Honestly this was in many ways the best tribute to Art I've heard. All the others involved past guests and people that seemed to know more the radio host Art Bell. Karen have a heartfelt and sincere look into the man behind the show. It in a lot of ways made me consider him in a different light.

I liked listening to everyone, although I admit I liked listening to the ones with MV by far the best.  I really don't understand why they left.

Thank you for posting that list; it will be interesting to hear what RC sounds like in 2018.

(I assume they are no longer in the "shipping" business.) 

Last that I looked, they still own the Ross Revenge and they broadcast from it in dry dock every few months (nostalgia?)  I think they also do tours on it and have put up a new antenna.  I read quite a lot on it a year or two ago and cannot believe that it still floats (though it is no longer sea worth- not that little details like that ever dissuaded the operators form anchoring them in the ocean.)

You think Art knew of her scheme to leave before he died, or was like 'I'm dying, I don't give a fuck'?

You tell me.  You seem to know alot more than you let on.
I bailed when Art quit.  After a year I started listening again and Heather had grown better, more comfortable with herself, but, as other commenters have said about 6-7 mos ago i noticed a change in the engagement with the audience, the quality of guests and callers also. 
   Now my feeling is everyone close to Art knew he wasn't long for this world and Heather obviously had a longstanding problem with Keith so when Art goes 73's on everyone some things were said or not said and Heather split.   
   Now what we don't know is why?  Heather has had two shows where she has said nothing except keith wouldn't  talk to her and then fired her for not showing up for two weeks.
   Keith has said he gave her first one week and then another week and when she didn't respond for that monday may whatever he fired her because he needed to keep the show going.
    All heather has told her people publicly is that keith wouldn't let her come back on, that she wanted to.  but heather has never shown any proof(ie i called, emailed, multiple times blah, blah).   
   So i surmised that she decided to bail on DMRN for some reason.  Or keith fucked her over,  I would appreciate her (or you) show us how he did fucked her over and then i will adjust my view according to the evidence. 
   I have no doubt Keith is a smart cat, and he and heather weren't the best of friends  but he said publicly(emails) that he was waiting for her to get a hold of him (see bg pages $&#?)and there was a brouhaha over guest fill-ins....
and so i come to your question did i think art knew of her scheme to leave? No.  I don't think she even knew until the ball started rolling.  I do think Art cared for DMRN and doesn't want to see it go down the tubes.  I also think art cared for his long time friend and business partner keith.  I also think Art cared alot for Heather and wants to see her do well in life. 
   I don't think Art told Heather to leave DMRN and go off on her own immediately after he died.  So then why'd she do it?
   There are things i do not know so i cant fucking make a totally informed decision.  I have only what i can glean and both sides of this mess are probably holding things back in order to make themselves look good/ innocent.
I know keith is smart and experienced but if Heather can show me HOW he burned her, instead of just saying he fired her, i'll listen.
    Maybe she was just tired of a million little slights and in the chaos of a great mans death(yes, Art was Great!) decided she could do better on her own.  Maybe "evil" keith fucked her over but if he did, wheres the beef?
