I just had a Jehovah's Witness knock on my door and invite me to some religious party AND a helpful, but grammatically challenged, Indian person call me and offer to "help me with the Windows computer problem" I apparently have!! Within the same hour.
As long as Indian dude doesn't try to convert you and The JW doesn't fuck with your computer I think you'll be ok.

b_dubb

Should've handed the phone to the JW.

"It's Jesus. He want you to become an atheist."

The Indian gentleman has called me as well, offering to help with a Windows problem.

Using my somewhat lacking impression of Stacy Keach, I explained to him that I did not own a computer.

Then I provided MVs computer repair company's phone number and said their "Windows shit is veritably exploding" and that perhaps he should give them a call.

I coughed some and grunted a lot while doing the Keach, but it was still lacking.

First Day of Spring tomorrow!!
Why am I NOT posting this in the "Things That Bring Me Joy" thread??
Because by the end of the day there will be 4 to 6 INCHES OF SNOW in my driveway!!
Whoopty-fucking-do.
Oo, I better get to the store.... ;)

  March Madness and the brackets.

It makes one root for a number 1 to beat a number 16. Yuck. It's like rooting for Walmart to stomp a general store.

LOL ^^^

UNFORTUNATELY, with some shame, I must confess my addiction to Starbucks salted caramel macchiatos and tiramisu lattes. I am convinced there is some  latent yuppie inside of me from a previous incarnation that screams to be recognized.

Stop me before I latte again.
TMI, bro

I've never been a coffee drinker, so resistance was easy. I remember when a Starbucks opened across the street from a place I worked and most of my co-workers became hooked. They'd spend 20 bucks a day over there. I'd lecture them about their excess spending on lattes...and then I'd spend 40 bucks at nearby bars during lunch.
Yeah but that was for manshit, burgers, Scotch....the dancers.

This "Race Together" campaign by Starbucks should be countered with "how come that old rich Jew in Seattle barely pays you serfs minimum wage? Don't you guys feel exploited by that capitalist swine? Why aren't there more Palestinian Americans working at Starbucks?

Aren't they all working at my gas station?

Most people who work for Starbucks really like their jobs. They work part time hours but get full time benefits.

You should educate yourself before you run your mouth.
Does that include fuil time pay?

Why did you quit? I, too, thought it was over falkie...
Same here, thought the ole falkmeister layed you low.  Or maybe just laid you.  that would make me quit....life.

ETA:  Never mind dubby.  I caught up with your explanation.

I don't think I could say that without giggling like a school girl. So pretty much the same as every other week. I'll ask the boss.  My wife will then run it past MV.

no they are working for :
"windows technical support"
dell
microsoft
hp
most other support lines companies have.
so when you call microsoft, you might get the same guy that just yesterday called and said "our servers have detected that your computer has a virus" ...

Dumb bitches at work who expect me to do 12 hours of work in only 8 hours.

Women who refuse to take their car in for service so their man has to end up doing it.

His dad is an exec at a record company. And now you also know how they got signed.

Is he in that band that keeps looking for five cents???   ::)
Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk....

I has de sadz. It's annoying.

So I changed the plan for all the mobile phones in our office and instead of billing our mobiles, landlines and internet on the same bill like they always used to our provider started billing the mobiles separately. I asked that they be billed on the same bill from now on and they obliged. Because this happened near the end of the month I still received one last bill for $77.

I paid the bill via credit card and today, a month later, I receive a bill for $0.78 credit card processing fee. Now it costs $0.70 cents to send a letter in Australia (no doubt a big telecommunications company gets a cheaper deal from Australia Post) and the paper and the printing has to cost something. I would assume it costs close to the 78 cents that they are billing me for. Hopefully it costs them more than that.

Now do I just continue to pay $0.78 a month just to get a small victory over these incompetent fucks?

I was at the local hot dog drive-in stand the other day. Two young hipsters driving a 1998 shitmobile ramble through the entrance. Swing that huge turdbucket wide and take up two spaces.

FUCK THEM and their inability to drive. Let alone park an aircraft carrier.

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps a new doo from your hair wizard will cure your blues?

Speakerphone in public. Fuck you.

I got on my soapbox and wrote all this out, but then felt it would gum up the Art thread, so only posted the very first part of it there.  Apparently, I cannot allow this sleeping dog to lie, so am posting it in its entirety here, where it will be less in the way but still get it out of my system.

I have no idea what it was, I do know what it was NOT, the Air Force said it was a C130 on a secret mission over our valley. LOL

Art

Aside from my serious theories about what Art saw as being possibly a "smart skinned" carbon fiber rigid dirigible capable of transporting, deploying, and refueling VTOL aircraft (that is to say, truly an "aircraft carrier aircraft") ...

((Look! helicopters are coming out of that black triangle's center hole...))

My next best guess is that it is Paul from the future and he was/will be operating absolutely one hell of a time travel capable drone and was/will be messing with Art. Heh.

(soapbox begins here)

Regarding the comment that questioned the veracity of Art's account:

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and everyone is welcome to start specific topics on a whim. I may be wrong, but I believe I started a topic and a poll no less, waaaaay back, asking what other bellgabbers thought/believed about Art's sighting.

The key to navigating Bellgab (or life for that matter) is knowing where and when to post your opinion. Art has made it clear he has the skin of a wild boar (who regularly dines on Kevlar) so no damage there. Of that, I'm sure.

But I, as a fan visiting this site, do become annoyed at anyone apparently attempting to publicly tear down one's god(s) on this PARTICULAR and VERY specific thread, not merely by opining Art's account was a mere PR stunt, but also (perhaps more shockingly) in the same post either A) elevating Dave to Art's level or B) bringing Art down to Dave's level.   That's simply unacceptable to me.  Not unacceptable as one's opinion, mind you (though such a comparison on the grounds of both being "entertainers" remains incomprehensible to me), but unacceptable as an opinion to be posted ~here.~ (on Art's thread)

Dave lies every day. Foremost, to himself I think.

However, I as a Dave fan would never visit a dedicated Davegab site and post that I believed Dave was being less than factual about his aunt or exercise or turmeric or whatever my opinion was... assuming I were a Dave fan in the first place.

If I were a narcissist or a non-Dave fan, I might visit such a thread, register, and within mere days of registering at Davegab, and in a thread I knew Dave actually hung out, indirectly call him out on something in some attempt to virtually elevate myself or put him down on a thread dedicated to him. Or maybe simply to bait other Davegab members in order to get a kick out of creating subtle discord.

If I suffered from malignant narcissism, I wouldn't even be able to discern what the big deal was in doing so and then glibly state that any forum activity is good forum activity, and damn the thread's intent.
