Happy nuptials to She'She'.  She got married to a he on New Year's Day.  Rumor is that the happy couple are taking a briefly belated Honeymoon to an island paradise on his private jet  or plane.  I am not clear on that detail.
Is he a racist too?

Sympathy
BY PAUL LAURENCE DUNBAR, 1872-1906

I know what the caged bird feels, alas!
When the sun is bright on the upland slopes;
When the wind stirs soft through the springing grass,
And the river flows like a stream of glass;
When the first bird sings and the first bud opes,
And the faint perfume from its chalice stealsâ€"
I know what the caged bird feels!

I know why the caged bird beats his wing
Till its blood is red on the cruel bars;
For he must fly back to his perch and cling
When he fain would be on the bough a-swing;
And a pain still throbs in the old, old scars
And they pulse again with a keener stingâ€"
I know why he beats his wing!

I know why the caged bird sings, ah me,
When his wing is bruised and his bosom sore,â€"
When he beats his bars and he would be free;
It is not a carol of joy or glee,
But a prayer that he sends from his heart’s deep core,
But a plea, that upward to Heaven he flingsâ€"
I know why the caged bird sings!

Paul Dunbar preceded Maya Angelou in poetry.  He died of tuberculosis.

No I know it's hard to believe.  But evidently in Kentucky people are still racist.

I see you and hopefully your creativity, to some extent, are back.

Describes Hell well.  It's the version I was taught in school.  Later when I heard Angelou's version, I thought hers was a parody until I researched it.  One more rabbit hole, but not a bad one.

Maybe when I get rich, I'll get a little plastic fountain for my bird cage.  Since the river is just not an option at this time, lol.  On second thought, there won't be enough plug-ins and the wiring won't support another extension cord.  So a $15 fountain is not an option either.

I'm going to bed.

Everyone say a prayer for those who need freedom and liberty:  Shut-ins, people residing in hospitals, people who are born and die in them, people whose primary identity is not accepted by mainstream society, targeted individuals, oppressed minorities, victims of inescapable abuse, prisoners including the wrongfully convicted, Chinese prisoners, and POWs, people whose brains work but who cannot speak nor move, confined animals (beasts of burden, stores, circus, zoo, lab, stall, stall/cage), victims of trafficking, boat people, babies stuck in cars, people stuck in elevators during heat waves, people in natural disasters, people who are severely mentally ill, Satanists, former gang members, people who work 70-hour weeks just to survive, child laborers, slave laborers, child slave laborers, workers stuck in mines, victims of blackmail/extortion/coercion/intimidation, people who work for watchdog, documentary or Christian organizations, people on hospice, and anyone else I missed like women who are too afraid to go to the river alone because it doesn't seem safe gender-wise.  God help us all.  Amen.

I did find this interesting Thomas or whatever his real name called into another show under the name robert from mira mesa.https://twit.tv/shows/the-tech-guy/episodes/1658
from r/coasttocoast

https://www.reddit.com/r/coasttocoast/comments/el1g80/is_thomas_for_la_jolla_also_robert_from_mira_mesa/

I have thought for a while that Thomas makes his living as a paid caller. This info plus Thomas mentioning the Esalen Institute the other night, confirms it for me.

I have spoken on the show several times, but I gave it up because if you challenge the host or guest they cut you off. The last time I called about ten years ago, Tommy was rude as hell. He can barely conceal his seething rage. George will give him a stroke yet.

lol @ the Coast reddit Millennial Mike cites as evidence of the large but silent millennial Coast listenership. the /r/coasttocoast reddit was created in 2010, it has a whopping total of 2.1K subscribers most of whom probably subscribed 10 years ago and haven't looked at it since, half are probably dead. in the past 24 hours there is ONE new post, probably Mike.

about Thomas from La Jolla being outed, it wouldn't surprise me if the state of syndicated talk radio has gotten so low that behind the scenes there is a service that provides callers to radio shows.

now will Mike have the balls to ask George on the air about Thomas calling other radio shows under different aliases.

Because it's a nationally aired radio show and these people like you volunteer to put yourselves on display for people like me, if I'm ever lonely enough to need to talk to George Noory for 3 minutes and his fraudulent or mentally imbalanced guests please shoot me. I listen because the program is bizarre, Art's show was campy and fresh at one time, I can't even describe what George's version of Coast is, it's a parody where no one involved in it is aware of it and that does make it oddly entertaining to me. If there were anything else on radio late night I'd listen to it but radio has been in its death throes for a long time, at one time local radio stations had late night shows and overnight disc jockeys or talk hosts.

oh god Mike just got on the air and the 3rd word out of his mouth was of course 'millennial' -  exactly what I just wrote, banally bizarre people.
So hes bizarre for referencing millenials maby if you listened to the whole comment and question you might learn something instead of nit picking one thing he references from the whole call.

Shill callers have been around as long as talk radio itself.  Clear Channel (now IHeart) took it to a new level in the late 90s when they started using radio personalities from CC stations in other markets to stir up listeners.

I doubt Thomas is a paid caller, I think he just likes to call radio shows.  He strikes me as a 50ish Wally Cox type who has few real world friends, and "lives" through his radio identities.  There is a guy here locally who calls both local and national sports talk shows, and I know he has gone by at least three different names.  He works in a nearby hardware store, he's waited on me on a couple occasions.  The name on his store name tag is different from the names he uses on air.

That is true but when people say nobody who is a millenial listens to coast is just ridiculous. I mean being on in so many markets and states doesn't nielsen or whoever calculates the demographics have an average number of the listeners by age group that listens to the show on average.

Please stop saying millenial. It sickens me.

Why is that you have something against that age group?

Dateline

Do you think Norry is from the "Silent Generation"?  I heard his age is actually in Hollywood years. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

So why do most people on here seem to think calling in is a waste of time if you have something to benefit the show or guest I think you should be calling in.

why would an intelligent person call George Noory to talk about anything when George Noory is an absolute moron with no insight or knowledge into or on anything. the guests are mostly charlatans peddling woo or outright lunatics rambling on about conspiracies and religious prophecies? the only reason to call in is to call the guests on their bullshit and I and most people have no interest in doing that.

on the rare occasion there is a good guest I have nothing to add, i'm not an expert, the host's job is to ask intelligent questions and hold an interesting conversation.  talk radio callers are generally awful, occasionally you do get callers who are interesting or humorous who are as good or better than the hosts, some callers are entertaining because they are weirdos - Howard Stern was a trendsetter when he turned many of his weird callers into regulars on his show and some he hired to work on his show.

my grandpa was a talk radio caller, an uneducated man with an opinion on everything. he did read the newspaper front to back and watch TV news so he was at least well informed. also a communist, and just like most socialists he was for redistributing wealth, just not his. lol

Yeah I can understand that. Just don't write all millennials off as being a certain way. I'm definetly not going to try to change bellgabs mind on the show being a certain way but we are not bad or annoying attention seeking people who call in to the show I'm sorry that most people on here have that view. I can tell you also that Tom danheiser is really a great guy but the job can be stressful and he has to make a lot of judgement calls about who he is putting on the air and it can be a pretty stressful job.

In what way the people working for coast have been the same ones working there for like 10 plus years so. Don't see how he could be doing that.
