You got it in one!  I have heard this guy a lot. I had a phase where I enjoyed listening to these fundamentalist wackjobs who push and squeeze the paranormal so it fits into totally unrelated Bible verses. It can be quite amusing and shows how humans filter information.  If you start off with the belief that the Bible is literally true, don't be surprised if everything you find agrees with you.

Of course, to use a Norryism. Hopefully nobody buys this stuff. But you "docs" and even scientists need to keep an open mind because so many measures, studies (even double etc blind or statistical) etc are constantly being non-confirmed, changed, "massaged," and so on. And that is, actually, real science....always being changed- not "popular opinion" or "consensus."

Hmmm... Seems to me that Art did the same thing (most of the time.)  Yeah- the guest is not great- but she is doing fine (realizing that it is a subjective judgement.)
