I don't watch Post-code films on commercial tv.  They cut too much.
I like them that way so that younger generations can see them without the 'bad parts.' Plus it shows a film can be funny without cursing, epithets, violence, etc. And also because it is great fun to see how the cuts happen, over time and what channels....will the 'wide-eyed black' during a stunt or such be banned or the 'sexists comment?' Will the 'religious jokes' be banned, and 'how so?' Will brands of alcohol be banned (Wild Turkey banned from Christmas Vacation but Coors still used in Smokey and the Bandit?) Will the "Oriental" and "Jew" joke be banned. Endless in good movies....so on tv, fun to see. Better than the incest stuff. I'm bailing also, not fault of Dave likely an interesting Devil Cult, or whatever, but less on the details of abuse, more on the conspiracy (cult, perverted religion, Satan, CIA mind-control, cartel, white-slavery, etc....)

Sorry I need funny things to help keep me from bawling.

I'm going to stick with the show.  I know what you mean about those films but I'm too much of a purist.  I want to watch a film as it was meant to be seen.

West Virginia produces an unusual amount of prolific serial killers. And pedos apparently.

I haven't noticed any yet but Caddyshack is pretty mild in terms of language I think.

Plus I don't want to to watch 40 minutes of commercials.

This calls for the old Billy Baroo! ;D

Ted Knight made that film!

You miss the nuances. Because almost all the films you love were edited. So why stop there? When it was unavailable on stuff I bought an illegal copy CD-ROM Movie (I think DIV-X) from Kwoonloon of "Cannonball Run." It was hilarious. Subtitled in two Chinese languages. Which differed so much from the actual language. It was awesome. Likewise how you can see "Fast Times" or "Warriors" on tv, VHS, DVD, or rereleases with different soundtracks, endings, etc.

ps: guest from West Virginia. Not that I'm an expert but I told you not much "Wisconsin" in this guest,  or Minnesota in Dave. Accent-wise.

Yeah. Actually parts of the State are really nice, with nice place to whitewater raft, hunt, etc but lots of poor, exploited, white-trash types, paranoid, lest I be racist exploited by situation, mining companies, taxes, drug companies, company towns, etc types and, until recently, almost total Party/Company control, plus lots of the clan-style stuff brought over from the old country, so close to some of the richest areas of the country (expanded DC Metro area.)

Well, yeah, all films are edited but to the director's or producer's vision.  I'm anal about it, I know.  I just hate commercials and they have like 25 minutes per hour now.  No thanks.

Is that like K2?
Yes, that is likely sold in W.Va also in addition to all the Oxy.   :(

Sorry, gang. Can't go there tonight, will pass on both Mr. Dave and HW's shows tonight. Too much heavy stuff to deal with during the day, need to lighten up a bit tonight.

Anon!

I do love that film an awful lot.  It is funny seeing Henry Wilcoxon from De Mille's films cursing God on the golf course. ;D  Love Ted Knight too.

Dave...

At what age did you broach the crime topic with your kids, how detailed did you get, and what do you tell them to do to protect themselves?

Only thing I cannot abide is "colorization," like your guy in Hotlanta liked to do. Actually, at some times I've "decolorized" some movies that are too bright, well just adjust brightness, hue, and whatnot. If there is a warning: "edited" for whatever reason beforehand I don't mind. Fair-warning is all I ask. I don't like when books or movies are edited without warning or without the original being preserved. The Bible, for example, is being edited now several times (as it had before but now not for 'translation' but for 'trans' and 'gender' issues.  A few years back Amazon deleted, in a prescience situation, people's version of "1984" from Kindles due to a wrong copyright issue!

Is he talking about the 2000 kids and zero tolerance?

No.  ::)

Actual American citizens who are suffering and need help right here at home. What a novel concept, eh?

Sorry you had your daughter molested like that, Dave. :(

He's likely talking about Laura Silsby, Silsby's Lawyer, and his wife, Weiner, Podesta, and all the rest of the kidfuckers in the Clinton campaign?

I can't stand adult dismissals of situations like this... Especially their own children...

Yes, the femicide (they had to invent a term even) in Mexico is horrible and also some women's groups says upwards of 60% of illegals, including children, females are raped or abused as they come up. So when the often unaccompanied children are found, if they haven't been killed, held for ransom, sold into sex slavery, or just died, by BP or ranchers or humanitarian groups are often not with their parents or with people who can't be proven are their parents/relative. And even IF so, any parent who allows their child to submit to those conditions should be allowed to have their child? Without a hearing and some people asking the child 'what happened?' US Citizens, or even illegals here, if they submitted their children to those conditions would be QUICKLY separated from their parents by CPS (or depending on State various authorities.) Actually, believe-it-or-not, a US citizen traveling to Mexico, or Europe, or anywhere they check your ID and passport and if a single-parent or names don't match etc they "hold" and check up and even "separate". TSA even "separates" if a "substance" or "alert" is found, for a time.
