I've read that dreams of losing teeth relate to sexual anxiety. I don't know if dreams of sexual anxiety relate to losing teeth, though.
I usually dream of collecting teeth.  Gold fillings not necessary.

I had a period of time  in the late 90's when several times I had dreams of being in a Japanese  war prison on a Pacific Island. Every time I had the dream it started from the beginning and went up to a point. I would wake up sweating. As the 'scenario' proceeded and after several months progressed though an escape and finally recapture, beheading, and the ascension of my spirit to a wing of B-29's flying nearby.
Some months passed and a man came to our area, conducted sweat lodges , meditations and such at a friends property on Merritt Island in Florida.
My friend called and told me that the man was having a talk and meditation one night. I went. The talk was on 'past life regression' and finding if certain elements of peoples chronic situations were from some event in a previous life.
He asked me if I would be a 'subject' I agreed.
He went into his thing and brought up that I had constant problems with my neck and that they were from a beheading I suffered while a prisoner of the Japanese. He told me I had to get over that and forgive the Japanese and I would be able to alieve my chronic neck problem.. He taught me what to do with my meditations to achieve this.
I had never told anyone of my dreams  nor of my neck problems. He told me I hung out in the father of this body's B-29( A Sq. 3) during the war and returned with him at the end of his tour.
So much for that dream.

I still dream about smoking as well.

My dreams are like if you took several unrelated multi-player video games, rolled in some some random memories of my own, and smashed them all up together so you get a surreal environment of places that I've never been to but are still strangely familiar.  Sometimes people from my life show up, other times complete strangers stroll through.

They seem to not have much point as I'm usually just wandering around not getting much done, or fixating on some small detail I came across like a weird box or a door that won't open etc.  It's sounds kind of frustrating but actually mostly they're pretty cool, it's kind of like being in an impressionistic movie.  There are some very vivid places in my dreams that I could describe with great accuracy.  They almost feel real.  Once in a long while I will revisit a place I've been before.

Like you Jaz, as soon as I realize I'm dreaming I usually pop awake.  Howerver, often I have a little time before that, and in that time I believe I'm doing a kind of lucid dreaming where I have control over things alot better, like I can influence the narrative for a short time.  I've even turned some bad dreams into good ones at the closing moments by wielding this power and changing the ending to something cool.

For at least the last decade I've been dreaming in a recurring landscape - it's all rolling grassy hilltops and wooded valleys with occasional craggy/icy peaks in the distance. Often I'll glance up and recognise a mountain I climbed in a previous dream, not quite understanding that it was a dream. There is usually some sort of hotel/holiday resort type building down in the valleys - that's cause I used to work and live in hotels. Unfortunately I've recently found myself often trapped in some bizarrely huge supermarket (I work in a supermarket these days) but if I find the exit and go outside, I'm back to the hills again.
Overall I find this state of affairs acceptable.

PS as mentioned elsewhere, I also sometimes have internet dreams.

pate

I had a weird dream the other night, in one part I was playing some sort of game on my phone, (which is weird because I really only use my phone to talk to people on, not as a mobile gaming/internet/nerd-dildo type device) anyhow.  The game seemed to be somewhat like Tetris, only you could scroll to the either side if you wanted to, I think it sort of made the Tetris part of the game pointless, anyhow, then a little graphical fish came falling from the top as if it were a new Tetris piece.... I put it somewhere on the screen, and it made a little graphical ripple as if it had dropped into water.  Then a little graphical killer whale came swimming in from the edge of the screen to where the ripple was, threw out a little graphical life-saver ring thing and proceed to dive to hunt the little graphical fish...  Then, a little graphical whaling boat floated over to where the little graphical killer whale was hunting the little graphical fish next to the little graphical live-saver ring thing and started whaling operations on the killer whale...  All of this underneath some Tetris pieces on the screen...  it was bizarre enough to wake me up.

I hate it when that happens, I love the bizarre dreams like that, but I think I realize I am dreaming and can't stay asleep to witness my inner insanity....

Anyhow, I'd be interested to see what sort of implications that dream has in a 'pre-cog' fashion...   My guess is that there will be some stupid meaningless time-wasting iPhone/Smartphone game, that will crush CandyCrush out of existence and give me new reasons to hate the world...

I was listening to an Art Bell show the other day in which he mentioned that he thought that there should be some type of dream journal on the net for people to record their dreams so that we can see if there are any patterns in what people are dreaming about. I think he was looking in to it from a pre-cognitive perspective. Anyway I'm sure in the intervening years there are probably many such dream registries out there. I thought it would be interesting to see what the unique individuals at BellGab dream about on a nightly basis and form our own dream registry.

I have to weird dreams but no matter how weird or how bizarre or how implausible or improbable the situations that I am in I do not recognize that I am dreaming. When and if i ever do realize that I am in a dream I am yanked out of the dreamscape.

Lately I have also been dreaming of smoking. I have not had a cigarette in well over a year and the cravings for the most part have disappeared but lately I have a lot of dreams where I am smoking or want a smoke and then I feel shame for giving in to temptation or even having the temptation. My only issue now is that these cravings are following me into the real world and in the past week I have been having some really bad cravings for tobacco.

What are your dreams?

Hey Jaz, I once had a RAAF officer tell me Kiwis dream about sheep.  That sound right to you?

Juan

I dreamed last night that Solaris Blueraven had me tied to a chair and was firing words at me with a machine gun.  Damn that woman talks fast.

i have gotten stoned in more than a few dreams.

Me too. In the past when I used to partake and I was going through a dry patch of not being able to score. I would have dreams where there was an abundance of weed and I would try to smuggle some out of the dreamscape. Unfortunately I never found a way to achieve this.

i am almost always aware that i am dreaming and can wake myself from a dream.

I am almost never aware that I am dreaming no matter how fantastical the situation is and once I do realize that I am dreaming the dream doesn't last very long.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have never had dreams about any job that i've ever had except my military service time.

I have dreamed about the workplace and the people but never actually doing the job. I don't need to bore myself to death in a dream.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i do not dream about people i know (except my children).

I rarely dream about my family. I have occasionally dreamed of my eldest daughter but I cannot remember dreaming about my youngest. I rarely dream about my parents, brother, sister or wife and their families. I do sometimes have dreams about other people I know. I have dreamed about dead relatives 2 grandfathers and a grandmother but they never actually talk to me and if they do I cannot hear them. So much for telling me where the money is buried.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i like to dream about jumping straight up as high as i can. usually over 100 feet.

I have once or twice dreamed about being able to leap incredible heights. Unfortunately I have no control over using this ability in the dreamscape.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i do not wake from dreams where i am falling.

I have dreamed of falling in dreams. It is not pleasant.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have had dreams where the sounds in the dream were deafening. others with no sound at all.

Sound is a hard thing for me to recall in dreams. I mentioned not hearing my relatives but having said that I'm not sure how sound works in my dreams. Is there actually sound or is my mind just interpreting what I need to hear/know from speech.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have never had a dream come true. not one. not even close.

I have dreamed of things that have then happened. I don't believe they were prophetic just a matter of chance as there have been many more things that I have dreamed about that have not happened.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i can often "smell" in my dreams.

Same as my thoughts on sound.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
many times i do not "breath" in my dreams. makes underwater dreams some of the best.

I have never been aware of my ability to breathe in dreams. I don't recall having underwater dreams or floating in space but I would be open to them occurring.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have dreams of being an animal.

You may be a warg

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have used dreams to help with leaning a language.

I have never spoken another language in my dreams that I am aware of. See thoughts on sound and smell.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i am not always the same race in my dreams.

This has not happened to me. Interesting.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i am not always the same gender in my dreams.

Nor this.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i am not always the same age in my dreams.

Nor this. Then again I have been dreaming my whole life so I must have aged in my dreams as well. Jokes aside though I think I am the same age in my dreamscape as I am in real life. I rarely see myself or sense what I look like in dreams so my responses above might not be right.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i enjoy apocalyptic themed dreams.

I enjoy dreams where I am transported into a TV show that I like and interact with the characters and worlds.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i avoid dreaming about driving a car.

I hate dreams involving cars as I rarely have full control over them. That must mean something right?

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have used things in rl that were suggested in a dream.

Dreams must be good for solving problems because this has happened to me too.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have records of my dreams that go back 40 years.

I can remember dreams that I had as a child but I have never formally recorded them.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have never had a dream of New York, Iowa (who would eh) or Italy.

I too have never dreamed of Iowa. Weird.

Quote from: Evil Twin Of Zen on May 14, 2014, 04:33:05 PM
i have never wet the bed.

Guilty. It was over 35 years ago so the statute of limitations must have elapsed.

Wait, wait... are you saying that... Art Bell... knows that I even exist???

http://youtu.be/9vNDwL40Stk

Fuck lucid dreaming. My dreams have come true, whoopeee!

gnooryblows

in my dream last night, art bell was in my bedroom sitting on my bed and we were listening to george noory on coast. art was sad and shaking his head. he started to talk about how much george sucked. then somehow george telepathically overheard us and teleported himself into my bedroom with his recording studio and all. he said "fuck you america," into his microphone "I've got some shit to do now" and proceeded to confront me and bell. bell was ready to fight but and so was i. noory then started to transform into  snarling monster beast with purple fur and a purple lions mane and sharp pointed teeth. bell started to say he was worried that he was too old to fight the noorybeast but then i yelled "fuck you noory, i knew you were a phony!". then noory pounced and me and bell fought him then i woke up.

the end

this is a real dream i had last night.

gnooryblows

+ one more thing, i do not want to harm george noory but was not planning to ever post here again when i made this SN. i am in the market for another one as soon as i am able to, but for the moment this is the one that i have

Fuck you, gnmd.  I've got some shit to do now.

Jackstar

A person who has a dream like this, and then has the further wherewithal to write it down, cannot be all retarded.

I reiterate, however, death is too good for the likes of George Noory: he must be made to suffer.
