he retires).

Thats it.  I do not mind listening to somebody who knows his subject- I just take issue with the guy blowing his horn on being right about a prediction a year ago that was bound to come true one way or the other...

I do think George has had something happen, as someone who listened to his St Louis shows way back when he does seem mentally slow and his speech impediment has gotten worse.  Alzheimer's maybe?  Another thought is a drug interaction from the massive quantities of vitamins and pills the guy takes, untested, not FDA approved stuff.

I am an extremely strong proponent of b_dubb's and others' view that, the key to handling these is to simply: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. You don't even need to use the ignore feature - just resist the temptation to respond, and the situation will likely take care of itself. If not, MV will step in and fix it. This is not to say you mustn't/shouldn't defend yourself when attacked, but as I've mention with respect to our resident Pud, being baited to feed the trolls could actually make you the bait, which is unbecoming.

Are you kidding me? I think you need to take a good look at your recent history. I don't really care if you originated the bad form or not. Your internet skills seem to be intimidating, certainly far superior to mine. But you have more than once taken another's image and used as your avatar... not counting Sarah. You have in the past posted information that suggested some level of "if you don't back off I will embarrass you even more". Even If I concede those you targeted were dimwits, your posts went well above calling someone out. This forum doesn't need that kind of bully.
And for the life of me, I don't know why you do it. ffs you are quite intelligent, seem to have a life that many would love to have and yet you can be as petty as hell.
I at times find you funny and almost always enjoy your posts that are informational. And I do not like posting this.

How is this for you?  Ratzinger encouraged John Paul II to retire, see last section in Chapter: http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=KWFE2wa6WCEC&oi=fnd&pg=PA36&dq=ratzinger+pope+retirement&ots=zdd95kbkvg&sig=ROp_82J3Px5KjhhJy455cJrkXkA#v=onepage&q=ratzinger%20pope%20retirement&f=false

Ahh, good to know that I was not imagining things or making them up.  Thanks- I will have to browse it tomorrow.  I had to give up after a short search as I was beginning to feel lost and hopeless while searching (sort of like listening to Noory...)

A quick news segment appearance by Howard Bloom.  Financial advice from Bruce Helmer.  George says "don't put all your eggs in one basket."  Catchy.  He also used the word "inpertuity."  Doesn't exist.  No matter.  George asked John Hogue, "why does the appearance of end times seem to upset so many people?" Yeah, because you'd think it would be just the opposite.  I'm going to start writting him fan mail.  I'm going to be the reed that bends with the wind.  This is his world, and people are just acting weird.
