Why is George missing at least every other Friday for those dreaded open line nights, especially after he signed his new contract.

I think he goes to Denver on Fridays and tapes his 'television show'.

Hasn't Jorch said in the past he hardly takes any vacation time since he's so dedicated to his listeners?  Not that I'm complaining.....less Jorch is always a good thing.

I think it sucks he still shows up Monday thru Thursday.

He's 1) afraid to leave the show for nore than a day or two, because he knows just about any bum off the street can and will do a better job, and 2) he has nowhere to go, and no interest in going anywhere

But, the company insists he take his vacation days - if he doesn't, for accounting purposes unused vacation is treated as a Liability on the Balance Sheet with the offsetting debit to Expense on the Profit and Loss statement.  Corporations hate that.

Noory wants to come to the office every day, hang out, chat, surf the internet, catch up on celeb gossip, go have lunch, bother his agent.  Getting him to stay there for the full show is the problem.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have Jorch as the office pest?  ;)   "Wanna see the inside of my mouth?  It's soooooooo painful!"  :o

I'm thinking, too, Jorch plays hooky on Fridays so he can do something with his make-believe TV show.  I wonder what kind of arrangement he has with PremRat for doing "Beeyond Bleef?"  I'd think the set-up with his TV wonderland would be completely separate from his PremRat radio operation, yet the C2C website links to clips for the TV crapfest.  It's almost as if PremRat has some interest/involvement with the TV show, beyond allowing Jorch play TV make-believe.

Wiki has some background on Gaiam.  I thought this was interesting:

"Gaiam has been known to attempt to market cheap knock-off products, such as a Vídeo Brinquedo DVD entitled The Frog Prince (2009), an imitation of Walt Disney Pictures The Princess and the Frog(2009), under the name of the former GoodTimes brand, even when this company has no association with the production or the product itself."

Sounds par for the course for anything associated with Jorch.  ::)

Noory now has his videocast to tape in Denver once a month and also has more convention event appearances on weekends, so he has to travel on Fridays probably.

I wonder if Giam TV has to pay for those spots and the link on the Coast site?  I'd make them pay if I were Cheap Channel.

That's what I was wondering.  Jorch pushes his make-believe TV show on C2C.  I'm assuming he wouldn't do it if PremRat wasn't getting something out of the deal but who knows with bozo Jorch.

If it were only all make believe, the airwaves would be a better place.

They probably let him put up whatever he wants.

Heck, if you walked into PremRat and asked for him they might not even know who you were talking about (after a bit of scurrying - 'oh, I think he might be the guy that's on at night sometimes').

Have you seen that opening - a series of shots of things like pyramids, scary creatures, flying saucers, etc, there's George narrating off camera in his best menacing voice telling us he's 'gun-nuh get to thuh trooth'.

And then proceeds to ask the same guests the same questions as he does on Coast.. with less enthusiasm, if that's poshible.

You do have to wonder about the overall competency of any outfit that would employ Jorch.

His sister is dying though, right? Or fighting very late-stage cancer? He got pretty emotional on the air about it recently â€" I do feel for him there. Maybe that, plus his new TV pursuits, plus the show are all getting to be too much and he needs some balance. Or maybe after 10 years he's getting burned out. I remember when he first started hosting after Art, I felt halfway hopeful, like, "OK, there'll never be another Art, but maybe this guy can at least pull it off." It's only been during the past few years that his out-of-left-field ridiculous questions and spacey way of conducting interviews have started irritating me.

I remember sometime in late 2012 he was interviewing this lady who claimed to communicate with animals and â€" ok, that seems a little wacko but it's one of the reasons why I love C2C â€" she was in the middle of telling this halfway interesting story and he suddenly interrupted it with a goofy, trying-to-be-funny question that had NOTHING to do with the story she was telling â€" I wish I could remember what the question was, it was so EPICALLY stupid â€" and it completely derailed her (she even sounded confused, like WTF is up with this question) and she never finished her story. I wanted to scream and throw something at my radio. I honestly thought he was drunk, it was so bizarre. Or that he had wandered away from the mic for a while and wandered back.

It's that kind of thing that seems to be happening all the time. So yeah, I think George could use a break. I feel like I'm the token JB Wells fan on this site, but I do hope he takes over Fridays â€" I know there are mixed opinions about it over here, but I actually like his Naked Lines â€" he gets some wackos that make me laugh and he's always so cool about it, which makes me like him that much more.

And BAH, I can't help but be a soft-hearted girl over here (SORRY) and say I hope George doesn't read this forum and feel sad and crappy about himself.  :(

It's not personal, George! It's just business!  ::)

Tinfoil Hat

I couldn't agree with you more, Sera. As off the rails into Alex Jones-land as JB gets, he's a huge improvement over Snoory.
