So I missed the SOTU Address, did our president say anything of importance? Did he apologize for wrecking the economy, abandoning our allies, emboldening  our enemies?
Is he still saying that the hole we are digging out of is deeper than he thought?  Is he gonna jail anyone for "too big to fail"?

this seems to be the big meme from to night

also Kim Davis was in attendance and he talked very briefly about climate change

Part time seasonal jobs created. Auto bailout was implemented to pay back unions. Fewer Americans working since Carter Administration. Annual GDP growth of what, 1.5%? Geez I can't wait till the Poser-in-Chief is gone, I mean, the smartest man to ever hold elected office.

Best line in the speech:  (paraphrased) "Most of the Americans who can look forward to 30 years of employment with full benefits and comfortable retirement are sitting in this room."

You didn`t even mention the most devastating of all Caesar Obamas` failures -- Foreign policy. The world burns while the simple one golfs.

Rejoice, brother!  The End Days!

I was right proud of my Governor tonight. The Honorable Nikki Haley. We love her down here in the low country, but we might be persuaded to let her serve as VP were the call to come. 8)

I don't see why.  Hillary will replace him.  Is that anything to look forward to?  The most level headed Republican is Kasich and look where he is in the polls.  I will never vote for a person who verbalizes his religious beliefs.  That's a personal thing and should be kept that way.

And don`t worry about Hills. She`ll be under indictment.

I just want anyone but Sanders. That guy will destroy this country completely. I don't think I've ever seen a candidate I had such a naturally immediate negative reaction to than Sanders. And I've been a life long Democrat. Just thinking about that idiot pisses me off.

Yorkshire pud will sleep soundly tonight knowing this weapon of mass destruction was confiscated from the streets of the UK.

More ugliness in Turkey:

QuoteFootage claiming to show the aftermath of a massive blast that destroyed the entire face of a multi-story police HQ in Turkey’s Diyarbakir province has appeared online. Early reports describe multiple casualties blame the Kurdish PKK militant group for the attack in Cinar and six other locations.

I always thought it odd that terrorists would blow up anything other than a police station. Perhaps we've turned a corner here.

Thank you.  To me, that just sounds like some political bs that HAS to be said to appeal to the voters on the right - the same way Trump says the Bible is the most important book in the world.
I don't think anyone takes that seriously.

I like his positive stance on guns and his disdain for the big monied folks controlling the government and for his belief that the environment is the most important issue facing the world today, because without it, we're all gone.  Everything else pales into insignificance.

Bernie's economics are fundamentally the New Deal II but would be as welcome in Congress as a wet kiss from an Ebola carrier. He became WH toast 30 years ago when he decided to label himself a  socialist. Its discouraging to hear so many fall for the free market bullshit.  We're the last generation still benefiting from FDRs policies now under steady attack. We're like a Kobe beef steer; life is seems wonderful because he has no idea what in store.

Another Carson manager resigned, his finance guy.  He was getting $20K/mo.  I'm guessing Carson's been fleeced by professional campaign parasites.

I'm warmed to hear the media reporting Cruz's unreported $500K loan in 2012 from Goldman Sachs, where his wife just happens to be a VP.  Yeah, he's an outsider.

Really doesn't surprise me that Carson was getting screwed. He really comes across as nearly autistic and not bright about most things. I've sure he's a great doctor and brilliant at many things but the dude was such an idiot front man, it's no surprise he's all but disappeared.

Ted Cruz is such a hilariously poor candidate, I can't even take him seriously.

That thing about over 100 Egyptian pyramids having been used for grain storage floored me.

The Republican Party is a joke at this point...they got a guy (Trump) kicking ass, and they don't support him...their spokesperson (Haley) used Dem talking points to try and hurt him politically...

I guess one could say Hillary did the same to Sanders, claiming he was a pro gun advocate...but that wasn't after the SOU address...

I'm glad I'm not of either party...

The reason someone like Trump is even able to get as far as he has is because all the other candidates are an abysmal joke as are both parties at this point.

I'm a Republican but do not support the Establishment anymore.  I went along with them for a long time until I couldn't compromise my values and beliefs any further.  The old guard of the Republican Party is about to fall and I will rejoice on that day.  As for Haley, I don't know what to think about her.  Some true conservatives love her, others don't.  I lean towards the latter but I have not made my mind up completely yet.
