Uhm, I dunno George. Maybe for the same reason that the subject of your own death seems to absolutely terrify you?

Thanks for cowardly refusing to answer my question, "we". That tells me for certain George didn't answer those emails. No surprise.

The threat of an attorney is laughable. What are you, 15 years old? You can't think of something more original?

How about this then?

Maybe you should tell your attorney to check into George's constant promotion of quacks who are not licensed to practice medicine, yet claim to have cures for cancer, Parkinson's, etc. (While George fully supports what they say  and gives out medical advice of his own -- pushing turmeric, or telling people to alter their bodies' pH, etc. Or perhaps a worse offense -- repeatedly promoting a guest who is clearly exploiting a paranoid schizophrenic for monetary gain.) Let me know what your "attorney" thinks about that.

Thanks for your email. You've made my day.

Snoory's go-to interview prompts:

Out:

What is the best/worst/scariest things you learned/heard/saw?

Why did you write this book

Fake demonic voices

In:

D'ya feel like sumpthin's gunna happen?

Are people starting to act strange?

(Maybe poor Snoorz is simply developing an anxiety/paranoia disorder...)

Nice job, especially the suggestion at the end. Obviously not Noory - grammar and spelling are correct.

John Hogue reads off his yellow notepad and Noory spoke about 12 words per hour of interview. The good news is no Noory 3x5s. The bad news is two boring and hard-to-follow hours of "I have no idea what is going on". Not engaging radio, but disengaging radio. The fourth hour and callers were much better.
In the fourth hour, a caller claimed most Rabbis practicing today would vote to crucify Jesus Christ.  Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Ephemera: George Noory played a full 90 seconds of Lady in Red, presumably for the pope or possibly Linda Moulton Howe.

I have to hand it to you COB.  I am either too lazy or too much of a weenie to get into it with him myself beyond the little I have done.  I have wondered if I should register my feelings more often.

We are entitled to our opinion and have a constitution that allows us to express it.  Sorry guys - sometimes you do get raunchy but that's part of your charm.  He puts himself out there as a public figure.  We don't follow him home, stalk him, ambush his events, strew our opinions haphazardly everywhere, publish his address or send dangerous packages.  We are amazingly contained.  Sure we consider the odd burned out lightbulb or pizza roll box, but it is only to exercise our free speech.  It's not our fault he supplies hours of material every night he airs.

OMG - the lady in red bumper.  All I could imagine is how Snoorz would totally connect with that song romantically.  That would be the song he would play when he "made his move" or worse - the one he would kareoke when he was trying to woo his special lady.

Magnificent job, Crabby! Oh, the thought that we might get our day in Court. All taking it in turns to give examples of the suckage of Joorch before settling back to watch their attorney attempt to persuade a jury that he is, in fact, a competent broadcaster. What joy!!

This is so perfect. Jorch is all for the first amendment, except when someone else is exercising it. And yet, he promotes quacks on his show who are notorious for being investigated by the FDA and have no clinical trials to support their claims beyond unsubstantiated anecdotal reports. If anyone is in a position to be sued, it's ol' Jorch for disseminating 'medical' quackery that could lead someone from seeking valid, clinically supported medical treatment, resulting in a preventable death.

Five minutes on Google shows almost every one of his 'experts' are known, identified and disgusting quacks who prey on the vulnerable. If I were Jorch, I'd think long and hard, if that's even possible, about the person who puts his trust in Jorch's advice and loses a family member or his own life and the resulting lawsuit.

Never understood how anyone can enjoy listening to this pompous fop.
I am afraid that people may have misinterpreted me when I said that I do not really dislike Hogue.  It is not that I believe him, think he is correct nor would buy his book or search him out... He just makes a better guest than most of the other people George brings on.  The cancer doctors (and non-doctors) take a quick internet search to expose them as dangerous fraudsters.  The numbers lady pull crap out of her ass every time she opens her mouth (that was the third time I thought that this month... three being a prime number, and February being the second month = 5.  5 means... well, you get the idea.)  At least as far a guests go, he has something going on and has obviously spent some time looking at his subject.  Think Mel from Mels hole when you think Hogue (No- I am not putting him in the same category  just demonstrating that you do not need to believe the tales somebody spins to appreciate the tale.)

I would be just as happy to have the next pope drop dead 5 days into his term and we can all laugh when Hogue comes on Coast to spin some tale as to why that pope did not count and that he is still right.  As it is I think we can safely look forward to a decade more of this prophesy (sort of like a 2012 thing...)

Awesome, take legal action against your "haters"... That'll show 'em.

As for the stroke, I don't think George has had one. He's been doing this since day one. I get it... I'm no public speaker, I fumble over words from time to time and that's precisely why I didn't go into broadcasting. It doesn't help that the man is dumb as a stump and the idea of asking a followup question simply hasn't occurred to him. Just doesn't make for a great listening experience.

Take a hike, Noory.

I remember George once praising Lex for what looked like very minor changes to the website, and mentioned that it had taken him something like a year or two to get it done.  Putting together a lawsuit is a bit more involved in that, maybe we'll all get served by Team Norry in about 30 years.

... I remember when he first started hosting after Art, I felt halfway hopeful, like, "OK, there'll never be another Art, but maybe this guy can at least pull it off." It's only been during the past few years that his out-of-left-field ridiculous questions and spacey way of conducting interviews have started irritating me...

I think he has gotten worse over time.  I haven't listened for 2 or 3 years now but he was still worsening when I finally stopped.   But I also think it takes a while to notice all the suckiness and realize each sucky bit is another in a series and not an isolated event - for example it takes awhile to realize he never asks a follow up unless it's on one of the 2 or 3 topics he's interested in or if it's one of the handfull of regular guests he's comfortable with.

That may be George's biggest problem (well, that and laziness) - still after 10 years he just does not seem comfortable with people other than his regulars.  Seems like a bad thing for a radio talk show host.

George Noory -- the most thin-skinned moron in radio or any other form of media.  If his topnotch, dream team lawyers (Better call Saul! http://www.bettercallsaul.com/) want my contact info, I'll gladly supply it.  He can even access my Facebook page. Yes, I'm a FB-using rube.   :'(   My family is mostly military, and we're spread across the world right now, so it makes staying in contact easier.  But, I digress.  If these simpletons believe they can successfully pursue legal claims against those who nitpick a public figure, they are crazy.

I just went to the very first post on this thread, back in 2008, where MV listed numerous Nooryism's.

I was imaging Noory hiring an attorney for possible defamation.  One of the very first things the attorney would do is to look at this supposed "hatred."  He'd read example after example of the inanity of Mr. Noory.  I imagine the attorney saying to himself, "this is the GD most stupid client I've ever had."

I wonder how far into the 10,000 hours of show broadcasts the judge would have to hear before dismissing the case.

by the way... if george's legal team wants to pursue a defamation case against me as the forum owner or any of the forum's users, let them bring it.  defamation cases are notoriously difficult to prove for private citizens... so a public figure like noory has a huge burden to overcome in tipping the scales.  furthermore, i am not without access to legal representation.  george seems to think only he is capable of getting a lawyer.

long story short:  nothing will come of this.

do you find herman cain to be inadequate as a replacement host for boortz?  to be less diplomatic, i've caught bits of his show several times over the last 2 or 3 weeks, and WOW is that a suckfest.  he just doesn't sound particularly intelligent and he says nothing while speaking.

Did anyone hear GN attempt to use the word:  "perpetuity"  last night?  It was hilarious!
He said some sort of word, and from the context of the sentence, I think he was trying to say:  perpetuity.  Come on, George........just work on pronouncing FEBRUARY.
