Okay, I can't refute the inside information you apparently have on Trump's intentions to capitalize on his office.  It's obvious that this 70+ individual needs the money and is only in the White House to benefit himself and his family.  That would explain why he is pissing off the monied interest that supported Obama and Hilliary with his executive orders.

Cute. You know the phrase; "Too much is never enough"?

Anyone who thinks Trump isn't a self obsessed, narcissist who only thinks about how he is viewed and how he can profit is deluded. Still. Give him another week, by which time the Russian FSB will know exactly what their officers told Chris Steele. Well, when I say officers; one was found in the trunk of  a car after suffering a heart attack apparently. Happens all the time. Heart attack on the way, get in the trunk.

Relevance? One was head of cyber surveiliance; the other one tasked with finding moles. Both clearly have been straying off the memo. :)

Let us hope that Comrade Trump the dictator doesn't include non Muslim countries to his ban list. As it stands family members and employees of US companies can't return to their homes. Even though they have green cards and visas.

Still; its only lives. Nothing important.

Edit: So far only Iran has put a travel ban on Americans going to their country. That could extend.

Fuck em!  Let 'em eat cake.

This ban on people from Trump's chosen few Muslim countries "because of 9/11"; doesn't include Saudi Arabia. In fact non of the countries listed have been known to export one terrorist who has attacked the USA. Turkey, SA, UEA and Egypt all have. But they're not on the banning list; Coincidentally all four have Trump constructions going on, or are about to. Course he's looking after the USA, course he is!!

Jeeeze. If he told you that his shit was toothpaste, some of you would believe him.

Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Iraq - there is no way in hell anyone from these countries should be coming here, period.  This is where ISIS and the worst of the other terror groups are currently operating.  How can they possibly be vetted?  What is the upside for our country?

Sudan, just because.  That government is horrible, they export and support terrorism, and have an appalling human rights record.  We have very little to do with them anyway, other than send UN ''peacekeeper'' troops to help protect the people of Darfur/South Sudan.  Any list like this should include Sudan.

Iran.  Iran needs to understand the Obama opening is over.  They have kidnapped members of our military, they've kidnapped American citizens and held them for ransom, they've harassed and fired on our ships in international waters.  This is their wake up call - they should heed it.

There aren't any ISIS members waiting to blend in with refugees coming to the US from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, or UAE, as far as I know.

There are a few other countries that ought to be on the list.  Pakistan, Afghanistan, certain areas like the Boko-Harem controlled northeast Nigeria, areas of the Maghreb controlled by ISIS, Chechnya.

Fake news has been with us for well over a century, and we should always be watching out for it. Maybe you've heard of William Randolph Hearst. What's new is people using the term to describe any story with which they disagree.

A major difference is it's now completely one sided for the Democrats.  It used to be various media outlets held various opinions across the spectrum.  There were multiple major papers in the cities and most towns.

People are tired of it.  Tired of the influence it has on society, tired of the influence it has on elections.

It's great that it's finally now been widely exposed.  We should keep the pressure on.

Well, your attitude has changed. Lol.. When Obama was POTUS, you wanted SA and pretty much all arab countries dropped from the welcome list.

Oh, they're still the enemy.

I think we should do what's best for us, and right now that's remaining engaged with them.  One difference is we couldn't trust Obama's judgment in dealing with them, or any of the others.

As long as you don't complain the gesture is reciprocated. Especially in oil producing countries. :)

A few of Trump's SA friends-

Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a former minister in the Saudi government, and member of the Saudi royal family, reportedly lives in a floor-through Trump Tower apartment. Other former Trump property tenants include Prince Nawaf bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, a Saudi royal family member who owned a 10,500 sq. foot (975 sq. meter) condo at the Heritage at Trump Place that went on sale in 2016 for $48.5 million.

Prince Alwaleed. When Trump’s businesses empire crumbled in the 1990s, the high profile Saudi prince, known for investments from Citigroup to Hyundai, agreed to take majority control of New York’s Plaza hotel, giving Trump “more breathing room with bank creditors,” as The New York Times wrote in 1995. Four years earlier, Alwaleed purchased Trump’s nearly 300 foot yacht for $18 million as his Atlantic City casinos struggled.

The prince and the Donald had a public Twitter spat last summer. They've since kissed and made up, but not before Alwaleed had to remind him he'd bailed his ass out two times.

Owing to his total narcissism and sociopathy how can you believe Trump would be beholden to anybody.  What's your point?

I'm sure he felt he had to say that because he just wants in. That was my impression. Not that he seemed like a terrorist or anything.

Can you give us a better argument for the government financially supporting the National Endowment for the Arts and for financially supporting NPR other than a picture?
I know you low IQ libs love pictures to explain your positions, but why not give it a try in word form!

Consuming the kinds of quality programing that Public Broadcasting typically offers helps growing minds to develope *Inferential Thinking* skills -- and as you know (and your need to inquire further here demonstrates), "inferring" is the bedrock of comprehension".

You are an obvious product of PBS programming which even the most casual observer can see slants towards the left in their news and opinion programs.   Other than the McLaughlin Report  (which is no more due to the death of the host) please advise me of one program in that category that even entertains conservative views.  PBSs presentatation of the arts is peerless but the rest is not worthy of being called objective information.

The more you struggle, the more apparent your transparent shillery becomes. Care for some tea, mate?

The Wassermann test or Wassermann reaction (WR) is an antibody test for syphilis, named after the bacteriologist August Paul von Wassermann, based on complement-fixation.

Somehow an appropriate association for Debbie.

I have heard this from conservatives for many years, but every time I have listened to NPR it seems so milquetoast.
Could you provide links to specific examples of this liberal NPR bias?

Not until you answer my question.  Okay just one until you answer my question at which time I will swamp you with links.

I really must complain about the quality of the comments of the loyal opposition on this thread of late.  Your argumentation is stale, redundant and counter factual.  I could argue against my own positions much more effectively than you do.  Attaching hyperlinks to dubious sources is in no way martialing the facts to support your arguments which invariably travel in concentric circles until you end up with your head planted firmly up your ass.  With a few exceptions you are boring the shit out of me.

Media Research Center is a conservative site owned by Brent Bozell.
I got enough of him when he was railing against professional wrestling.
Bozell never saw a microphone he didn't like.
You state that you'll swamp me with links, if they're of Bozell's ilk you can just go ahead and drain that swamp yourself.
I can't give you a link to an NPR show that "entertains conservative views" because I don't closely follow their shows.
But when I have, I have heard them bring guests with opposing views on to debate.

Every once in awhile there's something I decide to watch on PBS.  Invariably it's been put on to fundraise, and they have 20 minutes of begging for money - all the while bragging about not having commercials.

From time to time I'm trapped in someone else's car, or the dentist's office, and NPR is on.  Don't mind me while I sit here with my ears bleeding.  Brutal.

It PBS and NPR are so worthy, let them go out and make it on their own.  By either selling commercials like everyone else, or making it on donations.  We don't need government news and other programming.  Certainly when it's just another mouthpiece of the Party of Government.

Drain the swamp.  Yes we can.

I guess Ann Donnelly decided to take herself out of the running for the Supreme Court

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortneyobrien/2017/01/28/judge-orders-release-of-detained-refugees-at-jfk-n2278050

The Supreme Court was clear in ruling FOR Obama - the ruling was incorrect, but it IS current law - they ruled the president has full latitude in creating new law and ignoring existing law when it comes to immigration.  Their rulings made it crystal clear only the president is in charge of enforcing or not enforcing immigration law.

We can't have these phony judges making rulings based on which party is in office, and whether they personally like the decisions made - if these people are released and cleared through customs, Trump ought to have them detained as soon as they come through.

What standing does this judge have to even hear these cases?  What Constitutional role does the judiciary have in immigration issues?  These people are not US citizens, and they are not on US soil until they clear customs.  Trump ought to have the judge arrested, and the Congress impeach and remove her.

Okay, that is PBS sure, but I watched PBS with my nephew.  Nothing on PBS or PBS for Kids, is exclusive in terms of helping growing minds.  Certainly "growing minds" were allowed to grow before PBS, and the vast majority of time my nephew learns in other ways outside of watching TV.

So, what is your defense against NPR and National Endowment for the Arts then?  I hope it is better than PBS.
