i had no idea the documentary existed until a friend told me about it recently.  one of the best i've seen in a while.  i can't believe they got that much access to baker.

The drugs they are speculating about regarding Prince's death is Percocet, a prescription painkiller.   Prince may have used coke and other  illegal drugs way back in the 80's but he's been a JW for years now.

Most likely Prince had really bad back pain and was using Percocet to alleviate it.  He may have been hooked on it and took too many.

If reports are true of him receiving Narcan after the emergency landing, followed by four trips to the pharmacy in less than a week, this should have raised red flags among those closest to him.  But then again, celebrities are often surrounded by paid enablers and hangers on. Whether the reported OD was accidental or intentional, we may never know. 

One's faith may offer some level of support, but it's no magical protection against the monster of drug or alcohol addiction.  Growing numbers of ordinary people OD daily.  While some folks find it hard to accept that Prince--or any celebrity, should die in such a prosaic manner, it is not surprising.  As was suggested, Prince may have been medicating for chronic pain, but there are increasing numbers of people using highly potent pain medication inappropriately to treat their emotional suffering.  I think the fact that he died alone is especially poignant.

Watched it tonight. Absolutely fantastic. This guy is one for the ages, an authentic madman and genius, sometimes crap human being. I don't know if he'll ever play a jazz club in NYC again, but if he does, I'm going.

So Prince died. Which meant every single one of my "friends" on facebook had to leave their condolences on my fb feed, even though none of them have even heard of the guy. I don't remember one person ever posting a Prince song on facebook. Even family members, which I know for sure don't listen to Prince, were crying over the guy.
It's annoying. I'm going to start posting random stranger's obits on my facebook just to prove a point.

Bizarre. I find it odd that some apparent junkie, according to reports, gets an autopsy- which will take days- and much media attention and speculation, but a Supreme Court Justice doesn't? Sure very talented, and strange, guy, and any death is bad, even if self-induced, but still? Priorities. He also talked about chemtrails, everyone is an indentured servant, and various other conspiracy minded stuff.

I don't think he was a junkie.  He had back problems and had hip replacement surgery.  Probably got addicted to the percocet that was prescribed to him for the pain.  That can happen to anybody.

Eric Brown was probably the type of man who would recoil in horror at the thought of modern celebrity. I'm sure he had too much class and dignity for that. It's a sad truth that the people who make enormous sacrifices are often the ones society doesn't  honor enough, but they are remembered by the ones whose good opinions would mean the most to them.
