There is a lot of really screwed up shit in the world, and often in families or organizations or cults, or with single-moms and "boyfriends" because it becomes "normalized," you don't know better, or you are afraid for your siblings/parents, nowhere to go, etc. Lots of psychological and f'cked up stuff goes on. And worse.
