Okay, I get it. I've seen the exact same things happen in the music industry, the art world and just about any other field. The establishment has them all tied up and make it extremely difficult for anyone to make their mark without playing nicey nice with them.

When it comes down to it, that's the real drawl for Trump. Those of us who know that the status quo must be broken for we regular people to get anywhere. All many of us are trying to do is survive and it's getting harder and harder every day.

Yeah, it's the same thing that's been happening everywhere. The cause and the backlash are both full of it and highly politicized.

Is there any subject under the sun you won't pontificate upon? You should be called The Great Pontificator. Why are you always so desperate to impress?

I'm certainly under no illusion as to Trump's qualifications to be PotUS, but I seriously doubt he has any less understanding of nuclear weapons and their deployment than any other president save for Jimmy Carter at the time of their presidential campaigns.

I'm not an expert on nukes, but I have personal experiences that illustrate why amateurs talk weapons/tactics, but military professionals talk logisitics.  The finest, most advanced weapon systems in the world are, or at least will eventually be, worthless without suitable spares, usuable up-to-date tech data, support equipment, and competent maintainers.  In the case of the US nuclear deterrent, the "infrastructure" as described by the NYT article has indeed aged greatly.  I'm not as confident as you seem to be we are moderinizing the deterrent, at least under the current administration, but either way we are probably not going to know.

I'm certain that Trump is the most ignorant major presidential candidate ever when it comes to nuclear weapons. For starters, many of his predecessors had served in the military. If you were, say, a fighter pilot like John McCain or George W., you at least knew what the nuclear triad was, even if you couldn't properly pronounce "nuclear."

The other candidates were at least known to read. Read. Books, newspapers, magazines, all kinds of stuff including stuff about military matters and strategic doctrine.

On the infrastructure front, we're set to replace the Ohio-class subs in plenty of time, we have a new long-range bomber on schedule, so far, to supplement and replace the B-2, and the groundwork for replacing our ICBMs is done. We just need the cash to be allocated.

Meanwhile, as I said in a previous post, our ABM capability is unmatched and improving all the time. I think that capability will be increasingly important.

Well you're probably as much of a hack as L.Ron, and apparently as much of a megalomaniacal douchebag.

Was he? Just seems like a guy that figured out how to invent a fictional religion and milk it. Not a fan of his sci fi, or religions, but he knew how to make a buck.

Very nice.

Some/most of the girls here don't shave their armpits.
Just look at her hair and imagine how beautiful armpit hair she has, never mind on her pussy.
Believe me armpit hairs can be very stimulating :o

Ah, the European look back in the day. Speaking of low-country style, I'm all for these bike lanes my local government insists on buying but only if they aren't used by Lance Armstrong wanna-bes in spandex but gals in skirts and loose blouses. Sexist comment, sorry, but if we insist on spending millions there should be some benefit for those of us in cars and trucks stuck in traffic. Nobody legit, except maybe some dotcom type with very flexible working hours and a shower at his office and lives close is going to commute to work by bike.

Thank god real film makers like Werner Herzog, whom as I recall you hate/envy, brought cool shit like that to our attention 20 years ago. And he even included female ones from the start.

Oh I love that stuff. I've been a fan of Tuvan throat singing for years. Here's an artist from Tuva named Ondar Kongar-ol that came over to the US and did some shows with Bela Fleck and was on US television.
