I just signed up for the 30 day free trial using Art's website. I'm using a Nexus 7 tablet to listen. It was painless and seems to work the same as the PC version.

Can't wait for Monday and think Kaku makes a great first guest.

This might have already been posted but I can't keep up with all the posts. Drudge had a link to a story about Art's return. http://www.mercurynews.com/entertainment/ci_23757348/art-bell-returning-radio-sirius-show-about-paranormal

My favorite quote from the article "There's also a potential rivalry with George Noory, who replaced Bell on the syndicated show. Bell isn't a fan, saying he considers Noory "not edgy enough."

I'm mostly a lurker but have posted occasionally. I stopped listening to C2C a couple years ago. I would get so angry at Noory playing like he's a real talk radio host that I knew it was doing me no good so I quit. I listened to FineArt till it was taken off the air recently. Now I listen to Ted Talks (replays of speeches given at Ted Conferences).

I'd like to see Art come back in some form or another but I won't get my hopes up. Is he doesn't come out and say how Noory and company have ruined C2C then it would be hard for me to have respect for him. Art was never one to care if what he thought was politically correct or not and it"s time he spoke up about what Norry has done to Art's creation.

So let's take a ride Art and go all in. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

It wouldn't work for me either with Firefox. You might need a different player. I downloaded Winamp. http://www.winamp.com/media-player/en

We've got a bus load of shows that haven't been played from 2001-2010 going into the stream next week.

Good to hear! I stopped listening to Noory over a year ago. I decided that life is to short to listen to an idiot. I enjoy Fineart nightly now.

....If anybody needs anymore the guy constantly works with the Drudge Report, one of the most disreputable "news" outlets out there, even before it started becoming increasingly irrelevant....

What? Drudge Report is a news aggregation site and not a news outlet. There's no original content there. Drudge may be "increasingly irrelevant" to you but hardly to anyone else. He is second only to Google in driving traffic to real news sites. Hardly irrelevant. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/16/business/media/16carr.html

I'd ask you to explain what you mean by "he constantly works with the Drudge Report" but any answer you have would be meaningless (irrelevant) to me.

I know this has been posted before but I think it's worth posting again for those who may have missed it. Listen to what Rollye James has to say about why she left C2C.

I think George Knapp has the best intro to the show. It really sets the mood.

You're in the right place at the right time....

There's no way Noory makes millions per year and comparing him to Ryan Seacrest or Limbaugh is silly. Those guys are primetime and Noory isn't even close to being in their league.

What do you think George Knapp makes as a investigative journalist? And he says he's not interested in doing C2C fulltime because he's to busy. If the contract was millions per year, I'm sure he wouldn't be that busy.

Read this story the other day. Scary to say the least!

DENVER (AP) â€" A Mesa County deputy who grabbed a man’s testicles to subdue him was using reasonable force, even though it was unorthodox, the sheriff’s office said...Sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said Thursday the use of force was reasonable, even though it’s not part of police training. Fazio was not injured, she said.

Doug said.  “So I surrendered - I cancelled all of my AOL accounts that I’ve had for 13 years.

More proof he doesn't have a clue. Maybe they really are made for each other.

... He longs for the creepy, dark nights of C2C. He craves the action. It`s in his bones and permeates his soul.

I agree. Even though he would draw the blinds to darken the room when he did his show from Manilla, it just wasn't the same.

See the attached video - it's a creepy interview of Doug Hutchison and Courtney Alexis Stodden. She constantly makes these very weird facial gestures... like this is all about publicity, or she's high on drugs.  :o :o :o

Yeah that was just plain creepy. She brags about being a virgin but dresses like a slut. She says she's an "old soul" but acts like a immature psycho. And who would really take her claim of being religious seriously?

I googled Mitrice Richardson and read a few more accounts of what happened to her. I didn't see where they said she was drunk. She went to a restaurant and ordered a steak and a drink. The bill was $89! When she finished she told them she had no money to pay. She told restaurant employees that she was from Mars and spoke to them in a made-up language. Her odd behavior and failure to pay for a steak and a drink prompted restaurant staff to call deputies.

At a news conference the sheriff actually blamed the restaurant for calling the police and suggested that's where reform is needed. Eleven months later, her partial remains were found in a rugged area of Malibu Creek State Park. The officer who found her and removed the remains, in violation of the law, said he did so because it was getting dark and he was afraid animals would disturb the remains. She had been there for 11 months!

Her father, Michael Richardson, said his daughter suffered from bipolar disorder and was released far from home with no money, no purse, no cell phone and no car.

The poor girl obviously needed some help and didn't get any from the cops. To protect and serve? Not in this case.

Noory: What percentage of people use computers?
Kevin Mitnick: Gee I don't know George but computers are pervasive throughout society.

Noory drove me nuts last night constantly interrupting Mitnick's answers to his questions.
#19
I see that Kevin Mitnick is scheduled to be the guest on Tuesdays show with Noory. He's the infamous hacker guy. He's been on the show a couple times and I think he even guest hosted once.

It's actually painful to listen to Noory interview this guy because he knows nothing about computers, hacking etc. Tune in if you want to hear Noory at his worst.

I really enjoy netflix. No commercials and some shows are in HD. It's well worth the $7.99 I pay per month for streaming only.

I rented the first three seasons of Breaking Bad from Blockbuster and got hooked. It's in season four now and season five will be the final season. Sunday nights on AMC. If you haven't seen it yet I would highly recommend starting at the beginning. A great show!

Who's going to syndicate him? Art would probably have to take a shit deal from a shitty network. 66 year olds with his dubious history don't have much bargaining power.

What Art had circa 1996 was ideal...but in 2011, paranormal-oriented media has been dumbed down, oversaturated and increasingly banal. 9/11 made people more interested in illegal aliens than aliens...and talk radio reflects that.

I think Art could get a good deal on satellite radio and have access to a large audience. I hope he doesn't because I cancelled my subscription to XM a couple years ago and don't really want to go back.

I occasionally watch the reality show Cops on TV. Invariably you will hear the cop tell the suspect some form of "just tell me the truth or things will go bad for you."  Yeah right... Never trust a cop and keep your mouth shut.

I'm 55 yrs old  and forget how many times I've been arrested. I've been to jail in four states and have two felony convictions for possesion of marijuana. I was kind of wild when I was younger to say the least.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of 15-year old hating voices suddenly cried out "ITS A TRAP!" and were suddenly silenced.

^^^hahaha
She didn't say what she meant by hate mail but she did seem surprised. I don't think she thought to much of Noory's explanation and they just moved on.
#25
The first thing Kim Carlsberg said was that she was checking her email before the interview even started and that she was already getting hate mail. George told her that "there is haters out there and that they are 15 year old kids with nothing to do."

Noory really has a weird obsession with children.

Isn't Facebook all about posting your thoughts for the whole world to see? If he wanted to keep things private he could use other means to update family and friends. Art knows what he's doing and if he wanted privacy he knows better than to make public comments.

While the speculation about Art's future bothers some people here, I doubt very much it bothers Art at all.

Just remember the case of Fort Rock - folks shouldn't follow his bad example of leaping to incredible conclusion with near zero facts.
Its all similar to trying to read tea leaves and make forecasts from that...  :o

It's also similar to how Noory reaches his conclusions! That is creepy...

I don't know what context it was used in but corporations are people in the eyes of the law. I don't think that comment should draw laughter from a well informed audience. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_personhood

I don't think that the Premier Radio Network is going to suffer from Noory's mis-truths.  If so, Limbaugh would've bankrupted 'em long ago.

I still kind of enjoy Noory, even though my late term Bell fandom has educated me.  Unlike a lot of radio talk show hosts, at least Noory isn't seething with anger and hatred.  I therefore find him wonderful to fall asleep to.

I also give Noory a 1/2 thumb up for not running a pro-gun apology show the day that the Norwegian maniac killed all of those kids.  Formerly, the day of the VCU murders and on the day of the Giffords shooting, Noory had on 2nd Amendment fan John Lott.  I enjoy hearing Lott's arguments, but not on the day of massacres.

Who really cares if Premier suffers from Noory being an idiot? It's the listeners that suffer from the bullshit that spews from his mouth. Like Rush or not it was him who put talk radio back on the map and it's due to his show that asshole Noory even has a show.

Noory is evil.

Rush signed a 8 yr contract (45 million per year) in 2008. I don't listen to him much anymore and wouldn't be bothered if he left for a secret hideaway. I do agree that Mark Steyn is brilliant and witty!
