You make an excellent fucking point, man. That shit drives me crazy, too. We're such fucking hypocrites with this shit. We don't want to see all these unpleasant things other people do, but when we do it in our own "sanitized" way it's no problem! It's all about how it "makes us feel", not whether it's actually good and practical or not. Guillotines make people feel all bad and icky because people associate certain things with them, like "medieval" and "barbaric". The fact that they're quick, efficient, and far less painful [if not outright painless] doesn't really matter to people. It's all about how they "feel". Fucking children...  :

If we really want capital punishment, which I personally think shouldn't exist, we can at least make it efficient. We can put someone under like we do for a colonoscopy, and then use the guillotine. It works. There are problems with electric chairs and lethal injections, they don't always work right. The guillotine does. If that disturbs pro-death penalty people, well then they need to rethink their beliefs and ask themselves why they are disturbed.
