MITD is not just "a podcast"; it was the return of Art F**king Bell, who left radio at the top of the non-daytime talk heap and with 500+ affiliates, including most of the urban monster stations. To the contrary of your notion, I believe a mere 50 or so mostly smallish affiliates after five months were a huge disappointment to the DMDN principals and our favorite host started looking for a door.

You really think 50 terrestrial radio affiliates in 5 months (and btw it was technically a podcast) is anything to scoff at? Most internet radio shows aren't on any terrestrial radio stations. What is the matter with people? I just read what Art says is his last social media post as people are saying awful things about Heather and himself. Trolls love kicking the stuffing of people when they are down as Art is for the moment or starting something new as Heather is. First some gun shooting criminal kicks Art off the air and now all the jerky trolls come out of the woodork like so many cockroaches to do their worst.

I believe the person or persons who shot Art off the air will be found, apprehended, prosecuted and incarcerated. I believe that he will return to the air again in peace and safety. I am holding that vision for him and invite his fans everywhere to do the same.

Heather is doing a great job IMO. If the shots had never been fired at Art and she had had her own show on the network, I would have been a listener. I like her voice, her style, her attitude and her questions.

Art, Heather, don't let the uglies get to you.I have been Art's fan since 1996 and am now Heather's fan, and I know by the volume of calls Heather answered yesterday evening offering appreciation and support that I am not alone. Focus on all the positive energy being sent to you both by your audiences and let that feed you. I'm so distressed that this is what we are left with in regards to late night radio.  You have Norry, who traumatizes you with dating sites.  Then, you have Heather, nothing personal, but I could listen to free podcasts of beginners if I wanted to listen to that. 

This is not a Happy Radio Christmas for me.  What do I want for Christmas?  Art back.  Norry to divorce advertising his dating lines on the show.  I know of someone who goes into flasbacks when she hears it, and now I am just disgusted with it.  If I wanted Coast to be an infomercial, I would watch television and the shopping channel. Sorry to get so off topic, but I am just not happy with any of these developments.

I think she should post her high school graduation picture to satisfy people who need a face. Since most people change dramatically from their high school picture, there should be no harm in it. But I am merely jesting. She really has no need to show us her face. None whatsoever. If an unknown young man replaced Art, would the same people demand his photo? I bet not. In a sense, it is sort of a sexist request.

I say this without rancor. Why have you taken upon yourself the role of forum cop? People can post whatever they like here, including a cathartic release of anger at art and displeasure with Heather. While I have no such need, forums are generally where such comments are common. I honestly do not see how you decided you were the unelected administrator of the board, telling people to get lost if they don't enthusiastically like the show, the modern equivalent of LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT.  Can you imagine how dull this forum would be if the only posts allowed were oozing with sugar for Heather and Art? Lol I actually filled out an online quote request due to a hail damage claim. It took him about 4 weeks to respond.  I would've entertained a bid but I can't wait that long.  He said it was due to being behind from overwhelming demand.  I hope that's true--- bodes well for ad impact at MITD

After the last few days of posts in this and the other threads... I am absolutely convinced that whoever has been causing trouble for Art has been posting some of the recent vitriol around here.  The level of hate doesn't seem to logically add up, and the piling on seems a little too intense. If I'm wrong, that just means that certain people's lives revolve around a radio show that's had a new host for a week and that 9/11 happened all over again because of it.  Take a test drive at culver city Toyota ...
