If Flynn had been charged back at the beginning of January, tying up a prosection lawyer team, they wouldn't be dealing with what is likely to come in the coming weeks and months. I don't think anyone has said conclusively that he broke the law, they are saying that it's a possibility pending further investigation. Obama has always been safety-first anyway, and he wouldn't dive into something unless it was iron-clad, especially during an election.

You don't think that the alphabet soup spooks own Trump lock, stock and barrel?  They record EVERYTHING that every citizen has done for the last decade.  Every phone call and email.  And you don't think that once he was the president elect that somebody went through them and heard every shady dealing and every illegal bribe to a foreign official and his banking info looking for transactions and where they came from and went?  You seriously don't think that they spent thousands of hours to know every skeleton in his closet?

Look at the history of those agencies going back to the files that Hoover kept and tell me that you honestly believe that there is not a massive file on him... Now tell me again how he is free and beholden to nobody.

You've missed my point.  I am not talking about possible involvement in other crimes here. I'm talking about the person or persons responsible for a security bust.  Those who had access to the report should have been kept to "need to know" and therefore should be few in number.  They will sweat everyone involved and the truth will out.

At the moment, Trump supporters are prepared to brush almost anything away, because they think he's on their side; that's as ideological as it gets. If the intelligence agencies bring things to Trump and he ignores them, what then? Nobody has made anything up, it was Flynn who tripped over his shoes.
