Bart Ell Legacy might be one of my favorite BellGab chapters ever. I'm sorry you were banned for a short period a long time ago. What a big goddamned mistake that was. It adds to your street legacy, though.

OK thank you for the information / confirmation.  My mind is whirring with questions.  Like, what made Heather go off her rocker?  For the record I quit listening to MITD after hearing her like twice.  But my interest is piqued about this mystery host, and how did Heather quit or get pushed out...?  Also, I can't mention this anywhere but here, so... You know how Art married a super younger woman?  Well I like Dave Schrader but when he posted pics of his new wife - Jeeze they looked so much like Art and his wife, like, they were the Hallmark Movie of Art's life.  But I'm not being negative.  Just observing.  I love you guys.

Hello, I kind of get that this thread is for zingers so I hope I'm not out of line here.  But I'm desperate.  I've been trying to keep up with the Twitter war that involves Heather, Keith, even sweet little old George Knapp and a bunch of others.  I know only the BellGab guys & gals can tell me.... WTF HAPPENED?!  It looks like Heather got upset and quit because Art died?  Keith suddenly hates Heather?  Heather hates everyone?  And Keith is trying to hype up a grand entrance to a new "mystery" host, but Snoory slipped up and told everyone it's Dave Schrader?  But what about Schrader's existing show?  I'm sorry all of this might be incorrect, I am just trying to gather the facts.

Yes, Heather got upset when Art died and went off the deep end. First, she was pissed that Art's death was announced before she could do it on MitD (presumably to get everyone coming back to MitD for the info). Then she didn't do the show for 2+ weeks and refused to let Keith know when she might return. She also demanded that he not get a fill-in host while she's gone (and refused to provide one).

Keith tried working with her, giving her space, but she badmouthed him and flipped anytime he tried to come to a solution. A couple deadlines were set and missed by Heather so Keith finally terminated her. She pretty much tied his hands up to that point. He was more than generous with the time he gave her, considering no employer I know would have waited that long and not found a fill-in.

In the meantime, Heather has amassed mindless followers who only know what she wants them to know and continue to rip Keith apart. Also, despite living next door, she did not attend Art's funeral nor drive his wife to the service (these things were mentioned, interpret them as you may). A close friend of Art's, Karen from KNYE, did a show discussing how pissed she was the Nye County Sheriff announced Art's death. She claimed Heather was supposed to be on but didn't appear for some unknown reason. Karen has since made negative posts about Heather's weeks-long self-pity party and how it needs to stop.

Yes, Heather seems to hate everyone. She and Rosegirl (AKA Lasha Seniuk) have been all over social media expressing that sentiment. Heather called George Knapp a vulture after George posted an interview he did with Art in tribute (or some kinda related audio - something that was done long before Heather was in the picture). Lasha continues to stir the pot as well.

Heather also appeared on a crappy podcast show called UFO Undercover with Joe Montaldo (I think this links to the interview episode: https://soundcloud.com/uprn/ufo-undercover-tonight-guest ) that was a trainwreck. She was rude to the host, stopped mid-interview to take a personal phone call, wouldn't let the host run the show and was obviously screening callers hard despite trying to act like she wasn't (as evidenced by later remarks she made about Bellgabbers not calling in on social media). The episode was a mix of her barking demands at the host in between fake sobs and syncophants fawning. Quite the spectacle. Although one caller got in with a great question about whether or not she was Art's mistress.  And there was a highly suspect anecdote Heather told about Art, which he obviously cannot verify at this point.

Keith announced that he has found a new host for MitD, but hasn't said who. Through tons of Bellgab speculation, the potential list was narrowed down to a few people. Noory popped on the forums here and by his presence, and the fact he indicated that he "knows" the host, many deduced that it is Dave Schrader. Noory didn't come out and say it directly, but the clues are there. They did announce that Ian Punnett is returning to C2C, though, presumably to replace whoever is joining MitD.

And tonight MitD starts again, for the first time since Art died (and having never put on a tribute show thanks to Heather - not counting Keith's bumper music marathon).

Someone else can chime in if I forgot anything. There are tons of little snippets of conversation and details floating around, but I think that covers the key events as I remember them. lol

No problem! I know it's tough to jump right into this thread, and it also gets frustrating when people have to repeat stuff. So maybe I'll just repost my post with updates every now and again. lol

I stopped listening to Heather early on. I just couldn't stand her voice or approach or anything. And it seemed to get worse. It was like she was trying to do a really bad Art Bell impersonation. She had no charisma and had a history of getting shitty with people on the air. Some people liked her at first, but I could not get into the show at all.

I will say two things about Noory: 1.) I think he was being genuine when announcing Art's death on the air and I appreciate that. 2.) You have to hand it to the guy for coming into the wolves den and mingling, even if he has ulterior motives. We don't see Heather around here and she used to be "one of us," so to speak (whatever "we" are).

And you have good timing if you want to hear the big event as it unfolds. I think you can listen live for free. Go to the site here: http://midnightinthedesert.com/ and I think it is one of the links under "Radio Show." Otherwise, you have to pay to get access to the archive.
