I found a hippopotamus foot bowl at a Goodwill for $4.
Who would give this away to a thrift store?  Lucky me.
I don't have a picture of it but it looks identical to these...

It probably spent it's life sitting in a crappy motel.  It works like a charm.

Cool!  For me, it's a Hans Wegner Bamsestol I spotted outside in a yard sale on the way up to Stevens Pass.  I paid $75; it's worth several thousand.

Lots of amazing 45s. That's how I usually record shop. My favorites include a double live Ella Fitzgerald album and lots of Sinatra. That radio is really cool.

I bought some sheet music a couple of years back and when I was flipping through it I found this letter from the Nazi party (notice the Heil Hitler). The letter commands someone to attend a concert.

I bought a Swiss army surplus backpack at a thrift store on Whidbey Island for $15.  I've used it every day for at least ten years and it is one of the best things I've ever bought.  Thick canvas with leather, and a cool strap that keeps it from bouncing so hard on your lower spine.  You can get them on Ebay, too.

It attaches to the backpack with the leather loops and it has the shoulder strap to carry separately. It is the same material. I got mine from Sportsman's Guide many years ago.

I think I have seen them on CheaperThanDirt as well.

My best find so far was a complete set of like-new Ping golf clubs for $2 per club at a Goodwill store. The bag was $9. I don't golf, but a friend of mine was delighted to get them for my cost. I knew he needed some.  His were lost during Huricane Ike

All the worthless junk,garbage,defectives,etc,are the goods placed in-to the original thrift/racket stores.
This is why i don't shop in:
1)Boutiques.
2)Jumble shops.
3)pawn shops.
4)Et.Al.
