Human beings CAN change! Change is hard, but we can be better than what we are...love over fear. But what is all encompassing has no opposite.

Send me link by PM. We used to have ideas about round-robin events: Zulu vs Vikings, Apaches vs Mongols, Mongols vs Franks, Huns vs Souix etc back decades ago. I want to sue! hahahah

Appears it was a battalion of Marines. But sending the link.

Imagine sitting beside this guy in a bar.   It would be awesome...or conversely...the authorities would find him in a river.  Depending on one's temperament.

Don't say such things.  ;D

Well technically Ellis wrote that the universe we perceive was a holographic projection of a two-dimensional universe.

There was a tv series about just such match ups... At least in some parallel universe there was.

Probably on the military channel. All done in CGI

Found it...

Yes I think I  saw that years ago. Thought it was US Marines in Afghanistan.  Hinted that it was a crazy time travel thing gone wrong or some such thing. Would wish it was written.

Author R.W. Peake, retired USMC has a bunch of Roman novels. But has one stand alone book where Julius Caesar lives and isn't assassinated.  He goes to attack thru Persia and on to India, to Korea, parts of China and the legions are many years later, undefeated attacking the "Wa" , the Japanese.  Great story, very good author, called Caesar Ascending.

Yes sir, that's the one. The guy wrote the entire story, if I'm not mistaken.

This is why I dislike PMs...  I don't like PMS either.

Put it up in Random Things for all to see, even me?

An alleged Minister who doesn't have a firm understanding on the Crucifixion. Makes me dubious on his being a true Man of God.
Universal Unitarian   Whole different God

ShayP

This guy is infatuated with muscular entities and Lebron James.

Idea: The Zulus defeat the British thanks to the aid of a Time-Traveling Chaka Khan.

Good. I cast no aspersions, except that REAL, and I understand that it is always changing if new stuff discovered, that that the popular or novelized or, even faked, becomes more recognized.
Absolutely agree. You must have a firm stance in reality to understand or just enjoy fiction...or at least I think so. When you see the errors, mistakes and muffs you know the author is either stupid or does not care. Some are just writen as fiction but putting you into the scene, Shaara etc. So it has to have a basis in truth to be enjoyed, at least to me. Now the alt universe stuff  is different animal altogether.

I've read a bunch of free ebooks from Project Gutenberg that were early "faction". Introducing characters into things like the Alamo, and Spanish American War. Interesting reading. The main author I read was Edward Stratemeyer. Dude write over 1300 books back in the day of the manual typewriter.

I found them interesting. Some were written along the lines of "The Hardy Boys". In fact his syndicate started that series and Nancy Drew Mysteries.

The price was right.
