Ian already told on the air his reason for having to stop all radio hosting, its due to his tinnitus health problem being worse when he does radio broadcasting.

This has been a pretty good show. I prefer Knapp to Punnett, but I'm going to be sorry to see Ian go.

There's still 5 minutes to go, but it's a major upset that none of these Noorified callers have asked an Indiana Jones or Hogan's Heroes question yet. Though some have come awfully close...

I noticed the same thing, Eddie.  It struck me that these callers must be listening because they know it's an Ian night.  The regular Noory/Wells crowd seem to have gone to bed with the chickens.  :)

;D   The typical Noory listener would have been asking things such as "what did Col. Klink do after the war?" or "did Indiana Jones really make a difference in WWII?"  Noory would have been sleeping through most it or adding to the stupidity with "why didn't the Japanese turn back the invasion of Normandy?" ::)

Its 4 years too late if he thinks he will get away with that excuse.

I've been conditioned by the horrifying inanity and ignorance of the Noory callers(who get their info from Hollywood productions of fiction) and Wells callers (every little thing= false flag) that I honestly can't listen to their questions. I'll turn the radio down for 20-30 seconds, hope they're done, and deduce what was asked from hearing the (attempted) answer.

I foresaw trouble when the first few questions were from callers referencing two books(Ratline and Target: Patton) that, having read them, I can assure you were full of dubious assertions, flimsy hearsay and outright bullshit. Ratline's author, Peter Levenda, makes Dan Brown look like Malcom Muggeridge. So I became rather pessimistic about what was coming after hearing those first few calls...but apparently it didn't get worse.

Let's just hope Knapp gets the second sunday, not the other two jackasses.

I too enjoyed last night's show. Ian was engaging with his questions, obviously showing a lot of interest and excitement about the topic, unlike Noory on most occasions with his guests. I'll miss Ian.

So nothing has been officially announced yet by PremRat as to who's taking over for Punnett?  It would be at least a small victory for intelligent radio if Knapp were to take over but I'll be very surprised if we're that fortunate.  I'm guessing it'll be The Mothership Monster, unfortunately.  Oh joy, two nights in a row of bass buffoonery.  :P

Considering how that ship is run...a Noory-Wells tag team could replace Ian. I expect the worst and won't be disappointed. Knapp is the next to get the gate, anyhow.

Hopefully they're not grooming Alex Jones for the job.

Why would Knapp want to be associated with C2C any more than he is now?  Knapp is quick and bright, has an engaging radio manner, obviously does his 'homework' on guests and subject matter, and knows how to pick good tunes for the bumpers ....

I don't think Knapp will want his name and reputation associated with Larry, Curly, and Moe ......

C2C is the dead skunk on the road ......

Let me guess.
Noory has to be Curly.  Moe.. Ian I guess because he was the smart one, though I hate to lump Ian in with this mess.  That would leave Wells as Larry.

Joining Ian Punnett, journalist specializing in military affairs, Steven Harding, will discuss what happened when U.S. and German soldiers joined forces in the waning hours of World War II.
First Hour: Theology expert Margaret Barker talks about temple mysticism, which was rooted in the cult of the first temple in ancient Jerusalem, and sheds light on the origins of Christianity.
And lets not forget Howard Bloom, defender and champion of wikileaks poster boy, Bradley Manning.  Kudos to Ian for pointing out that PFC Manning had voluntarily joined the  m i l i t a r y.  Its  d i f f e r e n t.  If you run afoul of its rules  l i f e   w i l l   s u c k.  More codices talk with Mrs Barker.  The Steven Harding segment rocked.  Because I had never heard of the incident before and it was fascinating in its human drama.  Because Ian refuses to shovel the same crap from one hole to the other.  Except for the codices thing.  He does that a lot.  Maybe he personally invested in the whole expedition.  No matter.  One of his best shows.  Up there with the Last Train from Hiroshima.  And Sea Sludge.  And How to Join The French Foreign Legion.  Shame on the shameless hack George "How many?  In terms of numbers" Noory.  The master is leaving the building.

Granted.  But it's the military, and the NSA, who continually break civil rights barriers with their constant information gathering.  New bugs, viruses, tech, etc.  Why?  Nothing to do with the "War on Terror".  We all know what its really geared toward.   Besides, its not like I can get a job at Macy's that will allow me access to the latest machinations of the security industrial complex, is it?

No, but the hiring process would certainly make it seem like you were applying for such a job. Hell, shoveling shit from one side to the other requires 5 references and a background check of your ancestors going back 200 years.

I'd like to nominate Edward Snowden and Bradley Manning to share this year's Nobel Peace Prize. They have certainly done more for the world than the fraud Al Gore or Barack Obama.

Histronic Fop

For Father's Day, I got my dad a copy of The Last Battle, based primarily on IP's interview last Sunday with author Stephen Harding.

Noory has never talked about one damn thing I'd go out and buy.

From the C2C website today:
Live Chat tonight with Ian Punnett Coast Insiders, don't miss our 'farewell' Live Chat with Ian Punnett, tonight at 8p PT/11p ET.  Ian is retiring from regular Coast hosting in July.

Rocker107

I heard an interesting thing on KFI last Sunday on the Wayne Resnick Show. The traffic reporter/news guy was telling Wayne that he was talking with Ian and Ian says hello. Wayne then asked him what the reason was for Ian leaving coast and does it have to do with his tinnitus? He then  tells Wayne, "let's just say it's under wraps". Why would he say it's under wraps when Ian has already stated on the air that his tinnitus was the reason for leaving?

b_dubb

Ian posted an odd pic of himself on twitter with a telephone wrapped to his ear with plastic wrap. I think he's maybe having a procedure done? Maybe?

popple

He said it was under wraps. The phone was wrapped.

OMFG  ART HAS STOLEN HIM AWAY FOR A NEW SHOW!!!!!!! YES? YES? YES? :o

b_dubb

Uhhhh Ian is doing a post doc in ... the Southwest. Art is in the Southwest. I believe it's time to change my pants
