The bad news is two boring and hard-to-follow hours of "I have no idea what is going on". Not engaging radio, but disengaging radio. The fourth hour and callers were much better.
    In the fourth hour, a caller claimed most Rabbis practicing today would vote to crucify Jesus Christ.  Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.

I have to hand it to you COB.  I am either too lazy or too much of a weenie to get into it with him myself beyond the little I have done.  I have wondered if I should register my feelings more often.


We are entitled to our opinion and have a constitution that allows us to express it.  Sorry guys - sometimes you do get raunchy but that's part of your charm.  He puts himself out there as a public figure.  We don't follow him home, stalk him, ambush his events, strew our opinions haphazardly everywhere, publish his address or send dangerous packages.  We are amazingly contained.  Sure we consider the odd burned out lightbulb or pizza roll box, but it is only to exercise our free speech.  It's not our fault he supplies hours of material every night he airs.

This is so perfect. Jorch is all for the first amendment, except when someone else is exercising it. And yet, he promotes quacks on his show who are notorious for being investigated by the FDA and have no clinical trials to support their claims beyond unsubstantiated anecdotal reports. If anyone is in a position to be sued, it's ol' Jorch for disseminating 'medical' quackery that could lead someone from seeking valid, clinically supported medical treatment, resulting in a preventable death.


Five minutes on Google shows almost every one of his 'experts' are known, identified and disgusting quacks who prey on the vulnerable. If I were Jorch, I'd think long and hard, if that's even possible, about the person who puts his trust in Jorch's advice and loses a family member or his own life and the resulting lawsuit.

Never understood how anyone can enjoy listening to this pompous fop.

I am afraid that people may have misinterpreted me when I said that I do not really dislike Hogue.  It is not that I believe him, think he is correct nor would buy his book or search him out... He just makes a better guest than most of the other people George brings on.  The cancer doctors (and non-doctors) take a quick internet search to expose them as dangerous fraudsters.  The numbers lady pull crap out of her ass every time she opens her mouth (that was the third time I thought that this month... three being a prime number, and February being the second month = 5.  5 means... well, you get the idea.)  At least as far a guests go, he has something going on and has obviously spent some time looking at his subject.  Think Mel from Mels hole when you think Hogue (No- I am not putting him in the same category  just demonstrating that you do not need to believe the tales somebody spins to appreciate the tale.)


I would be just as happy to have the next pope drop dead 5 days into his term and we can all laugh when Hogue comes on Coast to spin some tale as to why that pope did not count and that he is still right.  As it is I think we can safely look forward to a decade more of this prophesy (sort of like a 2012 thing...)

As for the stroke, I don't think George has had one. He's been doing this since day one. I get it... I'm no public speaker, I fumble over words from time to time and that's precisely why I didn't go into broadcasting. It doesn't help that the man is dumb as a stump and the idea of asking a followup question simply hasn't occurred to him. Just doesn't make for a great listening experience.

I remember George once praising Lex for what looked like very minor changes to the website, and mentioned that it had taken him something like a year or two to get it done.  Putting together a lawsuit is a bit more involved in that, maybe we'll all get served by Team Norry in about 30 years.

... I remember when he first started hosting after Art, I felt halfway hopeful, like, "OK, there'll never be another Art, but maybe this guy can at least pull it off." It's only been during the past few years that his out-of-left-field ridiculous questions and spacey way of conducting interviews have started irritating me...

I think he has gotten worse over time.  I haven't listened for 2 or 3 years now but he was still worsening when I finally stopped.   But I also think it takes a while to notice all the suckiness and realize each sucky bit is another in a series and not an isolated event - for example it takes awhile to realize he never asks a follow up unless it's on one of the 2 or 3 topics he's interested in or if it's one of the handfull of regular guests he's comfortable with.

That may be George's biggest problem (well, that and laziness) - still after 10 years he just does not seem comfortable with people other than his regulars.  Seems like a bad thing for a radio talk show host.
