Coronavirus 2020

WOTR

The good doctor is finally starting to catch up with old WOTR. For months I have been advocating a full face respirator (including eye coverage) as well as gloves and a hazmat suit.

Want to guess what announcement is next? (Hint: Time to buy stock in Tyvek.)

DuPont stock, you mean. And regular Tyvek isn't sufficient as I've documented months ago. However the suits are still hard to find (painters etc are bitching about this.) DuPontâ,,¢ Tychem® RESPONDER® is the suit you want for Ebola, Corona-Chan, etc. My only problem is lack of peripheral vision, gloves need modification for ability to fire properly against enemies/mutants/rioters. Option is to remove trigger guard on weapon. I also object to the red "target" on the suit!

I swear each morning I wake up and think to myself "Well at least it can't get any weirder"
I am wrong.  Each and every damn day.
Social distance, because we are all in this together. As Hunter would FIFY "wake up and drink by myself" because it is going to get weirder....

It's really bad in the valley area, Harlingen, etc. now, which is heavily Hispanic, and in the metros (Dallas, Houston, etc.) it's lessened some but is mainly hitting minorities and younguns.  Corona Chan no longer abides.
Port A apparently now as an 8:30 curfew. Bars closed. And no more driving on beach. But 'orders' end Aug 1st (unless they are extended.) Know folks heading down to go fishing and hoping Port Corona-Chan, as we are calling it these days,  will 'open up' for them.  :o

Now you are going to send me on a wild goose chase. I'm trying to recall what suit I was looking at two years back when I was stuck doing some work with shitty chemicals. I seem to recall that it was around $1000. Just about bought it before deciding to go with a case or two of the 4000 series as the protection offered was "good enough." (maybe it was the 5000 series?)

Next year there is a good chance I will be back to those chemicals and this time they can buy the better suit if I'm going to spend my summer pissing around with toxic / hazardous shit... But I think your choice is closer to $5000.

*I know... you are going to ask how I can put a price on avoiding the dreaded Corona-Chan... But I find if you shoot people before they get within 50 feet that you are generally safe.  ;)

Obviously a pagan priest of Dagon so yeah burn that heathen wretch.  But he looks like he might be cute peeking out underneath there so I'll just put it in the back yard for safe-keeping.

Ha!  I'll stick to my favored Matiz sardinillas to stay safe.  In these "troubled times." ;)

Is that a statue of a man wearing a fish or a fish wearing a man?

Either or.  It'll look good in Dubb's back yard.  Big question is if it goes in the corner, by the pool or in the pool.

Asuka Langley

My uncle was one of the unlucky 0.02%, he died from Covid-19 please pray 4 him

So sorry.  :'(   At least they saved plenty of Uncle Langley's jizz.

Well shit.  An item on my Things To Do List was to take a Hurtigruten cruise up Norway way. Think they just started back up cruising and shutdown already with infected crew.  How much longer can they stay in business?

Was down at the Food Lion this AM, picking up sustenance and saw a guy take off his mask, sneeze and then put it back on.
What a mask hole, eh?

And by "picking up sustenance" I assume you mean Hamm's.

My favorite was a guy who took off his mask to talk on his w his cell phone when it rang.  He put the mask in his mouth to hold it as he frisked himself looking for his phone.

Don't forget the sardines.  A true BellGabber cannot thrive on Hamm's alone.  A balanced BG diet should include many tins of sardines, freshly harvested basement rats, Hamm's, and the occasional shot of fine bourbon.  I'll leave it to Dr. Pate to define "occasional" and shot size.

My favorites are the morons who don't cover their nose with a mask.  They'll wear a mask just over their mouth and leave their honker fully exposed for heavy breathing.  No wonder the elitists think we're all idiots.

Why yes.  The "Beer Refreshing" happened to be in the cart.

It is great with eggs BTW:

From my time of living like Mr. Senda.  It was an interesting 7 days.

THAT is a breakfast of champions. Not some wheat cereal that apparently turns you from an award winning Olympic athlete into a gender-changing tabloid celebrity.

Back to the masks. I noticed that the only people wearing masks at the club was staff- most of whom are young and healthy and apparently less likely to catch Corona-Chan or have bad symptoms. But plenty of golf playing fat guys without masks and older ladies enjoying lemonade or drinks after tennis without masks. The only player I saw in mask was a guy who is ex-Army and was solo in his cart. Again a young, fit person wearing the masks but the upper middle-age guys ,who could stand to lose some some lbs by walking instead- sharing a cart weren't. The bar and patio area had the tables "distanced" but people setting at them were close and unmasked.

Saw a group of about 8 teens playing soccer in their front yard. No masks, close contact. Hispanic kids doing some cool soccer skills. Passing by was a lady driving by in her SVU, alone, wearing a mask.
