Welcome back you slack-jawed Maga chud I got a skateboard with your name on it!

Sorry but I don’t skateboard and I’m not a fascist. Glad to see you’re still having fun LARPing as a revolutionary though. Stick it to da man!

They’ll never take me alive.  ;)

I’m still here. I’ve just been extremely busy lately. I try to read some throughout the week but it’s been hard to keep up with all the MITD drama these days. I never seem to find enought time to keep up reading and posting on weekdays. So, for now Fridays and Saturdays will be all I’ll have time for. I do miss you guys though and have been Jonesing for BG all week!  :P

Glad that is all it was.  We had marked you down with Corona-Chan, stuffed in a store room somewheres with a tube down your throat and hooked up to a GM Chevy Ventilator while some admin somewhere was figuring out which Chris-Craft he was gonna put that 43 Grand towards.

Probably an accurate assesment for anyone getting caught up in this nonsense. I’m really starting to believe they’re putting people on vents to kill them, not make them better. If I did come down with this I’d much rather take my chances with drug therapies than ventilators. Anyway, other than being a bit tired from being so busy I’ve never felt better. Thanks for your concern, all. :)

My condolences your demise was exaggerated.

Drug therapies?  D3, tonic water, melatonin, and toomerick.

The most promising so far for this: Vitamin D, Zinc, hydrochloroquine, Azithromax and there’s one other drug that I can’t remember the name of right now.

Lysergic acid diethylamide-25. Available in civilized dimensions everywhere.

Some assembly required. And calling it a drug is racism.

A Doc at UMMC in Houston recommends methyl prednisone (steroid), vitamin C, thiamine, Heparin (blood thinner), zinc, and melatonin.  I still like 'ol Ben's advice, though.

I haven't spoken with him yet and so this is second hand via txts but I know someone who 'tested positive.' It took almost 2 weeks to get results back. The only symptom (and why he got the test) was he lost his sense of smell/taste and had slight cold-like symptoms. Self-quarantined but was doing that anyway, basically. He has since recovered his sense of smell/taste and no more cold symptoms. No hospitalization or drugs. I don't know if he took the PCR, antigen, or antibody test. But healthy guy in early 30's.

Good news here.  To be honest I was skeptical that there would be an effective vaccine for Corona-Chan but it looks like that maginificent bastard S.V. has done it.  Antibodies up.  T-Cells up.   September ETA!?!

Hopes for a coronavirus vaccine this year have been boosted by a reported breakthrough in Oxford's human trials
https://news.yahoo.com/hopes-coronavirus-vaccine-boosted-reported-115924064.html

Well WAN, you asshole, I'll counter your optimistic post on a vaccine with this depressing one.

With coronavirus antibodies fading fast, vaccine hopes fade, too

Quote90% exhibited sharp declines in the number of antibodies within two to three months after infection.

Why?

Because.  *mic-drop*

I appreciate your concern Pate.  I truly do.  It is just the confusion and turmoil that lead to these self arguments.  Early on with the People's Republic of China absolutely going ape shit [locking hundreds of millions down, welding mo fo's into their apartments, blocking roads] our vaunted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told us the risk to the United States was low even though common sense dictated that wasn't the case.  Now we got 140,000 dead Americans.  When things inevitably kicked off the Surgeon General of the United States emphatically told us to stop buying masks.  Now you get shouted down if you don't have one.  Then for awhile protesters were maligned as "biological terrorists" whom should be denied medical treatment but then protesters became good and of course should given all the treatment they need for free.  On a Friday things look on track for a safe and effective vaccine and on a Saturday, well the outlook is so grim the vaccine work should be scrapped and all efforts placed on treatments.

The way the news sounds, Texas is basically a funeral pyre just ate up with virus and full of dead bodies.  Meanwhile, Mrs. WAN, who works with anti-virals, busted her ass to help get one approved for clinical trials and in 6 weeks of availability has had one person enrolled because they can't find enough sick people.

The whole thing is bizarre.

If Albrecht knows someone who had Corona Chan, I'd say it's "game over" for the Lone Star state.  We need to sign up Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger again to save our briskets.

I was pondering Chuck Norris and ninjitsu earlier.  I found it fascinating to think that he invented The Art shortly after he completed his time machine.  After he simultaneously became, the first, last and only true ninja the universe was created, ran its course and imploded.  We live in the aftermath.

My head exploded, by thinking thus... I believe I may have been round-house kicked in the back of the head in my own failed attempt at learning the art.

I am still reeling from this, but wished to share the experience.

They say the state is overrun but I only know one person who has had it. Knock on wood. And for him it was nothing worse than a mild cold and loss of smell/taste. No hospital stays, bad fevers, diarrhea, cough, weakness, disorientation, and all the other symptoms they keep adding to the list. Why the PCR test takes two weeks to get results? He felt better before he even got the test back. So the testing system is screwed up.

I'm not clear. Shouldn't a person have another PCR test showing "negative" before he reenters society? Even if he is "over it and feeling better?

Meanwhile some people are having graduation parties, family ones but especially high school kids on their own. I'm sure they distanced just as they assure that there is no alcohol or drug use.  Apparently they cleverly use apps to hide the location until last minute and pool money online for booze, rent areas, etc. Clever.  But most seem to be masking, distancing, or doing these bizarre 'drive by' graduation parties, baby showers, etc. I joked about wearing bandanas and doing drive-bys. I also said "it looks more like a funeral procession. Than a baby shower." The mom-to-be didn't like my jokes.

Now they are saying 6. Earlier I heard 13. And one article I've seen says something upwards of 30+ strains.
https://news.yahoo.com/scientists-identify-six-different-types-185531392.html

ps: Corona-Chan stress dream? Or some enchiladas that set heavy? It involved a hybrid Grizzly-Black bear that I managed to outwit, temporarily, and lock in a room but it was roaring and breaking down door. In my dream I was wondering if I should just run away out of the house or if I should climb on the roof and shoot it to protect other people. The dream also involved finding a two birds that somehow their wings were intertwined and so they could not fly. They were white pigeons/doves. I held their other wings and someone cut the knot and separated the bird who flew off. He handed me the rag he had used to staunch the blood when cutting the wings and it was bloody and some kind of tumor-like thing. I opened the rag to look at it split open and thousands, or more, tiny little birds flew out filling the room, wheeling around. Very strange.

Wow.  Let us know when you're Noory's guest.  And make sure Tommee plays ONLY ToadJo approved, non-misogynist bumpers when you're on.  I'm looking forward to hearing Helen Reddy belt out "I am Wo-man, hear me roar" 6 times in a row.

I think you can still spread it even "if you're feeling better."  And if the antibodies fade shortly after having it, do you "rinse and repeat" ad infinitum, unless you've croaked?  Or can you evolve into a non-asymptomatic super spreader?  Either this is the most devilish thing to emerge from Chinese Commie heaven or the fake news is in overdrive.

What I found most frightening about Chuck, was that he had/did/will have the ability to become the first ninja master, take himself as an apprentice who then battled the future Chuck Norris who had yet to invent the time machine and ninjitsu, but was somehow even though HE did not know it yet the last ninja (this is future Chuck Norris before the time machine).  It is mind boggling.  Three separate and distinct Chuck Norrii, who were the same, yet different.  Self-taught/ apprentice /master...

It is difficult to understand, but that is the nature of Chuck.  So ninja.

Little frightens me in this world, top of the list is Chuck Norris/ninja.

I hope this does not upset Chuck, I cannot afford to "foot" the bill of his round-house kick to my head.
