Here is the link to the data they mined to come up with the 72. I am not going to go through the whole thing, but there is no info in the report to lend credence to the comment that these all happened before 9/11.

There are plenty of entries for those 7 countries that have charge dates past 2011. Look at lines 41 and 48 for examples.

Hard to believe these charges weren't filed for over 10 years. I didn't see a column for the date of the offense.

I think even more interesting are the numbers convicted who are from Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Australia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Not to mention those from The USA.

Nope; I'm not. I'm pointing out how Trump has obviously copied Obama's sanctions because he and his circus havn't done his homework; and they're not smart enough to do so. For God's sakes. Over the course of 4 decades these are blips! And it's Berkeley ffs, a college town, and not just any college town. With it's history what else would you expect? This a _very_ big country -- the scale and "threat" (of post-60's) Berkeley has been virtually insignificant. The "mighty" impact of the goings-on in Berkeley were so insignificant you couldn't even feel it 10 miles away across the bay. If you watched the news footage of the SF quake in 1989 you would have thought the entire city was engulfed by fire. It was literally a few buildings in the Marina district.

But they were. Go look at the facts rather than what Trump and Spicer are spouting. It takes years for a potential immigrant or refugee to get into the USA; it has (and did well before Trump took office) the most stringent immigration protocol in the world.

Just because Trump made chaos for a week in US airports didn't prove his point. All it did was piss off a lot of legitimate passengers, and residents, no doubt including the NSA officers who weren't told this was being put in place until it happened.

I mentioned that I served with Brit military officers and other ranks and had dealings with them on a daily basis for three years.   I also enjoyed socializing with them not only during happy hours and parties but at dinners in my home and in theirs.  I have also spent time with Brit AF personnel in other settings such as the British Embassy in Washington, the Admiralty in London and several other places in the U.K. and Europe.  For the most part I was impressed with their urbanity, intelligence and professionalism.

I think it's fair to say that I have had the pleasure of knowing some of your best and brightest.  In the many verbal and written exchanges I have had with my Brit colleagues, I have never heard one use the pretentious style and affected tone that you most often use.  Moreover, none of them cycled between being a pedantic tight ass on the one hand and a thuggish Birmingham City fan on the other even when they  were shit faced.   While allowing for the nature of this forum, I can't escape the impression that you are one who is trying too hard to sound very British and very intellectual and in so doing come off like some bilious character out of a P.G. Wodehouse novel.  I think my Brit friends would refer to you as a "Cod."  Consider this constructive criticism.
